With a sky-high Attack stat and a powerful STAB Close Combat, Mega Gallade serves as a potent wallbreaker in the tier, able to pressure common defensive cores featuring Pokemon such as Skarmory, Ting-Lu, and Mega Venusaur. Mega Gallade's good Speed tier also allows it to notably get the jump on threats like non-Choice Scarf Enamorus, Keldeo, and Galarian Zapdos. After a Swords Dance boost, Mega Gallade can OHKO a majority of the tier, including bulky Pokemon like Iron Hands, Hippowdon, and Mega Latias. Close Combat OHKOes threats like Mega Tyranitar, Excadrill, and Hydreigon while 2HKOing bulkier Pokemon like Celesteela and Gastrodon. Zen Headbutt threatens Mega Venusaur, Amoonguss, and Iron Moth while also being its strongest move against Fairy-types like Tapu Fini and Clefable. Triple Axel threatens Flying-types like both Thundurus formes and Enamorus as well as Dragon-types like Salamence, Mega Latias, Mega Latios, and Mega Altaria while also being its strongest move against Mega Sableye. Earthquake threatens Fire-types that resist or are immune to Close Combat like Iron Moth, Victini, and Blacephalon as well as Okidogi. Physical cleaners like Meowscarada and Scizor appreciate Mega Gallade being able to threaten their switch-ins such as Mega Venusaur and Skarmory, (Add comma) respectively, potentially allowing them to sweep late-game once the aforementioned walls have been chipped down or removed. Talk about Mega Gallade's own sweeping ability here or in the section about its walls, since as stated earlier it is a pretty good cleaner Mega Gallade's frailty means it's OHKOed by faster threats like Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf Galarian Zapdos, so teammates who can handle them like Skarmory and Slowbro are appreciated.
