ORAS OU Mega Gallade Team HO

As I have been perfecting my battling in OU, I decided to stray from balanced teams and make my first HO team. I'm willing to make any changes to the team.

Seto Kaiba (Gallade) (M) Galladite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Attack/252 Speed/4 HP
IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Adamant Nature
Shiny? Yes
Moves:

Close Combat
Poison Jab
Shadow Sneak
Psycho Cut

This is obviously the star of the team. Gallade provides the team with Rock and Poison coverage it definitely needs. Close Combat is Gallade's main STAB hitting all sorts of Pokemon in OU such as non-scarf Excadrill, Chansey and Mega Lopunny for insane damage. Psycho Cut was chosen as the Psychic STAB since Psycho Cut had the more positive features than Zen Headbutt plus I don't have to worry about my Psychic STAB missing. Shadow Sneak gives Gallade a way to revenge kill faster pokemon such as Mega Alakazam and Gengar. Finally Poiso Jab gives Gallade some Fairy coverage since the team already has a way to deal with Landorus-Therian and Gliscor. Adamant Nature was chosen over Jolly for more power to Gallade's Close Combat. The classic fast physical sweeper EVs are the EVS I chose which are 252 Attack/252 Speed and 4 HP. Galladite is the item of choice allowing Gallade to mega evolve. Justified is the chosen ability, as to let Gallade switch on Dark Type attacks and get a free Attack boost from them.

excadrill.gif

Excadrill (M) Choice Scarf
Nickname: Excedrin
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Attack/252 Speed/4 HP
IVS:31/31/31/31/31/31
Nature: Adamant
Shiny? No
Moves:
Rapid Spin
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Iron Head

My second physical sweeper of my HO team! Excadrill provides a easy way to defeat banded T-Flame locked into Brave Bird. It also provides ways to defeat Fire and Electric Types. Earthquake is the chosen Ground STAB as it is reliable and provides a decent STAB, Same as Iron Head. Rock Slide rounds out Excadrill's coverage by allowing it to hit Flying Types like Zapdos in which it cannot touch without. Rapid Spin allows Excadrill to get rid of hazards like Stealth Rock and Spikes. Choice Scarf is chosen so it can get important KOs like on Talonflame and Mega Gardevoir. Adamant is chosen for more power overall to Excadrill's moves.

azumarill.gif

Azumarill (F) Sitrus Berry
Nickname: Toy Bonnie
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Attack/252 HP/4 Def
IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Nature: Adamant
Shiny? No
Moves:
Aqua Jet
Play Rough
Superpower
Belly Drum

The final physical sweeper on the team! Azumarill! Azumarill's combination of resisting Fire and Fighting as well as taking on Ground Types with relative ease made it the perfect pokemon to put on this team. Azumarill's main core of this set is to get a Belly Drum up and sweep. Belly Drum makes Azumarill into a deadly sweeper allowing it to KO the entire OU tier with ease. Aqua Jet is a useful move to spam when Azumarill gets a Belly Drum up. Aqua Jet gives Azumarill a STAB priority to make up for it's pathetic base 50 speed and Aqua Jet hits exceptionally hard at +6. Play Rough gives Azumarill to dent Chansey and Porygon2 who both live Azumarill's +6 Aqua Jet it also hurts everything weak to it outright KOing. Superpower allows Azumarill to beat Mega Aggron and Mega Steelix 1v1 and defeat Steel Types on the dot. Adamant is chosen as it is Azumarill's most beneficial nature. Sitrus Berry is chosen as Azumarill can recover HP when it belly drums.

porygonz.gif

PorygonZ (-) Choice Specs
Nickname: Windows-10
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Sp.Attack/252 Speed/4 HP
IVS: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Nature: Modest
Shiny? Yes
Moves:
Tri Attack
Dark Pulse
Ice Beam
Psyshock

PorygonZ is my main special sweeper hitting for high damage with his strong Specs Adaptability boosted Tri Attack. Tri Attack is my main STAB hitting most things for high damage. Dark Pulse allows PorygonZ to get past fiendish Ghost Types with ease. Psyshock hits Blissey on it's Defense allowing it to get past it along with destroying Fighting Types with it. Finally Ice Beam is used as coverage to hit Ground/Steel Types making PorygonZ less walled by them. Modest is the chosen nature as it increases the power of PorygonZ's attacks noticeably. Adaptability is the chosen ability to make Tri Attack hit a lot harder than it would without it. Choice Specs makes PorygonZ's Special Attack stat rocket. Hitting everything for hard damage.

raikou.gif

Raikou (-) Leftovers
Nickname: Raja
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Speed/252 Sp.Attack/4 HP
IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Nature: Timid
Shiny? No
Moves:
Thunderbolt
Calm Mind
Shadow Ball
Substitute

Raikou's SubCalmMind set is coming back to play! Raikou's strong Electric STABS hit Flying Types for good damage as well as Water Types which covers up some weaknesses on my team that I have. Thunderbolt is Raikou's STAB hitting anything that doesn't resist it hard at +1. Shadow Ball hits everything else minus Krookodile for decent damage and allows Raikou to hit Steel/Ground Types. Calm Mind is the staple of the set along with Substitute allowing Raikou to set up Calm Mind safely behind the Substitute. Leftovers is the chosen item for this set so Raikou can passively recover HP while behind the Substitute. Timid is used so Raikou can outspeed base 105 positive natured pokemon such as Jolly Mega Pinsir. Pressure is the selected ability because it is the only available ability for Raikou.

serperior.gif

Serperior (M) Life Orb
Nickname: Malathemis
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 Speed/252 Sp.Attack/4 HP
IVs: 31/30/31/30/31/30
Nature: Timid
Shiny? No
Moves:
Hyper Beam
Leaf Storm
Hidden Power {Fire}
Dragon Pulse

The final member of my team is Serperior! Serperior provides yet another way to defeat Ground Types and Water Types. It also resists Grass Type attacks too. Leaf Storm is the selected STAB as due to Contrary instead of lowering Serperior's Sp.Attack by two it actually raises Serperior's Sp.Attack by two! Next, Dragon Pulse provide Serperior with Dragon coverage whch it really needs. Hidden Power Fire lets Serperior hit both Ferrothorn and Scizor for good damage at +2. Finally Hyper Beam is Serperior's version of Final Gambit, which hits most pokemon hard or outright OHKOing them. Life Orb is the selected item as to increase Serperior's damage output. Timid Nature as to make Serperior speed tie with Gengar and both Lati twins.

Hey cool team, but it could use a couple of changes. (P.S. I'm using a different format then how I usually rate just as a test to see if I like it or not) Oh boy do I have to start my rant on how bad Mega Gallade is? IMO Mega Medicham actually your team fits better as it has much more offensive power and the team isn't too weak to fast Pokemon anyway. You can run Bullet Punch for Mega Diancie, and Weavile that threaten you or you can run Ice Punch against Landorus-Therian, and Tank Chomp which does massive damage. At first I was going to suggest Latios or Latias but then I realized how Latios, Latias, Weavile, and Mega Diancie weak the team looked, so I decided that Skarmory would be a better fit. Skarmory is able to setup and remove hazards which is pretty nice, and Skarmory gives the team some Ground type resistance which this team needs as nothing wants to take damage from an Earthquake. However this makes the team much more weak to Electric types, and Mega Medicham's Fake Out's, Raikou, and Azumarill can probably take on Talonflame. I suggest this EV Spread on Azumarill, EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spe. This allows it to outspeed non-speed invested Clefable and Skarmory while being offensive and having some bulk. I like the use of Porygon-Z which is a very underrated mon in the tier, but I dislike Psyshock as you will still rather spam Tri-Attack and Blissey isn't even a thing in OU but instead Chansey. You can run Hidden Power Ground instead as this will help lure Heatran to then being OHKO'd by it. First off if you're going to run SubCM Raikou you'll want to have Hidden Power Ice>Shadow Ball, this will give you better coverage against Ground types such as Garchomp, and Hippowdon which aren't to big of threats to the team; but nice to continue on the sweep. Honestly what is the purpose of Hyper Beam on Serperior, besides wasting a turn for the opponent to setup? I suggest you run Glare over Hyper Beam, this can help lure Tornadus-Therian making it paralyzed so that the other teammates have an easier time dealing with it. I hoped I helped, have a nice day ^_^

I wouldn't advise using Mega Gallade but if you do, run Jolly and change Poison Jab to Swords Dance. +2 Psycho Cut will handle Fairies just fine. Also don't use Skarmory on an offensive team.

Mega Medicham is quite slow for me. Gallade actually outclasses it in my eyes. Excadrill gets care of Fairies quite well with Scarf Iron Head and my solution to Mega Gardevoir (who was consider for the mega too). I have been meaning to find someone to help me get a HP Ice CM Raikou since rn I'm using my ingame Raikou. I run Hyper Beam over Glare on Serperior as a form of last resort if Serperior lives a hit and has low enough HP to be KOed by Life Orb recoil. HP Ground is actually a good idea for PorygonZ yet I still need Fighting coverage for it so I chose Psyshock instead of it.
