ORAS OU mega gyarados (go away mega metagross)

This is my first rmt, but i've been playing competitively since black and white, since my friend who doesn't play pokemon anymore, introduced me into it.

Basically i made this team because i got sick and tired or mega metagross destroying the other megas since it's so damn bulky. It was basically all i had on my mind, but in the end i made a team just to ladder. Since a few mons went into ou, thought i might as well make a team with them too, back from the pokemon black and white days.

Gyarados @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake/Substitute
The star to the team. It usually counters mega metagross well, unless of course it has hammer arm. I decided on gyarados since it now gets crunch, it will be hitting pretty hard. Crunch and waterfall are the main STABs which deal the main damage to landorus-t rotom-w, and even ferrothorn. I was considering ice fang, however most pokemon would take significant damage upon switching into a max attack m-gyarados at +1. I also decided on earthquake over sub from my team since i usually just want to hit keldeo on the switch and deal damage for other pokes on the team.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
The standard physical set of rotom-w. It's on the team since it's going to be taking on landorus-t and t-flame. Mega metagross' meteor mash won't be doing much at all to it, so a will-o-wisp will hopefully land if they stay in and zen headbutt. And since the wisp is just screaming to land, rotom-w has the volt switch to give the switch advantage to you... hopefully.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball/Power Whip
- Protect
The utility of the team. This spiky annoyance is pretty good in switching into many ou mons, and does its job very well. It can take dracos and recover off with leech seed. Stealth rocks could be replaced for spikes but flying types are an annoyance to this team. Protect just forces some switches especially when the seeds have been planted. Power whip can be taken over gyro ball if needed, but i prefer gyro ball since it's great against the fast mons that switch in on it like latios/latias.

Raikou @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
Ah, raikou, a great pokemon in general and used to use it all the time in black and white over jolteon :). Raikou has natural bulk overall itself, and with calm mind boosts, it can wreak havoc on teams. Leftovers and substitute are great for dodging the wisps and toxics that heatran and opposing rotom-w give out. Calm mind is basically a free +1 and can potentially give way to a sweep for raikou if opponents aren't careful. I actually looked on the pokemon calc and saw they had hp ice over shadow ball, which i dont think is such a great idea. Shadow ball hits mega metagross of course and ferrothorn harder than hp ice. Thunderbolt, obviously for it's main STAB and hits hard on a lot of mons after a calm mind.

Talonflame @ Sky Plate
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 144 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
I felt like i needed some priority that hits hard. Azumarill belly drum first came to mind, but then a meteor mash from mega metagross after +1, well destroyed azumarill before it even got to eat its berry. Sky plate talonflame is great over choice band since it has more longevity, since it can switch up moves and roost off damage. Of course if the opposing talonflame is just max max jolly, then this talonflame can't win, so you'd have to do some work before setting up with this bird. Flare blitz is just another great STAB, because you wouldn't really have anything else to put on the set except maybe will-o-wisp, but that's already taken care of by rotom-w (and has that chance to burn :)).
250px-121Starmie.png

Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Psyshock
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
I felt like i needed a spinner on the team as talonflame is there and rotom-w has to keep switching in and out after volt switching. Since i saw starmie on the ou list again, i decided to use it, especially with the analytic boost and life orb, it hits hard. This, with it's moveset, can take out pokemans, or deal a significant amount of damage. With its speed, it's another good mon on the team. It outspeeds latios/latias and has ice beam to kill them since the latis can't outspeed this. Hydro pump over scald since it does a crap ton of damage to a lot of the ou list and the burn isn't really needed, but of course scald can potentially replace it due to accuracy.

So overall, this team just really hates mega metagross, but i thought about other megas that annoying as well.
Threats to the team:
* mega manectric is basically the main threat to this team, since it's dang thunderbolt does cray cray damage and has massive speed. It also has either flamethrower or over heat for ferrothorn. So just hope you don't see one. The only real counter to it on the team is raikou, so keep it alive if you see mega manectric.
* scarfed lando-t is a potential threat, but of course rotom-w and ferrothorn are pretty good in taking hits.
* Bisharp is another threat, with knock off and sucker punch, but again ferrothorn and rotom-w are pretty good in taking hits, unless it has low kick for ferrothorn (but it's probably not that common... right?).
* Mega lopunny has the hi jump kick and has high speed of 135 just like mega manectric. The only possible counter is talonflame, so hopefully you switch it on the high jump kick. Another alternative is to use protect on ferrothorn and hope they go for the kick and crash.

Not really sure about other threats, but i am open to any ideas or suggestions to make the team better.
