Thank you for taking a look at my team. I've been using it for a while as my go to OU team and i like to think i win more than i lose. i have unintentionally made this team with Pokemon that don't touch the ground a lot, sylveon being the only Pokemon not immune to ground attacks (hmm air balloon). more often than not my biggest threats are to ice and fire attacks mega-charizardY being my worst enemy. if you see any glaring weaknesses or have any suggestions i appreciate the input.
Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Roost
- Dragon Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Dragon Claw
Dragonite is a late game sweeper and most of the time my win condition. Once the rest of team has removed the enemy fairies and bulk, he'll switch in and set up a DD or two and sweep the rest of the enemy team. I don't know if I should give him lots of bulk to help him set up or if I should make him fast and powerful.
Gyarados-Mega @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Iron Head
I often lead with my mega he sets up that intimidate and can deal with a lot of common leads. Earthquake is awesome for dealing with lots of common threats. Crunch and iron head deal with some of my bigger threats like fairies and psychic types and stone edge deals with flyers though I get frustrated by its accuracy.
Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
talonflame is another sweeper roost keeps it alive when it's not up against a super effective foe but i often don't get the chance to use it as he dies easily gale wings making it priority helps. sword dance will quickly make talonflame unstoppable after just one use but again only if you get the chance to use it. brave bird and flare blitz always do a good chunk of damage without a buff and absolutely wreck many walls.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Atk / 72 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance
- U-turn
I recently switched in gliscor replacing metagross who wasn't preforming as well as I wanted. I haven't used him too much yet but I know from battling them they can be particularly troublesome and I have high expectations. I think he'll pair nicely with rotom for a volt switch U-turn combo. I think maybe I should give him stealth rock.
Sylveon @ Life Orb
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Wish
- Baton Pass
- Shadow Ball
I like to use an offensive sylveon to destroy dragons. syveons power catches a lot of opponents off guard who try to set up on sylveon expecting a cleric. Wish heals the team and shadow ball does great neutral damage to most enemies. Baton pass is their to make sure teammates get healed but I haven't decided if I absolutely need it or not.
Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Rest
- Will-O-Wisp
Rotom is my tank and my best answer to fire types. Volt switch is great for obvious reasons and can often deal good damage and set up a free switch in. will-o-wisp does great things against any physical threats. Hydro pump for the stab any fire response. Rest surprises opponents who put status conditions and spend lots of time reducing his health.
things i worry about
Entry hazards especially stealth rock which does decent damage to everything but Gyarados who loses flying after he goes mega.
fire type Pokemon particularly mega Charizard Y who will kill my water types with solar beam (often i'm forced to use Dragonite early to deal with him)
Ice type attacks, I've been swept by an enemy dragonite spamming ice punch more than once. Talonflame who would be my best response is too fragile to deal with it.
