So I was looking around for a Mega Latias team that I liked and I stumbled across a core that really caught my eye and asked the maker to PM me a team with it. The team was very old and I had to replace a few Ubers. This is what got any help is great!
Latias @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def / 160 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Draco Meteor
- Roost
- Stored Power
Latias was the mon I wanted to build around here because he's fairly bulky. What he brings to this team is his incredible bulk and sweeping skill. Pretty standard Mega-Latias set I believe. Calm Mind is there to bulk up your SpD to sweep, Stored Power is extremely powerful with CM, Draco Meteor is great STAB (the SpA drop doesnt matter too mich as she is more bulky than offensive,) and Roost is for healing up damage taken when setting up. I believe this EV spread outspeeds Pokemon of a certain base speed, and the defense is there for bulk. Not sure if I should put less in HP and more in defense.
Cobalion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 248 HP / 144 Def / 116 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
Cobalion was chosen to deal with dark types which Latias cannot. Not too sure about this set as I kind of just winged it here. Focus Blast is there to hit hard, Volt Switch is scouting/momentum, Rocks are self explanatory, and T-Wave is just annoying/preventing sweeps. I'm willing to change this all. Not too sure about the EV's either hut his main purpose is to shut down dark types for Lati.
Tornadus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break
- Knock Off
- U-turn
This was chosen for coverage/momentum. You may be familiar with this set, you pivot off of Knock Off and U-Turn while regaining health off the switch. I chose Aerial Ace because I don't really like mixed sets it was originally Hurricane), and I chose Brick Break for the same reason (and I didnt want Superpower because of the Defense and Special Defense drop). EV's are just to outspeed stuff and hit hard.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 80 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Rotom is basically just coverage for the team (plus Rotom-Wash can be very annoying to deal with). The most basic Rotom-W set ever. Hydro Pump is good STAB, Volt Switch is momentum and STAB, Will-O-Wisp is to cut attack/put pressure, and Pain Split is just annoying and for health. I believe the HP EV's help with pain split, and the Def/SpD is just for extra bulk. May replace Leftovers with Sitrus Berry for even more bulk.
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Atk / 96 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Fire Punch
This Jirachi set looked kinda weird to me tbh, but maybe this is what people run. Iron Head is STAB/Flinch, Sub is a bit iffy to me but I believe it's just to hide behind and hit, Toxic is to put a timer on stuff which can be detrimental, and Fire Punch is just general coverage.
Weavile @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Low Kick
I've had some success with Weavile in the past so he's just here to do work. Ice Shard is priority (which i love), Knock Off is just a good move in general and helps get rid of stuff with Eviolite, Icicle Crash is STAB which hits hard, and Low Kick is good to use against big Pokemon I may come across. The EV's are to outspeed everything and hit hard while doing that.
If you're still reading, TYVM as that was probably pretty painful to read. as you can see, this team needs some major fixing and again, I'll fix up anything you guys want. Maybe I should add in a Clefable or something to deal with Mega-Sableye? Any help is appreciated A LOT.
