Hello guys, this is my first team here on RMT, I hope you enjoy it :]
The Squad
Breakdown
Mia Khalifa (Lopunny-Mega) @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Ice Punch
- Return
Mega-Lopunny is the way to go when we talk about Hyper Offense, this pokémon Mega-Evolves for free at any pokémon just going for the STAB Fake Out, causing damage, flinching the opponent and getting the speed boost to reach (phenomenal) 405 max speed at Jolly nature. High Jump Kick it's a 130 Base Power STAB fighting-type move, allied with the 371 Atack stat of this Mega-Lopunny, it can clean your opponent's team at lategame like it was her job. But hax is a thing, and High Jump Miss can (and will) miss, so that's why we have Return, another powerfull STAB to get more safety, using HJK just when it's necessary. Ice Punch is there for Landorus-T, Gliscor, Hippo and Chomp. It's a very standart set that works really well on this powerhouse. Get Mia Khalifa'd...
Pai Mei (Alakazam) @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Encore
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Grass Knot
Mega-Lopunny already break a whole bunch of the metagame, but burn status and some physical walls stop the Mia Khalifa's good time, and there is where this monster comes in. Alakazam is here to absorb some Will-O-Misses and, of course, explode the opponent's team with that pair of Uranium-237 spoons. Encore is there for the rockers and annoying set up sweepers, if your opponents try to set up or spread cancer on your side of the field, just encore it and you get a free hit on the switch. Psychic pretty much for STAB. Shadow Ball for coverage, and Grass Knot for TTar and Hippo, since it's a 2HKO on both and Scarf TTar doesn't even come close to this monster's insane speed. Get Pai Mei'd...
EarthCake is a lie (Landorus-Therian) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn
A team is not a team without Landorus-T on it. Why is this pokémon here? I tell yah, with everyone using double dance and rocks Lando-T, a Scarf will really lure your opponent, and a mistake is more than you need to be defeated in pokémon. This powerhouse can sweep at the late game, without problems, but in this team Landorus is more usefull as a pivot and wallbreaker for other pokémon such as Lopunny and Talon. There's nothing much to say about this monster, OK speed + scarf makes it outspeed almost all OU non-scarf metagame; insane Attack stat with STAB EQ, enough to blow away anything; Intimidate is one of the best Abilities out there, and allied with U-Turn to get Lando out, you can neutralize some physical threats. You can also use Stealth Rock for breaking some sashes, but I think that Lop's Fake Out already do a great job on free damage, but you are free to improve :]
Sanic (Starmie) @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
In a world where you gotta go fast
, having this offensive spinner is really good. Starmie is definitely the best OU spinner, it's insane speed and getting access to the best move in the game (Scald) makes it really great, but with Life Orb and Analytic, if your opponent switch any spin blocker at your face you can blow that pokémon away without problems. Scald is there because of it's 99,9999...% chance of burning, that's why. Ice Beam is the way to kill Tank Chomp that will try to kill you with the recoil so it can block your spinning. Hydro Pump is there to explode things away with style, but be careful, don't trust too much on Hydro Miss.
Talonflango (Talonflame) @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 192 HP / 40 Atk / 212 SpD / 64 Spe
Careful Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp
- Brave Bird
What time is it? Yes, you know it, BRAVE BIRD TIME!!! You might ask yourself why is Support/Set up Talon in a Hyper Offense team? Because I want :] Anyway, this pokémon is so great and have so much potential that I can't use that stupid Banded set, I'm sorry. It have enough EVs to burn max speed Adamant Chomp, and it can survive a Thunderbolt from a non-Life Orb thundurus, and with priority Roost it can heal while taking only half damage from the next Thunderbolt. It can cause some damage and help Lop/Zam to sweep, it can revenge kill, it can set up sweep in the lategame, it can neutralize physical attackers, it can stall Life Orb neutral special attackers with Roost, can you see so much potential in any other pokemon?
$_GET['rekt'] (Zapdos) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Volt Switch
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
A lost set from thousands of years ago is finally back. The almight Specs Zapdos, it's really underground but don't underestimate this monster. This god entered the team because of a necessity to counter Mega-Scizor and to get some OHKO on Ferrothorns, two really big problems to this team so far, but while the legendary Specs Zapdos lives, this mere mortals will fall. Volt Switch will make a little Volt-Turn with Lando-T, causing a lot of damage and getting switch advantage, pure momentum. Heat Wave will explode anything that is super-effective, such as Ferrothorn, (Mega)Scizor, Celebi, Jirachi, Klefki, Magnezone, Mega-Metagross, Serperior, Skarmory (even the Sp Def), etc. T-bolt will be used to kill some immediate threats and to clean some insistent healers. HP Ice is just for coverage.
How To Use
There's no secret on Hyper Offense, hit, and hit hard, everything on the opponent's team. Don't be afraid to predict, go nuke style, blowing away everything that the opponent puts on the field. Think like that: at the field you have your pokémon and the opponent's fodder.
Threats
Banded Dragonite is a problem, it can outprioritize Talonflame with Extreme Speed, and do a hell of damage to everyone on the team, and losing a pokémon in Hyper Offense is really bad because you need the whole team's synergy to evaporate anything at the other side of the field.
Mega-Gyarados is one of the most powerful pokémon on the OU meta, but still not so used. If it gets a chance to set up on the switch just type /forfeit, it's less humiliating.
Importable
PLEASE!! let me now what you think and help me improve this team and use at will, good luck, may the force be with you...
Note: English isn't my native language so I'm sorry for any misspelled word, I hope you understand.
