ORAS OU Mega Manectric OU Team

Hello i want to share this team with you, this is one of my best teams in OU, hope you like :), if you liked this post i will go up more teams like this :D

THE TEAM:

manectric-mega.gif

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]

This is my mega, it's used to be a powerfull special sweeper and scare bulky waters, flamethrower is a excelent coverage move to hit ferrothorn, scizor and many steel types in OU, HP Ice can hit very well dragon and ground types such as garchomp, gliscor or landorus-t, volt switch allows mega manectric to pivot out of unfavorable matchups and ease prediction when the foe also switches out.

heatran.gif

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Protect
- Lava Plume

Heatran is an excelent speciall wall, can use stealth rock to give some adventage to the team, toxic can wear down defensive pokemon, protect increase heatran's longevity by giving it extra turns of leftovers recovery, lava plume is a excelent move because has 30 % chance to burn and it's a basic STAB move to heatran.

latias.gif

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
- Defog

Latias is an excellent support for the team because she can use defog to remove entry hazards the field, draco meteor is a powerful STAB move that deals heavy damage to many offensive Pokemon such as charizard-x or manaphy, psyshock is a secondary STAB move that targets specially bulky pokemon such as chansey, sylveon, and azumarill, as well as fighting- and poison-types such as keldeo, breloom, conkeldurr, gengar, mega venusaur, and amoonguss, healing wish revives a weakened setup sweeper, giving it a second chance to sweep.

rotom-w.gif

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump

My physically defensive Pokemon in this team, will o wisp can stop many physical sweepers such as scizor, garchomp and bisharp, pain split is the best option to recovery when his hp is low, volt switch is rotom-w's electric STAB move that allows it to regain momentum after pivoting into a threat, finally hydro pump is the best STAB of this pokemon that can hit pokemon such as heatran and landorus-t.

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Knock Off

The purpose of this set is to revenge kill opposing threats and grab momentum with u-turn, stone edge is a coverage move that can deal a lot of damage in flying types such as talonflame, thundurus and tornadus-t, knock off can hit very well pokemon such as latios and latias, earthquake is landorus-t's best STAB attack due to its great power and perfect accuracy, dealing good damage against most opposing threats that do not resist or are immune to it.

bisharp.gif

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Knock Off

Bisharp is the best option to deal with latios and latias that can do a lot of damage to rotom-w, manectric and latias, swords dance makes bisharp a powerfull pokemon boosting his attack to insane levels, knock off is a STAB move that can hit very well pokemon such as heatran, iron head it's another STAB move of bisharp that can hit many fairy types such as sylveon and clefable, sucker punch is the last move of this pokemon and another STAB that can hit faster pokemon than bisharp.

excadrill.gif

Excadrill scarf with mold breaker can break the team if landorus-t is fainted.

kyurem-black.gif

Kyurem-b life orb can do a lot of damage on the team, latias can defeat it but if latias is defeated you are in trouble.

charizard-mega-x.gif

Charizard-x at +2 in attack and speed can break the team if landorus-t is fainted.

volcarona.gif

Volcarona´s quiver dance and HP ground can break down the team after 2 quiver dance.

Ehy :) my advice for your team is to replace Roost>healing Wish on
380.png
because help you vs
647-resolution.png
and
243.png

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Roost

Change Magma Storm Heatran>Your heatran because this set help you vs Stall. Other good option is Chople berry>Power Herb and Taunt/Flash Cannon>Solar Beam for Help you vs
282.png
and
094.png
that are a big weakness for the team.
The given EV spread lets Heatran outspeed a plethora of threats such as Adamant Excadrill and Jolly Mega Heracross, both of which are decimated by Magma Storm; it also lets Heatran outrun and 2HKO standard bulky Will-O-Wisp Mega Charizard X with Earth Power. Other uses of the spread include outrunning Mega Tyranitar, standard stallbreaker Mew, Adamant Gyarados, Dragonite, Breloom, and Bisharp.
Maximum Special Attack investment is given to hit as hard as possible, wearing down stall quicker and making Heatran more difficult to switch into when facing against offensive teams.
Heatran @ Power Herb/Chople berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Solar Beam/Flash Cannon/taunt

the Spread evoid the 2HKO of Kyurem, Latios, Diancie and Manecrit. The evs in Def evoid the 2HKO of Lopunny and Scizor choice Band

Specially Defensive Heatran is not ideal for such an offensively oriented team. Given that all of the threats you mentioned have issues dealing with Air Balloon Heatran, I would recommend such a Heatran instead. Something like this:

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power / Flash Cannon
- Stone Edge

Also, I disagree with EzioAuditorium's suggestion of Roost > Healing Wish on Latias. This team has no countermeasures against Pursuit, except against Choice Scarf Tyranitar, and Latias often finds itself being an inferior Latios without running Healing Wish or a Mega Stone (which works better on slower teams). I would just say keep Healing Wish instead of Roost, otherwise just replace Latias with Latios.

I also find Rotom-W to be more of a luxury on this team; aside from Mamoswine and Mega Swampert, it does not check anything notable that threatens your team. Given that your team could use a wallbreaker that could break down bulky Grounds for Mega Manectric, Landorus-T, and Bisharp, I would recommend Life Orb Kyurem-B > Rotom-W. Kyurem-B breaks down those pesky Ground-types, in addition to Mega Venusaur, while providing another Water resist and a mon that appreciates the capabilities of every other mon on your team (and no, Rotom-W is not ideal to break down bulky ground-types, for you still need a mon to break Mega Venusaur). I went with three attacks + Roost because you have the appropriate tools to pressure Fairies and Ferrothorn to not need Iron Head or Hidden Power Fire, and Kyurem-B tends to like having recovery around due to it being prone to getting worn down.

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 236 Spe
Mild Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Fusion Bolt
- Roost

Aside from that, there isn't anything wrong with the team. Just watch out for rain, because that can be annoying. Good luck!
