Hey guys, I am sort of new both here and showdown and this is my first time posting a team on these servers. I wish to rate my team and ask for where and how exactly to improve.
First off, Metagross.
Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability - Clear Body (Non-mega) / Tough Claws (Mega)
Moves : Rock Polish - Meteor Mash - Zen Headbutt - Hammer Arm
EVs - 252 Atk / 76 Def / 180 Spe
Nature - Adamant
Now here is the main sweeper of the team. I gave it Rock Polish to improve its already good speed and almost unmatched in speed in the metagame. Meteor Mash and Zen Headbutt are STABs and Hammer Arm to deal with Dark and other Steel types. I gave it 252 in atk to boost its physical prowess along with some 76 def bulk and 180 Spe (with Rock Polish its very fast). Sometimes I choose Jolly over Adamant.
Second, Land-T
Landorus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability - Intimidate
Moveset - Earthquake, Stone Edge, Stealth Rock, Knock Off
EVs - 252 Atk / 172 Def / 84 Spe
Nature - Jolly
Now comes the djinni. Landorus-Therian is a bulky mon. Intimidate + Def Spread gives it good bulk but Ice Beam still hurts like hell (I have coverage for that from 2 other mons). Earthquake and Stone Edge are obviously to damage the enemy severely and with Life Orb, attack is boosted. Knock Off is there to ensure the enemy isn't running on a choice set which can be deadly to my team. I decided to give it 84 in Spe to ensure Stealth Rocks are quickly set up to deal with the likes of Charizard and Talonflame and other bulky mons.
Third, my Bisharp (Bishop :D).
Bisharp @ Air Balloon
Ability - Defiant
Moveset - Swords Dance - Sucker Punch - Iron Head - Poison Jab
EVs - Hp 44 / Atk 252 / Def 104 / Spe 108
Nature - Jolly
Defiant / Air Balloon are useful if I'm predicting an Intimidate / Earthquake. Swords Dance and Sucker Punch are mandatory to sweep teams. Iron Head and Poison Jab are there to deal with Ice / Fairy types which can harm half of my team. I gave it boosts in Speed and Attack to deal with faster mons that deal a threat but also some bulk so that it generally isn't knocked out immediately.
Fourth, an electric lion with purple-ish poop on it's back.
Raikou @ Choice Scarf
Ability - Pressure
Moveset - Extrasensory, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, HP Ice
Nature - Timid
EVs - 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Choice Scarf is there for the extra speed however Volt Switch is there if I am expecting a switch from the enemy and also for the extra damage. Extrasensory is there to deal with Venusaur and also fighting types that lay a dent on Bisharp. Thunderbolt is there for a powerful STAb and HP Ice to deal with threats like Landorus-T and Thundurus.
Now for another Djinni, Hoopa-U.
Hoopa-Unbound @ Leftovers
Ability - Magician (useless in this case since Leftovers is there)
Moveset - Sub, Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Hyperspace Hole
Nature - Timid
EVs - 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Now I do realize that Hoopa-U is sort of a slow pokemon but I generally reserve this guy for late game if it doesn't outspeeds. Sub + nasty plot is a deadly tactic and combine it with Hoopa's high Sp.Atk, I managed to 6OHKO a team once. Leftovers restore hp lost due to Sub.
Lastly, Latias.
Latias @ White Herb
Ability - Levitate
Moveset - Defog, Draco Meteor, Healing Wish, Recover
Nature - Calm
EVs - HP 248 / SpDef 8 / Spe 252
Draco Meteor is there if Lati falls into a taunt and white herb to restore its stats. Defog is generally to remove entry hazards and recover can stall time and PP. Healing Wish is there to sacrifice Lati if it is low on health and also to restore my hard-hitters.
I am sort of new to the competitive scene so I do realize this team is certainly not the best. Any opinions and ratings are welcome. Please feel free to criticise :).
