ORAS OU Mega Metagross/Sub CM Keldeo BO

Hi everyone! First of all, I apologize for my bad english, it's not my language but i'll do my best.
Anyway, I wanted to use Megagross and I found here on smogon a pretty cool core with sub Keldeo. They're able to beat each other's checks and counters and this Keldeo set is awesome against stall, which isn't that great of a matchup for megagross.

Here's a preview of the team:

And now the sets in detail:

metagross-mega.gif

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Zen Headbutt
- Meteor Mash
- Hammer Arm
- Thunder Punch

Megagross is an awesome mon, blessed with nearly perfect stats. He has a sky high attack, also boosted by tough claws, awesome defences and a great coverage. I chose this set because I need Zen Headbutt in order to beat mega venu and amoongus, wich are very problematic for the team, and T-Punch for Starmie and Slowbro. Sometimes I really wish to have Ice Punch, but I think that this is the best set for this particular team.

keldeo-resolute.gif

Keldeo-Resolute @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Secret Sword

This set is SO underrated, I almost never see it. It surely lacks the immediate firepower or the speed of the specs/scarf sets, but the combination of substitute and calm mind makes keldeo a giant threat for slower teams. Without him my stall matchup would be tragic.

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake

Another underrated set. This chomp lures in mons that wall megagross (lando, rotom, tang, sometimes even ferrothorn) and hits them with an unexpected special attack. Sometimes I'm able to get the surprise kill even on stuff like Kyu-b because people always think that this is tankchomp.

rotom-w.gif

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

This thing is one of the best mons in OU, period. I chose him because at this point the team needed some kind of a defensive backbone, a check for some phisical attackers like lopunny and scizor and also some volturn is always nice.

landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Knock Off

Scarf lando is here because it gives some speed control to the team, and also check drill and completes the volturn core with rotom. There isn't much to say about him, this is a very standard set and after all lando is the most used mon in ou for a reason.

latias.gif

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Healing Wish
- Defog

I chose latias as the last member of the team because at this point i was quite weak to some electric types, i didn't have any hazard control and i wanted a keldeo check. Latias over latios because of healing wish, which is very useful for megagross.

I think that this team is pretty good, and right now i have 1800 points on the ladder. Anyway, there are some dangerous threats:

volcarona.gif
The full offensive set OHKOes the whole team after a quiver dance. My only hope is outspeeding with lando.

slowbro.gif
Slowbro, even more so when mega, is very difficult to beat. I'd really like to have toxic somewhere on the team

In general, only megagross can switch into powerful special attackers.

That's all i think. Again, sorry for the bad english and feel free to change everything bar megagross, keldeo and maybe chomp.
Thanks for reading this!

Sup bro cool team one thing I noticed was the weakness to drill and Zard X you can fix that making Lando to SR with helmet (or yache to lure in Mega Man) that also fixes the weakness too scarf drill, mega lop. The team doesn't really have speed control so you can replace chomp for thundy I with t wave

Scarf lando-->yache Berry/helmet SR Lando
Chomp-->Thundy I w/Twave

Hi. Nice team you have got.

Upon looking at your team, here are some threats I noticed:
  • Fighting Megas - your team tends to struggle against MLop and MMedicham as you have no way to punish them (Garchomp gets KO'd easily by them) and hence, with careful playing, they can prove to be a huge nuisance throughout the game
  • DarkSpam/Darks - Keldeo can be easily overwhelmed and you don't really have any other countermeasure
  • Clefable - really annoying in general and you would hate switching MMetagross in in fear of getting crippled
  • Keldeo - since Latias doesn't have recovery, it can prove to be a huge threat lategame
Here are some suggestions to remedy them:

Although I really liked the idea of you using ChainChomp to weaken MMetagross' threats, it seems a little too much like a "suicide lead", not providing much defensive utility for your team. It isn't extremely powerful either, so it's rather lacking in terms of usefulness. Clef, on the other hand, eases your team against many hits. Instead of switching MMetagross into a Draco, it might be better to switch Clef in instead. Another thing Clef can switch into is Electric types, since VoltTurning can easily wear down Latias, your main switch-in, which paves the path for opposing Keldeo. In addition, Clef can serve as a Status Absorber, switching in on predicted Status moves like Will-o-Wisp and Toxic. With Calm Mind, it can act as your secondary win-con, getting a sweep if Keldeo is denied. It performs well versus Stall too, which is a nice bonus. I chose to run the PhysDef set so as to deal with Physical Fighting Megas, Weavile and Psyshock Latios better, all of which do annoy your team. I put Rocks on this since I intend to keep Lando-T Scarfed. If you do not like Calm Mind, you could consider Knock Off, Thunder Wave, or even Toxic.

Pursuit > Hammer Arm; Ice Punch > Thunder Punch
Your team, especially Keldeo, really benefits from Pursuit support as Psychics tend to be a pain in the neck for your team. You don't really need Hammer Arm anyway, since you have plenty of switch-ins for its intended targets such as Keldeo and Lando-T for Heatran and Rotom-W for Ferrothorn (cripple it with burn). I really thought you should run Ice Punch as hitting Lando-T and Gliscor is so useful for your team since they annoy the majority of your team. Thunder Punch would be useful but it doesn't 2HKO Slowbro anyway and that sucks.

latias.png
Psyshock > HP Fire; Recover > Defog
Psyshock is important on Latias to threaten Keldeo, which otherwise has an easier time against your team. It is also a form of spammable STAB so you don't have to click Draco and turn passive everytime you want to deal some damage. I chose to run Recover > Defog as your team isn't weak to entry hazards at all and Recover is crucial to ensure longevity against Water types like Keldeo and Volcanion.

rotom-wash.png
EVs: 248 HP / 132 Def / 128 Spe, Bold Nature
The Speed EVs ensure that you outspeed Adamant Bisharp so that you can hit it with a Wisp before it starts running down your team at +2.

landorus-therian.png
[optional] Explosion > Knock Off
If you really keep finding yourself losing to Slowbro, Explosion is a way to deal some last ditch damage.

Note: Don't forget your EVs!

Here are the sets:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast
- Calm Mind / Thunder Wave / Knock Off / Toxic

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Zen Headbutt
- Meteor Mash
- Pursuit
- Ice Punch

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
- Recover

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 132 Def / 128 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Explosion
That's it for my rate. Hope I helped, thanks for reading and have a nice day!
