ORAS OU Mega Sableye Team!

Hello Smogon! This is my 8th RMT i believe. I could be wrong
Im looking for a rate 1-10 and then some sugestions on the team.
Lets Get Started!

Team Building Process.

I started with mega sableye because when using my other teams whenever I saw him i would always lose becuase it would destroy me and I thought his shiny looked so cool.

2.
Now I went with the deadly, amazing core of chansey+ mega sabeleye. Its really hard to beat. I put rocks on chansey and i was going to put toxic but i prefer semi toss because i already had status on sableye.

3. I relized my team was weak to fairy and I wanted a steel type and i wasnt sure but scarfed jirachi seemed really good with nice bulk and the flincheees. Ive always liked Jirachi and have never used him before so i tried him out and i was very impressed

4. Next needed a ground immunity so I tried landourous I wanted to try the scarfed version but I didnt want to have 2 scarfed pokemon so i went with double dance lando.

5. Next is Halucha who is a very underatted pokemon. I used him with the Sky attack set which is just an amazing set to me.

6. I wanted another ice resistants so i looked for a water type and i wanted keldeo but i didnt like his weakness to fairy so i changed to manaphy and he is just great!

Grimlin (Sableye-Mega) (F) @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball

I love mega sableye and he is a great pokemon! I run max defense so i can stack those calm minds. I have prankster as the ability before for obvious reasons. In my opinion I dont think anyone should run dark pulse over shadow ball for many reason. Dark pulse is resisted by fairy which is his main switch in. Shadow ball also had a better secondary effect and there are not many good normal types in OU. Wil o wisp to cripple stuff and recover for recovery.

Pan Pan (Chansey) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Wish
- Stealth Rock
- Protect

Chansey is a very tanky pokemon. Im specially defensive. i run wish to pass it to other tam mates and i run rocks on chansey because i dont think i could fir it on any of my other team mates and protect to recive the wish much eaiser. semi toss is better than toxic in this instance because i already have the burn on sableye.

Flinchees (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn
- Fire Punch

Jirachi is so awesome! I run max speed and max attack to hit as hard as possible. Jolly to outspeed lots of stuff at plus 1. Iron head for those flincheees and stab. Zen headbut is good stab and flinchees too. U turn to keep lots of momentum going. Fire punch is for coverage becuase steel types would straight out wall me if i didnt happen.

Tiger (Landorus-Therian) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 56 HP / 220 Atk / 232 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Im finally trying double dance lando and he is better than i thought. I run the standard EVs from smogon.com. Rock polish is to outspeed everything and swords dance to boost my attack to insane levels. Earthquake for some powerful stab that not many things can take. Stone edge to hit those pesky flying types! leftovers because landourous will be taking some damage and thats the best recovery he gets.

Acrobatic (Hawlucha) (F) @ Power Herb
Ability: Unburden
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Sky Attack
- High Jump Kick
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics

This is halucha who can hit things really hard. i run sky atack plus a power herb for instant powerful sky attack. the EVs are pretty standard. High Jump kick for powerful stab which im considering changing to drain punch for that recovery. acrobatics is flying stab after sky attack is used. swords dance to get my attack super high.

Cutie Pie (Manaphy) @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tail Glow
- Scald
- Energy Ball
- Ice Beam

Everybody who knows pokemon knows that manaphy is not a thing they want to fight with. I run a pretty basic set. tail glow plus 3 attacks. the EVs are set to maximise my special attack and speed with timid so I outspeed other non boosting speed natutre 100s and speed tie with the ones that do. leftovers gives me some nice recovery and thats about it.

Thanks FOR READING AND ALL ADVICE IS APRICIATED.

Hello dude,

this is kind of a weird team, as it doesn't have a clear aim to accomplish. You combine both very offensive and very defensive Pokemon, and the result is not a balanced team, but a mixture of diverse Pokemon whose goals don't combine to make you win. This is very bad and makes you very weak to a lot of common threats, such as Keldeo and Metagross. That being said, and as you built a Sableye team, I'll try to give priority to it when making my changes. Sableye buildings tend to be very defensive, so we'll keep that in mind when adapting the team to him. Let's start!

- You said you wanted a Steel type and a Ground immunity, so we'll combine both in one of the best (if not the best) answer to both of those types in ORAS: Skarmory, which wil replace Jirachi. This is very important as it forms the SkarmBliss core with Chansey, it can defog away the hazards that may be set in your field and it can phaze away threats you don't want to see (aka DD Gyarados, Altaria, Dragonite and so on). We'll use the Physically defensive, Rocky Helmet set, which is the best at the moment in my opinion. I'll leave you its set below.

- Next, Hawlucha does little to nothing to this team, as it can't take any hit and its role is overlapped by Landorus-T's, so we'll change it for an Amoonguss, a mon that grants you a lot of resistances, Spore support, the ability to poison with Sludge Bomb, etc. This helps your water type weakness overall and it's a really nice pivot to have in a defensive team, so I recommend this to you 100%. The set will be down below as well.

After this replacements, it's time to go ahead and make some changes on your other Pokemon's sets:

- Sableye is fine, but we'll use a spread of 252 HP / 112 Def / 128 SpD / 16 Spe to take hits on both sides of the spectrum, and 16 Speed EVs to outpace other Sableyes/base 20s. The set will be down below again.

- Landorus needs to go defensive instead of Double Dance, as you're in desperate need of a pivot to tank Zard's hits. That being said, we'll use a spread of 248 HP / 172+ Def / 88 Speed with Stealth Rock, as it fits better in your team, and it also frees a moveslot in your Chansey. The speed EVs are meant to outpace adamant Bisharp, but you can go Max HP, Max Def if you wish.

- Manaphy can serve you as a 2nd win condition, so you can go with its CM, Rest, Rain Dance set, which uses a lot of bulk and serves as a CroCune. The spread is very simple (248 HP / 240+ Def / 16 Speed) and is again more suitable for the team you want to use.

- Finally, Chansey has to use a spread of 252+ Def / 252 SpDef / 4 Spe to optimize its bulk, and as you already have rocks in Landorus-T after the changes, feel free to use Heal Bell>Stealth Rock and Softboiled>Protect on it, as it'll be able to cure all the status your opponent may inflict you and ensure you're always healthy, not having to waste a turn on protect to get 50% of your HP back.

So that's all for the team, I know I've changed a lot of stuff but I hope these help you improve your Sableye team. Finally, I rate your team a 4/10 for the reasons stated above. I'm sure you'll be making better and better teams as you learn here in Smogon. See you around!
