VGC Mega Sallymence

Hi guys, this is my first RMT as such I've read the rules, however if I happened to have missed one or something is incorrect please let me know.
Since forever I've been building Mega Salamence teams, however there was never a team I was particularly fond of. Until I came across a team report which definitely caught my eye and is the basis for this team. http://nuggetbridge.com/reports/the-tree-thing-in-high-heels-a-spring-season-team-report/
(Just wanted to put it out there that I do use 4 out 6 Pokemon from aforementioned team)

Ninetales (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Drought
Level: 50
EVs: 68 HP / 4 Def / 248 SpA / 188 Spe
Modest Nature
- Overheat
- Heat Wave
- Solar Beam
- Hidden Power [Ground]

Ninetales, being my favorite Pokemon is main reason I fell in love with this team. She provides great support when paired with Shiftry. While Ninetales isn't the hardest hitting pokemon, sun boosted Overheat and Heat Waves do hurt. Solar Beam provides great coverage for water types and HP ground hits Heatran (though it's a terrible to move to be locked into). Choice scarf is a great item as it catches opponents off guard and is good for spamming Heat Waves. The 188 speed ev's allows Ninetales to out speed adamant scarf landorus with a decent chance to OHKO with Overheat. 30 IV's in SpA allowing for HP ground so 248 ev's is max.

Shiftry (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Chlorophyll
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Tailwind
- Fake Out
- Knock Off
- Leaf Blade

When led with Ninetales, Shiftry is incredibly good. Fast Fake Out for for free turn to either allow Ninetales to attack or switch. Leaf blade is STAB and has nice coverage. Knock off is a great move, especially when coming off STAB and removes items which may help disrupt the opponent. Tailwind is where Shiftry really shines, allowing Nidoqueen to come in, out speed and OHKO Pokemon such as Mega Salamence. What's great about Shiftry is that he is fully capable of operating successfully without Ninetales. (Decent Fake Out speed and Focus Sash to pretty much guarantee Tailwind) Other than that pretty basic 252/252/4 ev spread.

Sallymence (Salamence-Mega) (F) @ Salamencite
Ability: Aerilate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Protect
- Hyper Voice
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower

Salamence is easily my favorite mega because of the name Sallymence alone. boasting great speed and power. Unlike the original user of the team I decided to use special Mega Salamence because when brought, she's mainly in the back and Hyper Voice is great for cleaning up. Though physical mence is always in consideration due to being able to hit Heatran. Draco Meteor and Flamethrower provide good coverage for opposing Dragon and Steel types. Other than not hitting Heatran, Sallymence doesn't disappoint.

Thundurus @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Prankster
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 36 SpA / 68 SpD / 32 Spe
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Thundorus with sitrus berry helps add a little bulk to my team without disrupting what I wanted him to do in the first place which is to deal with water types. Taunt is for shutting down Trick Room (bar mental herb) or any other gimmick. Thunder Wave acts as a secondary option should I not be able to get Tailwind up and helps deal with Kangaskhan.

Nidoqueen @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Level: 50
EVs: 148 HP / 84 Def / 252 SpA / 20 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Protect
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
- Sludge Bomb

All credit is due towards Bennett Piercy with this one. Originally, This spot was Mamoswine for having powerful Ground and Ice coverage. Then I remembered Bennett and his Nidoqueen. Nidoqueen provided the powerful ground STAB I was looking for as well as great Ice coverage. The real icing on the cake is her primary typing of Poison which is much needed on the team for Fairy types who threaten Mega Salamence. She especially loves Tailwind support and she has the ability to survive 252+ Earthquake from Landorus-T and and OHKO with Ice Beam. Don't even get me started on Sheer Force/Life Orb.

Suicune @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 76 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
- Tailwind
- Snarl
- Ice Beam
- Scald

Suicune is another go to option for Tailwind set up should Shiftry have a difficult match up. Not surprisingly Suicune definitely has more staying power than Shiftry even without sitrus berry and can help support its teammates. Suicune also helps me rely less on Nidoqueen when dealing with Landorus-T and Heatran, 2 Pokemon that can give my team trouble.

Thanks for reading, any feedback would be appreciated!

A few things working against this team is that half your team is easy lando-t/bisharp bait and another is that you have no 'mons that are dedicated to supporting your team or being defensive in case you run into pokemon like lando-t/bisharp.

I'm not a fan of shiftry simply because there is no safe way to get tailwind up and living past the turn you use it. It may end up forcing you to blow up this whole team but I would honestly suggest replacing shiftry with suicune.

Um............. Nidoqueen with that spread "survives" about as well as a school of fish in a puddle of water.
252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 84 Def Nidoqueen: 152-182 (92.1 - 110.3%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO, any kind of damage to her, be it chip damage or just outright double focus will get her ko'd before you can hit back.
You forgot to add the HP investment to Nidoqueen, so here ya go: 252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 148 HP / 84 Def Nidoqueen: 152-182 (82.6 - 98.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (after spread damage, of course)

Thanks for the advice! However I replaced Terrakion with Suicune instead so I can choose which Tailwind user has a better match up against the opposing team and it's been doing well. Also, thanks for pointing that I had no supportive 'mon. I've switch Thundorus to Incarnite with Thunder Wave to help with speed control should I not be able to get the Tailwind off.
