This is my best oras ou team I have made so far. The main idea of this team is to bring in Mega Scizor, set up and SD and then proceed to wreck havoc on the enemies team. Without further ado onto the team:
Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Roost
Scizor is the premier physical sweeper and I brought it cause older teams of mine were weak against sylveon and mega metagross. Scizor can come in both of these mons fairly easily and set up with Swords dance and then sweep with bullet punch or go for the u-turn anticipating the switch when you cannot sweep after one SD. Roost is nice to give it longevity especially if stealth rocks are up. So the main idea of this team is to get everything with in range of 1 +2 bullet punch and that leads me to my next mon:
Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
Garchomp has proven very useful on this team and that is mainly due to the combination of rough skin+rocky helmet+stealth rocks. Generally I don't lead with this guy and will often bluff the scarf later on to get a free SR up. Fire blast is there to hit ferrothorn and scizor, earthquake for STAB power and Stone edge to complete the edgequake combo. Garchomp also pairs well with scizor as they cover each other main weaknesses rather well.
Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Shadow Ball
Raikou is the next addition to my team as I had a noticeable weakness to rotom-wash and needed a check to it. volt switch opens up switching for the entire team and gives me important momentum. Thunderbolt If I dont want to be forced to switch, hp ice because of how many threats have a major ice weakness. Shadow ball was added to hit the latis or to get consistent neutral coverage. Raikous main role on this team is to just hit hard on the special spectrum and then gain momentum for scizor or my other setup sweeper:
Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Rash Nature
- Rock Polish
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Knock Off
So at the time that I am writing this thread landorus has become a major threat in ou. Rock polish lets me get to that next level of speed and then hit hard with 3 attacks. I take advantage of sheer force with life orb+sludge wave+earth power. I was considering adding hp ice/focus blast for more coverage but I seem to have been able to handle the things those would hit regardless. Knock off is here for chansey and also to take away the many users of leftovers in order for scizor to once again get more kills. No Leftovers means any damage I inflict will be permanent for the most part. For mons that do have a recovery move I will now present the next item to this team:
Talonflame @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
Stall breaker Talonflame has been the most crucial member of this team. Most people expect the SD set and taunt will help me prevent the opponent from setting up or recovering. roost to give me longevity as are leftovers and brave bird + flare blitz to hit hard and fast. Fairly simple strategy with this guy. Attack and get the opposing threats weakened down to what I need.
Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
the final member to this team is none other that spinner starmie. This is mainly to support my talonflame which needs a spinner to be able to function. Also because it is fairly crucial for rocks to be on the opponents side I figured that a rapid spinner would do better than a defogger. I chose analytic over natural cure because I dnt plan on switching this guy in too many times and would rather get the offensive power on my side. Hydro pump is their for STAB and a psychic type move is always helpful if I dont want to risk a miss. Thunderbolt is their for coverage on other water types.
Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
