XY OU Mega Scizor, Kyurem-B, Azurill

Hey everyone, i'm currently dipping my feet into Competitive Pokemon on Showndown, and after copying various teams by others i figured i'd make my own. I started with the premise that i wanted to run Mega Scizor, because i like the synergy between BP, SD, Roost and the bulky beast that is Scizor. I rounded the core out with Kyurem-B and Azurill because the resist fire and check many of the threats that Scizor faces. Then i added Latias for Defog/Utility, Ferrothorn for entry Hazards and Conkledurr because i wanted some fighting coverage. Anyways, on to the mons. Oh and one final note: You will notice that i copied many spreads from the strategy wiki, since i am not that familiar with the intricacies involved yet.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 84 Atk / 176 SpD
Impish Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Roost
- Swords Dance
Bulky attacker and theoretically the core of the team. It can set up on many dangerous physical attackers, but has a glaring weakness to fire that needs to be shored up. The rest of the core revolves around switching into fire threats and getting said threats off the board, so Scizor can set up and sweep.

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 32 SpA / 224 Spe
Naive Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Outrage
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam
The super best super friend to Scizor is a beastly STAB-Attacker. It usually switches into fire/electric attacks and can - assuming no Fairies remain on the opposing team sweep with STAB Outrage, which does ludicrous damage. Apart from that we run Fusion Bolt for Dragon-resistant mons and Ice Beam for Landorous-T. I am considering changing to switch out Dragon Claw, but not sure for what.

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
Azumarill usually comes in as the lead and does a number on a variety of lead mons(patricularly Keldeo, which i seem to encounter often as the opener). It tends to force if the opponent is weak to Water/Fairy and Knocks Off the Item of the switcher which is massive. It has great coverage through Play Rough and Knock Off and strong STAB and Priority in Waterfall and Aqua Jet. Additionally it is switch bait for Grass Attackers, which are wrecked by Scizor setting up on them.

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Healing Wish
- Psyshock
Latias is on support duty with Defog and Healing Wish. Draco can OHKO some opponents and Psyshock is a useful check to fighting mons which both Scizor and Ferro do not like. It can switch in on spome Special Attackers, but i try not to rely on that too much, as i am currently horribly unaware of potential sweeper sets.

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Protect
Ferrothorn is there for Stealth Rock and Leech Seed. It can ruin any fairies day as long as they do not pack Hidden Power Fire, which will usually 2HKO Ferro. However leading with Leech Seed can turn that into 3HKO and with the help of Protect you may get out Rocks as well. I'd rather switch out into something that resists fire though. I am considering switching Power Whip for Gyro Ball.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Mach Punch
- Stone Edge
This was added as Coverage in particular for Steel and a Check to Ferrothorn. However i really do not like it. I feel like it underperforms and does not provide as much value as the other team members.

A few notes on the team, from playing a few games:
1) This team is weak to Steel-Typing. I don't have EQ or any fire Attack and basically have to rely on Conkeldurr which has not served me that well. In particular i have almost lost a game to Choice Specs Magnezone, which went 3-1 before being KO'd by Double Outrage and Aqua Jet IIRC. I was lucky to have defeated the rest of his team before.

2) I feel like i need a decent Fire Coverage move. Not just due to Steel Typing, but in particular to wreck opposing Ferrothorns and Skarmorys.

3) I really want to switch out Conkeldurr. I like the whole drain punching a Ferrothorn while laughing maniaclly but a second Steel Poke can often Revenge Kill it and then i have to resort to STAB or non-effective moves.

Edit: Sample Replay of me loosing to Mega Medicham, probably on my own errors.
