XY OU Mega Scizor + the crew (peaked 1500 so far)

First off, I built this team on my own by using EV splits from smogon strategy dex (after reading why to use those splits ofc!), because I'm fairly new to building my own teams.

I'll just post the team and write something to each pokemon.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 138 Def / 108 SpD / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Foul Play
- Taunt

Mandibuzz replaced Skarmory after seeing my team has a weakness to pokemon knowing both a physical Fire and Fighting move. The split is used to live at least 2 Focus Blasts from Landorus-I and outspeed neutral natured max speed Azumarill and Mawile (source: smogon strategy dex). Standard defogger.

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power

I feel like this Heatran is the weak point of my team. Stealth Rock setter + bulky sweeper, but I'm not 100% satisfied with this. I'll stick to this until I find a better pokemon for that role.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 116 Def / 100 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Roost
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off

Scizor became my favourite Mega after starting to use it. Amazing bulk + SD to hit hard. Knock Off is one of the most useful moves this meta and Bullet Punch is kinda essential on Scizor. The EV split is from the strategy dex: "116 Defense EVs and 100 Special Defense EVs prevent Scizor from being 2HKOed by anything weaker than Adamant Landorus-T's Earthquake and Aegislash's Shadow Ball, respectively." With Aegislash gone I might consider moving some SpD-EVs to Atk to hit even harder.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Iron Head

The newest addition to my team. I felt like I need a fast, hard-hitting pokemon and I think that Terrakion fits the role pretty well.

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave/Toxic
- Soft-Boiled

My team's glue. This fucker switches in any special move without being hurt. Heals status from my team that is a bit vulnerable to burn. I run Thunder Wave over Toxic, but I'm still not sure which one is better.

Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Hidden Power [Grass]

Standard Greninja. Hits hard with STAB on everything, nuff said.

If you have any suggestions feel free to comment and let me know what to change on my team! :)

First I would recommend Clefable to replace Heatran, as it is not only bulkier, immune to other hazards and status, and knows stealth rock, but it also covers your ass against the likes of Conkeldurr and Mega Char - X.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
- Stealth Rock
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Hidden Power Ground / Softboiled

HP Ground handles both Fire and Steel types, although it is best to try to pick off steel types with your hard hitting pokes first, however after a couple CMs it's all over.

I would also recommend using Scald over Surf on Greninja for burn effects.
