Swampert-Mega @ Swampertite
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Flip Turn
- Ice Punch / Stealth Rock

Thanks to its ability to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame with Swift Swim and its Ground typing's important Electric immunity, Mega Swampert is an integral part of NatDex rain teams that can check threatening Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Raging Bolt, easily OHKOing both with Earthquake. Flip Turn lets Mega Swampert safely pivot its teammates into Pokemon like Rillaboom and Alomomola that would otherwise stop its momentum. Ice Punch covers Grass- and Dragon-types like Tangrowth, Serperior, and, most importantly, Dragonite that would otherwise take negligible damage from Mega Swampert's STAB moves, while Stealth Rock further compresses Mega Swampert's utility, as it has positive matchups against a number of entry hazard removers, like Great Tusk and Iron Treads. Because Mega Swampert relies on rain to enable its offensive capabilities, Pelipper is a required partner. Mega Swampert struggles against Grass-types, especially Ogerpon-W; teammates like Ferrothorn and Archaludon can switch into attacks from them, while Tornadus-T can offensively check them. Additionally, bulky Water-types like Alomomola and Tapu Fini can wall Mega Swampert, so teammates like Archaludon and Raging Bolt are helpful to remove them.

Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Flip Turn / Stealth Rock
- Stealth Rock / Ice Punch / Stealth Rock (I would recommend ice punch with higher priority than rocks due to popularity of dnite)

Thanks to the combination of Swift Swim allowing it to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame and its Ground typing providing an important Electric immunity, Mega Swampert is an integral part of National Dex rain teams that can check threatening Electric-types like Tapu Koko and Raging Bolt, easily OHKOing both with Earthquake. Flip Turn gives Mega Swampert utility as a pivot, letting it safely bring in its teammates against Pokemon like Rillaboom and Meowscarada Alomomola that would otherwise threaten it (meow isnt that common and it’s better to say ferro or some bulky waters stopping momentum). Stealth Rock can be run to further compress Mega Swampert's utility, as it has positive matchups against a number of entry hazard removers, like Great Tusk and Iron Treads, while Ice Punch provides extra coverage against Grass- and Dragon-types like Tangrowth, Serperior, and most importantly, Dragonite that would otherwise take negligible damage from Mega Swampert's STAB moves. (swap the order and put ipunch first then rock) Because Mega Swampert relies on rain to enable its offensive capabilities, Pelipper is a required partner. Mega Swampert struggles against Grass-types, and especially Ogerpon-W, so it benefits from teammates like Ferrothorn and Zapdos that can switch into attacks from them and threaten them back (i would suggest to say ferro and archa defensively handling waterpon and torn/rbolt offensively. zap actually struggles vs waterpon especially in rain and can’t outspeed). Additionally, bulky Water-types like Rotom-W Alomomola and Tapu Fini can wall Mega Swampert, so teammates like Archaludon and Raging Bolt are helpful to remove them. (you can also mention how archa/rbolt helps with common defensive tera dragons)

Ping me when you’re done :orthworm:

The paragraph is well-written, so I just tried to find ways to shorten it w/o changing the overall meaning of the sentences. Please let me know if there are any issues with the rewording.
