ORAS OU Mega Venusaur balanced sand team

I created a team around an a bit old core, being Tyranitar+magnezone+gengar, but after some team building, breaking my head to make the most coverage and synergy possible,it ended up becoming a very solid balanced sandstorm team,so yeah.

~~of course i wouldn't forget it~~

First,i choose this old ass core to make a nice ass team

Then,i added azu to help with the fighting and water weakness, and to help taking care of dark types

I needed something bulky to help with the ground types,so i added mega venu, who also resist fighting and the thick fat helps a lot too

after thinking a lot,i couldn't find a poke to occupy the last slot,so i added excadrill to take advantage of the sand and hit everything hard as hell.

~~WHO ATE MY HAM SANDWIIIIIIIICH~~

Erebor (Tyranitar) (M) @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Def / 180 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake/crunch

Erebor, the not-so-lonely montain,is usually my lead.He summons the 8 turns of sandstorm, set up rocks and pursuit trap things like the EON duo.Stone edge is my strong STAB move, and even with a bad Acc,it puts on work and have a high crit ratio. In the final slot, you can run crunch as secondary STAB or Earthquake for hit hard everything that resist rock, isn't in the air or resist ground.Pursuit to trap things and SR to make damage to the opposing team.

~~fuck you,magnet pull~~

PKSparkxx (Magnezone) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Discharge
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Magnezone is great on this team as a fast volt switcher(yeah, scarf power),without taking sand damage, and trapping dangerous steel types, like skarmory, scizor, ferrothorn (not heatran ;-;).Discharge as main STAB,instead of tbolt, because if i can't kill something,at least i can leave him with paralyzis.Flash Cannon as secondary STAB,hitting hard a lot of things neutrally, and finishing ground-types with low HP.Volt Switch for nice damage and momentum and hidden power fire to hko steel-types that can harm the team.

- Focus Blast
- Destiny Bond

The last member of the core, the smiling cat.Life orb gengar put in work with this team.Shadow ball for STAB,dealing nice damage to things that doesn't resist it,sludge bomb as secondary STAB,hitting a little bit harder thanks to 10 extra BP,and with the chance to poison the target and make chap damage helps together with the rocks and the sand.Focus blast to hit dark types and steel types like a truck, and destiny bond to take a poke down with you or just to scare things tha try to sucker punch you, using DB and then switching out.

~~OMG,IT'S A HAM SANDWICH~~

Trigger (Excadrill) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin

A sand team isn't a sand team without a sand rush excadrill.Since it's fast thanks to the sand,Life orb adamant is the best option.Earthquake as main STAB,hitting hard like a truck everything tha doesn't resist/is immune to it.Iron Head as secondary STAB,hitting hard like a truck²,Rock Slide for nice coverage and dealing lots of damage to flying-types(except lando, gliscor, etc.),and rapid spin for getting rid of hazards on your field.

~~hold this solarbeam roaaaaa~~

Viridian (Venusaur-Mega) (M) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Leech Seed

And,last but not least, the mega of this team.Mega venusaur is a incredible tank, and hits hard and can stall nicely some opposing pokes.Giga Drain as main STAB,getting nice damage and recovering HP,Sludge Bomb as secondary STAB,hitting harder and giving poison to help with some stall.Hidde Power Fire to handle steel-types if you think magnezone can't handle all,but you can use synthesis istead (but wait the sand go off, because the sand make synthesis kinda weak),and leech seed to stall opposing pokes together with the sand and the rocks, and help to recover HP of any poke on your team if you switch out and the opponent don't.

Well, that's it for today. If you have some suggestion of making this team even better, feel free to say it.And that's all, folks.

Hey man, really cool and interesting team you got going! I'm really fucking tired at the moment, but I saw a few little changes I wanted to recommend, before I pass out and smash my head into my laptop. With this being said, lets get into it (before I really do end up headbutting my laptop)!

Firstly, Thunderbolt > Discharge, you should always run the move with more power if they have the same accuracy, as your looking to actually kill the opposing Pokemon and not miss out by a few Hp because you lacked that extra power or hope for some para hax, which in turn really doesn't benefit a scarf Pokemon all that much. Discharge might make more sense on a Specs variant where your already dealing insane amounts of damage and a para hax to slow the opponent down would actually benefit you. This isn't the case with Choice Scarf variants however, as they lack that extra power already in which they really need and there already faster than a majority of the un-boosted meta that would be willing to switch in on a stab Electric move, meaning that the para hax means fuck all to it.

Secondly, I'm going to recommend Taunt > Destiny Bond, as your team has a hard time dealing with stall and just fat stuff in general, as you have no really wall and stall breakers baring Azumarill, which is Belly Drum and something you want to preserve as a win condition in most match ups your situated. This also helps prevent rocks being set up by things like Chansey, thinking it can just ignore you, as it can eat any hit. Also stops status being spread onto you and stops Pokemon from using you as set up fodder (if there are any Pokemon in the tier that can use this monster as set up fodder lol).

Finally, Synthesis > Leech Seed, I know you are using sand and that limits the amount of recovery gained, but considering this is your main Keldeo switch in which is easily burnt by scald and is grounded taking all forms of hazard damage (barring T-Spikes), you really need that reliable recovery you can gain on things like Keldeo and Azumarill switch out. Not having this reliable recovery, leaves you open for a lot of common threats to run through your team and the fact is that sand isn't going to be up the whole game, as T-Tar is only going to be used to set up rocks, trap lati@s (and things a like) and when the late game sweep is on for Excadrill it can set up sand. So this is proof that there aren't going to be to many times that sand will be up and knowing that T-Tar + Synthesis Venusaur can work through one of my boy Invok3r squads (peaked 10 on reg ladder with that core), this should work fine.

That's pretty much everything that my tried and dying brain can conjure to type write now, if I have any further Ideas for the team I'll be sure to come back and leave them here, but for now I need sleep. Hope you enjoyed my rate and we're able to get something out of it and I also wish for your success while playing with the team in the future!
