This is my ORAS team. I havent't played much Pokemon competitively since BW2 but recently got back into it. This team has been pretty successful but definitely has some weaknesses. Hopefully you guys can help me make it better. So here it is:
Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Synthesis
I wanted to use Mega Venusaur as it is a very bulky Pokemon and has very few weaknesses. I decided to use sort of a bulky attacker set and invested EVs in HP and Sp Atk. The moves are pretty standard. Giga Drain hits hard with Sp Atk investment and allows for some recovery. Sludge Bomb hits hard, especially those Fairy types. HP Fire allows Venusaur to hit steel types like Ferrothorn, Bisharp, and Scizor. Finally Synthesis is just for recovery. I try to keep Venusaur healthy throughout the game to make sure that it can switch in and tank hits.
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
Next comes Heatran. It takea care of Venusaur's Flying and Psychic weakness. I ran a Specially defensive set. Lava Plume is Heatran's attacking moves. Next is Will-O-Wisp. I iused it instead of Toxic because my team doesn't have many checks for physical attacks aside from Landorous T. Heatran is my team's Stealth Rocker. I use Roar to prevent some setup Pokes, like Calm Mind Clefable. It also Roars out Substitute users. I can use Roar on predicted switch-ins for extra Stealth Rock damage.
Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 24 Def / 232 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
Scarf Landorous T has become really popular. Intimidate allows it to check some physical threats. The moves are standard. Earthquake is STAB. U turn alonside Choice Scarf is very useful for scouting. I use Knock Off on pretty much anything that wants to switch into Landorous. Stone Edge is for coverage.
Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Defog
Life Orb Latios is very powerfull. This is a standard Life Orb set. Draco Meteor hits hard and makes dents in teams. Psyshock also hits hard and allows Latios to 2HKO or 3HKO Fairy types that think they can switch in on Draco Meteor. HP Fire beats Steel types and Defog is for getting rid of Rocks.
Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 164 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower
- Play Rough
Choice Band Azumarill also dents teams with Play Rough and Waterfall. Aqua Jet is for priority and Superpower is for coverage. Aqua Jet has also been use for clean up late game. The speed EVs allow Skarmory to outspeed some Pokes like 0 speed Skarmory and the HP EVs are for some bulk.
Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Roost
Lastly I have Life Orb Scizor. It has Max HP and Atk. Bullet Punch is for Priority and U turn is for scouting. Knock Off gets rid of annoying items. Roost keeps Scizor healthy and heals it form Rocks and Life Orb damage. I've tried differnet things in this final slot but I am unsure. I feel like this is the weakest and least useful member of the team though.
This team does decemt but has some flaws. Landorous T can be a problem as my only real counter is my own Landorous. It usually gets its Acarf knocked off though. Venusaur doesn't take its Earthquakes well. Gengars are also a problem. My team doesn't have anything to resist Shadow Balls. Mega Medichans and Mega Gallades are also very threatening with Psychic and Fighting STABs. Mamoswines are also dangerous. Well this is my team. Feel free to criticize and make changes.
