Hey everyone, this is my first RMT in a really long time. This is (in my opinion) the best team I've created since ORAS, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I've climbed to low 1600s with it, which is the best rank I've had since ORAS came out. (Peaking at 1700 in XY pre-Aegi ban). Anyway, without further ado, here's the team:
Evil Twin (Ditto) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
- Transform
- Transform
- Transform
- Transform
This was the first Pokemon I put on the team because I'd never used a Ditto before, and I thought it'd be a fun revenge killer to try out. Choice Scarf ensures that it's faster than anything non-Scarfed that it switches in on. It's an excellent revenge killer. IVs are so that it has Hidden Power Ice which I find is very common. May change it to Hidden Power Fire for Magnezone.
Cold Bacon (Mamoswine) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
Next came Mamoswine because I wanted an SR setter that wasn't Garchomp or Heatran (Which I'm getting really sick of). Sash ensures SR is set up or ensures an EQ/Icicle Crash + Ice Shard. EVs are pretty straightforward.
Lizardon (Charizard-Mega-X) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 248 HP / 120 Atk / 140 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
Next I thought hmmmm what benefits from Mamoswine being on the team? Zard X was the answer. Zard X's sweep is stopped by Heatran, Thundurus (Prankster T-wave), and Lando-T, all of which are threatened severely by Mamoswine. It also complements Mamoswine by covering its weakness to grass. Additionally, this Zard set does extremely well against Rotom-W which also threatens Mamo. Zard takes a maximum of 46.7% from Rotom, so unless you get really unlucky, Zard can set up in its face. The speed EVs are to outspeed M-Lopunny at +1. Almost max HP to maximise bulk, and the rest dumped into Attack. Dragon Claw > Outrage because I don't fancy being locked into Outrage, and Flare Blitz > Fire Punch because of higher power and because with the HP EVs, Zard doesn't mind the recoil as much.
Pikablu (Azumarill) @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
I needed something that resisted Dragon and Fighting (for Zard and Mamo respectively) and Azu's typing synergizes with the other two extremely well. It's insanely strong and can smash through walls like Unaware Clefable (which threatens Zard with Thunder Wave). Superpower > Knock off because I like surprising Ferrothorns that wanna switch in. While I could switch to Zard, the recoil + Iron Barbs + (possible) Rocky Helmet damage would be too much of a pain to deal with. Other moves are fairly straightforward.
(Sc)Rotom (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
I needed a birdspam counter, and this does a pretty good job of it. Synergizes pretty well with the rest of the team and providing the ground immunity to cover Zard's weakness is great.
Edward (Scizor) @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
Last but not least, is Scizor. I needed a Defogger to keep Zard safe from Stealth Rocks, as well as keep Mamo's sash intact. Switches into Scarf Latios (Zard check) really well, and uses its Steel typing to provide a vast array of resistances to the team. Slow U-turn is helpful to give Mamo, Zard or Ditto a free switch in which is pretty good for them.
Well, thats the team! Please tell me what you think and if there's anything I need to improve.

Evil Twin (Ditto) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def
