Mega Zard Y Team

Hi. I just started playing competitive pokemon. I have been a lurker here for a few months, but never replied to much of anything. For some reason, the teams I make never wins, but this is the best team I made so far.

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 SpAtk / 4 SpDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Solar Beam
- Flamethrower
- Focus Blast
- Roost

Charizard is the main mega pokemon I chose to base my team off of. With drought I can setup the sun, and let's me get off the Solarbeam. I have Flamethrower for the STAB move, with the boost from the sun. Flamethrower over Fire Blast because I was sick, and tired of missing it when I need it to hit, and hitting it when I don't need it hit. Roost as a way to recover HP, Solar Beam, and Focus Blast for more coverage. Modest nature because if I had Timid, then I wouldn't be able to kill some things I would like to. I have never really seen a need where I greatly need to out speed something.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Def / 216 SpDef
Careful Nature
- Foul Play
- Knock Off
- Defog
- Roost

Since Charizard is extremely weak to Stealth Rocks, I decided to use Mandibuzz as a Defoger. It's specially defensive over physically defensive because I found special to be more useful then physical. I can somewhat counter many of my teams weaknesses, like Gengar, and other special attackers. Knock Off just to be annoying, and Roost to get some HP back. Though I might change the EV spread a bit, and maybe replace it with a different defoger, because Mandibuzz is also weak to Stealth Rocks.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpAtk / 4 SpDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power Grass

I am using Heatran because I wanted to. I have never used it before, and wanted to try it out. He has been working for me so far. It surprises people that I have a Choice Scarf, and I can out speed somethings that are threats to my team. Heatran is also pretty bulky, so it can sweep, and last a long time before it goes out. Fire Blast, and Flash Cannon for STAB, HP Grass, and Earth Power for coverage. I might change HP Grass to something else.

Thundurus-I @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Nasty Plot
- Thunder Wave

I realized that my team is really weak to water types, even with sun. So I chose Thundy-I to check water types, and sometimes even counter them. Also, since my team is kind-off slow, I have Thunder Wave to hax other people, and slow them down a lot. I used to have Thundy-T because of its power, so when switching over to Thundy-I, it wasn't as strong as I would like it to be. Thats why I put Nasty Plot.

Landorus-T @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-Turn
- Stealth Rocks

At this point, I realized that my team was weak to Talonflame. I may have Heatran, but he has no way of killing Talonflame. Lando-T is here to somewhat counter some pokemon that would be very threatening to my team. Like Dragonite, Garchomp, and Mega Charizard X. I have Intimidate to help improve it's defending capabilities. Stealth Rocks for that damage everytime a pokemon switches. The 16 Atk is just some boosted power to do a bit more damage to things.

Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- PLAY ROUGH

Looking at my team, I see that I am missing a physical attacker. I chose Azumarill because I needed some sort of priority, and is an amazing wall breaker, after getting all powered up with Belly Drum. With Belly Drum to get nice and powerful. Waterfall, and Play Rough for STAB. Jolly surprises people, and allows me to outspeed some things, like Umbreon, and Rotom-W. Usually this is getting two or three kills right off the bat. The one downside to this is that I am not doing as much damage as I would like to a few pokemon that are a problem to my team. I am thinking of switching to Adamant.

So that's my team.
Sorry, my explanations are a bit bad.
Also here is one question: How do you make Showdown look like this?

I saw it in BlameTruth's videos.

And yeah, considering Thundurus is OU now, switching to that instead of Thundurus-T is probably a better idea. I'd reccomend running a set with Thunder Wave + Nasty Plot, because Prankster can easilly help you shut down Water types with the TwaveS (minus Lanturn)

Fire Blast should be run over Flamethrower. While it doesn't miss, Fire Blast has a great boost in sun, which your team somewhat benefits from.

And yeah, change HP Grass to HP Ice. While getting rid of water types might be nice, Thundurus already does that well, so ground types are a better idea to get rid of.
