ORAS OU Megabro's unconscious rampage ['cause he is sturdy]

Hello world :)
I'm really happy to see you again, after a 2 years inactivity on Showdown/PO !
Pokemon has changed alot since 4th Gen, so I have alot of new things to improve with.
I'm building a team around Mega-Slowbro CM, because I think he has alot of potential (and imo, will be thrown into uber tier), so I looked for the threats for Megabro and tried to counter them with the rest of my team.
I'm quite proud of the team eventually, but, I'm pretty sure I miss some things about the metagame, or the threats, due to my inactivity.
So I prefer ask you for help/advices about this :3

EDIT DECEMBER 11TH : After many changes, here is the new team ! (the old one is at the end of the post):
terrakion.jpg

Terrakion @ Life Orb
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Iron Head

I choose this one because I needed to kill many stallers that annoy Megabro. He is my wallbreaker actually. Close Combat against Ferrothorn/Chansey, Earthquake against Venusaur, Tentacruel, and Iron Head against Clefable and Gardevoir.
rotom-wash.jpg

Rotom-Wash (Rotom-W) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

He is my real pivot. Rotom-W soak the damage, spread burn, scout with Volt Switch and even kills Heatran on a switch. I needed this pivot because my team is quite offensive so I cant just switch and lose 70% of my health for free.
250px-706Goodra.png

Goodra (M) @ Assault Vest
Trait: Sap Sipper
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SAtk / 16 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Muddy Water

Often being recommanded to me, so I gave him a try, and he fits well. I needed a Special Wall resisting Grass and Electric. He can even deal a nice damage ! I know some prefer Earthquake on him, but I choose Muddy Water over this, for SubTalonFlame. Fireblast says "Hey, Ferrothorn, do you like your Pokeball ? Go back to it now !" *cry*
images

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
IVs: 30 HP / 30 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Dark Pulse
- Ancient Power

Here is the scarfer ! Many sweepers were giving a hard time to Slowbro, so I needed a mon able to beat them all. I choose ScarfTran because he got the movepool and power to do this. Overheat for Sceptile, Scizor, Beedrill and Bisharp. HP Grass for Greninja and Keldeo. Dark Pulse for Gengar and Chandelure, Ancient Power against Zapdos, Thundurus and Volcarona.
250px-036Clefable.png

Clefable (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell

This team being quite offensive, I needed a wished/aromatherapist. Thats why I choose Clefable. He resists both Fight and Dragon, 2 of the best offensive types, it is excellent. Moonblast as a stab, and Protect in order to proc Wish or scout the enemy bander/scarfer/Specs move.
mega-slowbro-5.jpg

Slowbro (M) @ Slowbronite
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Scald

Call him Master. MegaBro does tank alot of physical hits, and he is unstoppable when the threats are down, because he can rely on Rest and clear status. Scald may even spread burn in the enemy team. Terrifying when properly used.

THREATS : My team actually have problems against -->
[Still testing]
-Vaporeon
-Chandelure
-Infernape
-Coming soon.

Pokemon #1 : Tyranitar

Tyranitar@Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
I choose this Pokemon because I needed something to kill Gengar. He acts primarly as a Revenge Killer, and a trapper. His ability to create the surprise with the speed is nice in my opinion too. Pursuit for Gengar, Celebi, Latios, Crunch as a primary stab, Stone Edge too, and Earthquake against steel Pokemon, I have only Talonflame for them otherwise. EVs are trying to make him as fast as he can, but he still is outspeed by some pokemon (scarf Greninja...)

Pokemon #2 : Talonflame

Talonflame@Choice Band
Trait: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Tailwind

I choose this Pokemon because of its ability to deal a nice amount of damage to pretty anyone, or kill with spikes/SR/leech seed. He counters alot of Megabro's counters, such as Ferrothorn, Clefable, Greninja... Useful. Flare Blitz/Brave Bird as stabs, U-turn for scooting, Tailwind because of the power of the air (a). The EV maximises the damage of the bird.

Pokemon #3: Ferrothorn

Ferrothorn@ Shed Shell
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Spikes
I choose this one because he has a great defensive synergy with Slowbro ! He sets up entry hazards which help Talonflame and Slowbro sweep. He is actually a great wall ! I don't have any other reasons, he counters Gengar aswell with this Ev spread. Love him. He is my wall and spiker. Power Whip and Gyro Ball are stabs, Leech Seed and Spikes for the entry hazard, nothing exceptional, right ?

Pokemon # 4 : Gliscor

Gliscor@ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 192 SDef / 72 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Roost

I choose this one because the core stall with ferrothorn and slowbro is just excellent, even if i would prefer not use Slowbro that much before him to sweep the enemies away. Natural Talonflame counter, great sustain, he can wall Gengar pretty well I'd say. He is another staller/spiker/annoyer. Stealth Rock for Charizard/Talonflame, Knock Off for Chansey, Gengar, Earthquake for coverage, Roost for staying power.

Pokemon # 5 : Latias

Latias@Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish
I choose this one because I realised Breloom was a pain for my team, a real pain. Latias can resist both Fight/Grass, the only thing he cant do is resisting to Spore. But I needed RSpin/Defog too, so... Except Tropius, who else can do that ? Nobody ! That's why I ran Latias. She has a good damage output too, and Healing Wish allows me to "resurrect" one of my Pokemon. Psychock for Blissey/Chansey. Draco Meteor as a damage dealing ability.

Pokemon # 6 : Slowbro-Mega

Slowbro@Slowbronite
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Slack Off/Rest
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind

The Pokemon around which the team plays. He is the guy I wanna sweep with. I didn't put anything in defense because he has 180 BS Def, and can burn, so I prefered run into Sp.Atk. I just keep the Bold Nature which is, I think, enough for it. Scald as a stab and status, Psychock over others CM users (suicune...), CM as the boost, with 130 BS Sp.Atk, it deals alot. I choose Slack Off over Rest because of the placement niche Rest offers to the enemy, BUT i become weak to status. I don't really know what to choose.

Welcome back, Akihide!

I think you need a Heal bell / Aromatherapy. Togekiss is a good choice, as they can defog AND heal bell, but your team becomes way too stall. Starmie is a good choice too, as he can absorb status with natural cure and rapid spin, but his typing is too similar to slowbro as far as weaknesses are concerned.

Hi Friend :)

Just a few nitpicks here:

Move the 4 HP Ev's on Talonflame to Def; this'll make your HP odd and allow your Talonflame to come into rocks at the most twice (at 51% and 1%) rather than just once (at 50%).

I think most of the time you'd rather be concentrating on defogging rocks off the field and as a result, you'll sometimes waste the precious turns that you took in spiking against your opponents by defogging your own hazards. What I would recommend, then, is replace Spikes on Ferrothorn with Stealth Rock, then replace Stealth Rock on Gliscor for Taunt. Doing this change means you'll be more opt in removing hazards to help out for Talonflame and won't waste as many turns spiking (although I understand that spiking can help with important chip damage, your opposing team would probably want hazards to stay on the field to reduce Talonflame's effectiveness).

Taunt also helps out against stall teams, which you don't have a great answer to. Most stall teams are easily prepared for that iteration of M-slowbro since they can just Toxic it as the simplest and most available answer and won't mind waiting out against your damage.

I would also consider switching M-Slowbro's Ev's either to all physical defense or to special defense. The special attack ev's are nice, but they probably won't help in determining critical 2HKO's/OHKO's against pokemon that threaten Slowbro, at least with a calm mind set (for example, M-Slowbro will OHKO the standard CB Talonflame with Scald 87.5% of the time without any investment). Maybe against a Chansey it would, but meh.

I might consider doing a Cro-Bro set as well since it gives you a more endgame threat against Balance and Stall lacking answers since you can no longer be toxic'ed so easily. You also don't lose out on coverage since Latias has psyshock to hit important targets such as Keldeo.

This is also my preference, but I would switch out Earthquake for Superpower on Tyranitar. You already have ground coverage in Gliscor if you need to beat things specifically with Earthquake, and with Superpower, it gives Tyranitar a fighting chance at damaging Ferrothorn, Mega-Loppuny and Greninja on the switch (Ninjas do sometimes switch in, strangely), finishing off Keldeo better than Earthquake could, and it still takes out troublesome steels like Heatran. And believe it or not, Earthquake can't kill a Bisharp, which could pose a problem against a weakened version of your team.

252 Atk Tyranitar Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 224-264 (82.3 - 97%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Anyway, those are my two cents. Hope I helped :)

Hey there :)
Thanks for your help !
I understand what you all say, and I'll do the changes :).
I used to play CroBro, in the first version on the team, but meh, Chansey... I'll give it another try anyway, even more with the Superpower TTar.
And do you think Latias fits well ? I mean, Defog clears my SR too and moreover, she still is weak to Spore, Breloom cant really sweep with her, but she doesn't stop him too :/

If anybody wants to contribute, I'll be glad to read another piece of advice :D

Thanks all <3

Thanks all <3

I'm basing my suggestions solely on changing Latias for Breloom and not on optimizing the whole team, so if the changes you feel would hurt ur overall team, you can think of something else.

The easiest fix if u want to keep Latias is give it Safety Goggles. It's niche because it literally is used only for Spore (and I guess sand damage), but at least Latiad can fully stop Loom.

You could also swap out Latias for Mandibuzz, whose immune to spore via Overcoat and takes pitiful damage from all of Breloom's attacks (barring Focus Punch). Mandibuzz can also defog, so there's that.

Would reply more but Im on my phone and hate typing with it.

Hey !
Thanks for advices :)
I tested, tried again and again, it was better, but still, my team was actually kinda average.
So as I'm sick, I had the time, took a papershit, and made up a new team, still based on cleaning the ground for MegaBro.
I updated the first post, I'll take a close look at any advice :)
Ty my friends <3

Just added some counters.
I have troubles with stall team in general, by Clefable not running the good ability for it, and the lack of Defog !
Still interrested in you to rate it :D
Thanks, Poke-mates :)
