ORAS OU Megaero ft. Frens :] (Peak 1500)

Howdy frens C: This'll be my first RMT in a while. I decided to build this team after deciding to stop messing around on the ladder n_n Anyways, to the RMT!

In Depth

Key: Red = New Changes

142-mega.gif

Aerodactyl (Mega) @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpDef
Nature: Jolly

- Fire Fang
- Aerial Ace
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang

Ah, Mega Aero. I decided to use this mon because it's one of the mega's I have never built around and cause it's a good check to Weavile and Lopunny, mons I have lots of issues with in my previous teams. I chose Hone Claws to give it the potential to sweep. With Stone Edge, sure it's inaccurate but it hurts a lot with le STAB + Aero's pretty good attack. Aerial Ace is reliable STAB. Ice Fang + Fire Fang is nice coverage for tankchomp, lando, etc.
184.gif

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 156 HP / 252 ATK / 100 Spe
Nature: Adamant

- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Superpower

Azumarill. Not much to explain here, I mean: I put it on the team to clean up games or hit hard at the beginning to make it easier for Aero to sweep/clean. Waterfall + Play Rough = Incredibly Strong STAB Moves to hit hard and even harder w/ Choice Band. Aqua Jet for priority and to cleanup a bit easier, and Superpower to catch Ferro's off guard and for coverage. :P 100 SPeed EVs to outspeed base 60s, maxed out ATK evs to hit as hard as possible and put rest of EVs in HP.

251.gif

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Spe / 148 SpDef
Nature: Calm

- Swords Dance
- Seed Bomb
- Baton Pass
- Recover

I chose Celebi as my special wall as I decided to use Skarmory as my physical wall. Celebi is also the first half of my hazard stacking core. I then used Giga Drain + Recover to keep Celebi healthy in order to take on more hits. Then finally, U-Turn for momentum. Celebi is my special wall and my SD Baton Passer. With 108 Speed EVs, I can outspeed mons like Jolly Bisharp, Breloom, etc. Then, the rest of the EVs were put in SpDef and HP to tank hits. Recover to keep healthy, Seed Bomb so I don't get destroyed by Taunt.n_n

227.gif

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Nature: Impish

- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Defog

Skarmory is here to tank physical hits and setup Rocks mainly. I needed a steel type to take on fairies easier. 8 EVs in speed to outspeed BD Azu spread and anything below that speed. Then I just maxed out defense + HP. Iron Head for them fairies ;-; Spikes for the second part of the hazard stack core. Roost to recover + take on more hits. And Defog to get rid of opponent's hazards. C:

094.gif

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpDef
29 IVs in HP, 0 IVs in Atk
Nature: Timid

- Taunt
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast

Gengar is one of my favourite pokemon due to it's ability to break stall well and cause it can hit incredibly hard w/ good offensive typing + good SpA. Taunt to prevent T-Wave, Wish, etc. Shadow Ball + Sludge Wave = good STAB Moves to hit hard with. Focus Blast for coverage.

625.gif

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Nature: Adamant
29IVs in HP

- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head

Bisharp serves as my second wincon being able to easily cleanup games after 1 SD Boost. It also hits fairies well which is always good :3 Knock Off is standard in this meta cause items suck ^o^ Sucker Punch to clean up easier w/ Priority. Iron Head is good STAB, cause HP Steel is eh.

Whelp, this has been my RMT, please help improve my team frens, I wanna break past the 1500 mark! n_n Adios mon amigos C:

Threatlist:

Ferrothorn:
It's so hard to take out this thing, I have nothing that can 1 shot it, apart from CB Azu's Superpower :[ It also hits hard to most of my mons w/ Gyro Ball.

Megazard Y:

MegaZard Y just makes it so none of my mons can switch into anything. Aero doesn't exactly take a Sun boosted Fireblast very well and all the others either get 1shot or hit really hard w/ Charz and it's coverage moves.

Mixed Thundurus

Not many switch ins. Knock off kills Gengar + hits Celebi for a decent amount of damage. T-Bolt hits hard against most mons, Superpower/Focus Blast gets Bisharp. I usually play around this but if I get outplayed, I end up losing a mon.

Bisharp
Bisharp, given the chance to setup and sweep my team, if Skarm has been weakened. +2 Knock Off does like 70% or so to Skarm, and can p. much 1shot all the others. I usually just try to outkill him w/ my Bisharp or not let him setup w/ some of my mon's threatening moves.

Hello Namdachu.
This looks like a really cool team but there are a few problems that could be fixed to make this even better
Celebi should be running 252 HP 148 SpDef 108 Speed to outspeed jolly Bisharp and other max Speed base 70s
You should also be running 29 HP ivs on your Life Orb Pokemon (Bisharp and Gengar) since it will reduce the Life Orb recoil
Another option could be to use Swords Dance+Baton pass Celebi because Aerodactyl then has room for Fire Fang to hit Ferrothorn and Scizor
Some potential sets (Taken from The Good Cores Thread, Credit to Josh Morales for coming up with the core)

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 248 Atk / 44 Def / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Fire Fang
- Aqua Tail

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SpD
Impish Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Recover
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower/Knock Off

Hi Namdachu,

I have a few suggestions for you: first of all, Ferrothorn is an issue for your team considering that Mega Aerodactyl is easily OHKOed by Gyro Ball and can't deal with it even using a boosted Aerial Ace. Therefore, Superpower over Knock Off on Azumarill is almost an obvious change, but you can OHKO Ferrothorn on the switch in thanks to this move; however, be aware not to reveal Superpower in the battle, so don't use it if you aren't sure about Ferrothorn switching into Azumarill. Then, you should give Azumarill 100 Speed EVs to outspeed common 60 base Speed mons with a little investement, such as Clefable and Sylveon. You also have a good chance to hit before opposing Band Azumarill. You can even give more speed EVs if you feel it's necessary (you get all the info about OU Speed tiers here), but personally I wouldn't sacrifice the useful bulk.

Then, put Baton Pass over U-Turn on Celebi. Baton Pass has basically the same advantages as U-Turn, but it allows Celebi to avoid Pursuit trapping, and residual damage that might be dealt by the likes of Tankchomp, Ferrothorn, or other Pokemon holding Rocky Helmet.

Defog and Spikes on Skarmory are pointless because you would Defog away your own hazards and that would be counter-productive for your team; so I suggest you to replace Defog with Whirlwind. This move allows you to benefit from the entry hazards you have set up so far in the battle and helps you deal with setup sweepers, such as Scizor, since your team struggles with them. Be careful of Scizor or another setup sweeper being the last Pokemon in the opponent's team, as you can't phaze it with Whirlwind. Furthermore, if you want to prevent Scizor from destroying your whole team even being the last Pokemon, you can use Counter on Skarmory. This is a worse move than Whirlwind because you don't benefit from entry hazards, but it is a good option if you can't deal with setup sweepers properly.

Azumarill (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Superpower
- Waterfall
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet

Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 Spe
Impish Nature
- Iron Head
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 220 SpD / 36 Spe
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Baton Pass
- Giga Drain
- Recover

Finally, you may keep your Bisharp set, but I'll give you two nice options that can help you if you find difficult deal with Defoggers, especially with Latwins having Hidden Power Fire or Earthquake.

Bisharp (M) @ Assault Vest
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head

You can give Bisharp more bulk instead of Speed, but I always prefer this fast set.

Tyranitar (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

Anyways if you want, you can still use Swords Dance Baton Pass Celebi and Aerodactyl as a boost abooser:

Aerodactyl (F) @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Fire Fang
- Ice Fang

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 148 SpD / 108 Spe
Calm Nature
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
- Recover
- Seed Bomb
If you use this core, be sure to give Skarmory Stealth Rock instead of Spikes, since Stealth Rock support is a must.

Hope I helped, good luck with your team :)

Thanks for the rate, Tricking and serperioriscool n_n
I'll change the IVs in Gengar and Bisharp so that they'll take less Life Orb Recoil. I decided to use the variants of Aerodactyl and Celebi that you suggested and changed a bunch of EVs &moves for a bunch of pokemon, e.g Azumarill. I decided to get rid of the whole hazard stacking thing and just use Stealth Rocks + Defog on Skarm. Again, thanks for the rates frens, I'll try the improved team now n_n
