MegaSuicide RMT

I'm just looking for pointers and ideas. I'm new here so please rip my teams apart if need be. Here goes nothing.

I started with Greninja as I wanted my first team to be some generic bs. With the protean ability he gets universal stab along with a decent movepool so I figured I had my Special Sweeper with this. Nothing Special.

Greninja@Life Orb
Ability: Protean Nature: Timid
6hp/252Sp.A/252Speed
-Dark Pulse
-Ice Beam
-Scald
-Toxic Spikes

Next step was hazards. I tossed around dual screen prankster Klefki for a lead but dropped it for Galvantula as Sticky Web gave my frog the go ahead to sweep/clean

Galvantula@Focus Sash
CoumpoundEyes Timid
6hp/252Sp.A/252Speed
-Sticky Web
-Thunder
-Energy Ball
-BugBuzz

Now I knew Greninja was lacking in power but with sticky web I feared only priority and things that refuse the OHKO so my solution was Stealth Rock.

Mamoswine@Leftovers
ThickFat/Snow Cloak Adamant
252Atk/160Def/98Sp.D
-EarthQuake
-IceShard
-Stealth Rocks
-IcicleCrash/Hail

For the same reason I used these I figured I needed a spinner. Without putting much thought into it I just picked one and made it bulkier than I would on a full offense set.

Excadrill@Assault Vest
Mold Breaker Careful
252Atk/98Def/160Sp.Def
-Rapid Spin
-EarthQuake
-Metal Claw
-Rock Slide

Preferably having hazards on them none on me I needed something to get rid of whatever problematic sweepers I might encounter. I needed something to punish set-up sweepers who laugh at me otherwise. So my choice is exactly what they're using, only faster.

Ditto@Choice Scarf
Imposter Nature:N/A
252HP(anything else in pointless)
-Transform

The last thing I needed was something strong physically, preferably with priority, and some way to quarentee a knock out or cripple other threats. With this I have the teams Namesake.

Banette@Banetite
Frisk-> Prankster Adamant
252Hp/252Atk/6Speed
-Sucker Punch
-Shadow Sneak
-Will-O-Wisp
-Destiny Bond

I love using priority destiny bond to punish other sweepers, WoW to humilate anything physical and shadow sneak with sucker punch to round off full priority hitting hard.
Do your best, sorry theres so little to work with.

Hey there,

I only had a very quick look at this team, but there's a few things I'd like to point out: First of all, don't run Toxic Spikes on Greninja. Yes they're useful, but if the opponent has a poison-type Pokemon then you've essentially just wasted two turns; I suggest running Spikes instead.

Secondly, if you're going to run AV Excadrill, do not run Metal Claw. With no Life Orb boost, the 50 power isn't going to be doing too much, the 10% chance to raise attack doesn't make up for this, and the 95% accuracy can also be a bit of a pest. Run Iron Head instead. It's Excadrill's most powerful steel type move, with an okay 80 power. However, the 30% chance to flinch mixed with Excadrill's high speed makes up for this, and can be the difference between winning or losing a match. (However, you don't have any EVs in Speed).

In addition, I would suggest not running Mega-Banette. There's a reason it isn't even considered good enough for UU. The Prankster WoW and Destiny Bond is indeed very helpful, but because it doesn't get it's Prankster ability the first turn it megas, it can't switch into anything safely. It also doesn't have any powerful STAB Ghost-type moves. Try using a different spin-blocker (such as Aegislash).

Finally, I would suggest not having half your team designed to set up hazards and the like. It just wastes precious turns and takes much too long to set up. You could try running something like Forretress instead: It has access too all hazards bar Sticky Web (but, if you added some EVs intro Excadrill's speed, your team wouldn't need Sticky Web support anyway). It has very nice defenses, only 1 weakness, and a handy ability (Sturdy). This also gives room in your team to add Pokemon that can make use of items such as Choice Specs, Choice Band, Choice Scarf ect.

Thank you for reading, and I fully understand if you disagree with some of the things I said here. Hopefully you'll try out some of my suggestions!

Good luck with the team~

Thank you for the input. I fully agree onthe toxic spike switch out but would extrasensory work better? Id severely miss Banette and trading it for something that has more weaknesses (particularly fire) isn't too appealing but Aegislash is a monster. What if I switched the spinner for AV donphan or Starmie? (to alleviate the glaring fire weakness to which my answer is usually ditto) if I were to include Ferro and Aegi Fire would still hurt a bunch.

AV Donphan sounds like a viable option indeed. It can set up Stealth Rocks as well, so you can get rid of that Mamoswine and take away a fire weakness on your team. For the Greninja, you could try U-Turn, but feel free to try Extrasensory too.

Thank you for the suggestions. AV Donphan is prevented from Status moves like SR unfortunately. Ill move things around and figure it out. Once its improved ill prolly post in a couple weeks the revised team
