Hey guys!

Just a heads up I'm really new to smogon so this is probably shit.

But who cares? I'm just here to have some fun like what I hope you are here for too!

Team Building Process
I started with Megazard Y, my favourite mega. Most of the time it is an awesome sweeper-once my megazard Y single-handedly tore through an entire team without losing any HP. If you wanna see that, then check this out: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-159312744

I've always had good experience with Gliscor, and it's Hidden Ability Poison Heal is one of my favourites. Stick a Toxic Orb on it and it's better than leftovers, plus it can't be put to sleep, paralyzed or burned. It's also not bad as a physical sweeper.
6-mega-y.png
472.gif

Next, Ampharos. It's not used that much, but it's one of my favourite Electric types. It's speed is already terrible (Base 55, Mega Base 45) so to me there is no obvious downside to sticking an iron ball on it. It gets rid of its only weakness Ground, and its sp atk stat is pretty good. It also has plus as its ability, which works out with...

Klinklang is the next member of my team. It's not great, but I like it. Steel resists a lot of things and Klinklang has pretty great defensive stats. With Plus/Minus with Ampharos, both benefit and gain an extra 50% of Sp. Atk. The Air Balloon saves it from some ground attacks, and Lock-on isn't great but can ensure a Zap Cannon hit the following turn. Flash Cannon is a pretty good STAB attack, and signal beam gives a decent amount of coverage. I know his base Atk is higher than Sp. Atk, but he has access to a whole load more Sp. Atks and with Minus it is a lot better.

Salamence is always a solid choice with good stats and a large movepool. With a Life Orb it tears through opponents and-well, is there really much else to say? Salamence fits in really well with most team and I feel that he is a good choice.

Lastly, Cloyster. I didn't really choose him for much else than his massive defense and his HA, Skill Link-one of my favourites since I discovered it. The focus sash means that he can get at least one hit in as moves like focus blast or solarbeam mean trouble for him as his Sp. Def is not that great. It's terrible, actually. But with skill link its moves Icicle Spear and Rock Blast are essentially 125 base power which is awesome. Razor Shell provides some more STAB and Poison Jab provides coverage for fairies.

Team Revision
After Feedback I switched my team up a bit. I switched Ampharos for Raikou, Klinklang for Ferrothorn, and did some tinkering with the movesets. All the changes are below!

Team In-Depth
Charizard (Mega Y) w/ Charizardite Y
Drought
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid
- Focus Blast
- Air Slash-Replaced with Dragon Pulse
- Fire Blast
- SolarBeam

Gliscor w/ Toxic Orb
Poison Heal
184 HP / 252 Atk / 72 Spe
Adamant
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge-Replaced with Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Tail-Replaced with Roost

Ampharos w/ Iron Ball
Plus
252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest
- Focus Blast
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunder
- Power Gem
Replaced with:
Raikou w/ Assault Vest
Pressure
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Signal Beam
Raikou is a fast Electric type that with this moveset has pretty great coverage. Volt Switch can deal some damage and then switch out to something else that can take a hit. It's unlikely that you'll find something faster than it, which is great.

Klinklang w/ Air Balloon
Minus
252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest
- Flash Cannon
- Zap Cannon
- Lock-On
- Signal Beam
Replaced with:
Ferrothorn w/ Rocky Helmet
Iron Barbs
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD (IVs- 0 Spe)
Brave
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip
- Curse
- Spikes
Gyro Ball is gonna do MASSIVE damage. Seriously. This thing is SLOW. Power Whip is strong too, it can function as a Spikes Setter, and Aerial Ace has decent coverage. How the hell can this thing learn Aerial Ace? Pokemon, Y U NO make sense? But whatever- I'm using it.

Salamence w/ Life Orb
Intimidate
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly
- Dragon Rush-Replaced with Dragon Claw
- Aqua Tail-Replaced with Earthquake
- Iron Tail-Replaced with Fire Blast
- Aerial Ace-Replaced with Dragon Dance

Cloyster w/ Focus Sash
Skill Link
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant
- Rock Blast
- Icicle Spear
- Razor Shell
- Shell Smash

Threat List
I've had numerous problems with Greninja in the past, as it can outspeed everything on the team (except maybe a shell smashed Cloyster) and with protean you just don't know what to hit it with. If you're faster then you know what will be super effective, but if you're not then it can end up just being really annoying. (apart from possibly Zard, as it's probably gonna hit you with hydro pump/surf/generic special water type move so you can use solarbeam).

I haven't really discovered any other particular mon that messes up this team, but if you find one, be sure to let me know.

Thanks guys! I hope you like my team! Feedback is much appreciated! :D

Hey there! So I will rate your team. Sadly, your team has terrible synergy, the mons don't go well with each other. The replay you mentioned is useless, your opponent had no idea what he was doing. I would suggest you take out ampharos, because it is not very good in the OU Metagame. I see your idea with the Plus/Minus strategy, but I suggest you should try that out in the lower tiers the belong in.
for this team, use this instead:

243.gif

Raikou @ Assault Vest / Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Its your fast electric type which gives you a lot of momentum with volt switch, excellent coverage in HP Ice & Shadow Ball.Better than Ampharos.

If we switch out Ampharos, we have to get rid of Kling Klang as well, I suggest you should use a Bisharp instead of it. It has similar resistences, hard hitting STABs and Priority.
625.gif

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Low Kick
- Iron Head

Next up is Salamence. The Moveset is actually not that good. Your team also has no way to get rid of Hazards. Why don't you switch it out for Latios? It has access to Defog, replaces your Dragon Mon and fits the team better, since 2 4x ice weaknesses are pretty bad.
381.gif

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Memento
- Defog
- Psyshock

Cloyster is also something that does not look too good on your team. Since you want a physical water type and have some problems with dragons, I suggest using Azumarill. It gives you a useful dragon immunity, strong water attacks and a solid switch in for greninja & Keldeo which both threaten your team a lot.

184.gif

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 240 SpD
Serious Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off / Superpower

On Charizard, you should leave out Air Slash, since in the sun, Fire Blast does more Damage, even to Opponents with a 4xWeakness to Flying.
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Breloom in Sun: 948-1116 (363.2 - 427.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Air Slash vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Breloom: 864-1020 (331 - 390.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
You can use Roost to heal up after chip damage or Dragon Pulse for Coverage.

Gliscor:
If you want it to be your rocks setter, run a bulky split, so that you can spread toxic as well, use this one:

Gliscor (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 192 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Roost / Protect
- Stealth Rock

72 Speed lets you outspeed jolly Ttar, 244 Hp maximize Poison Heal recovery.

Now that we got that, you have decent synergy and a strong team to break stall and offense in OU, I hope I helped!
Here is the complete team:

Charizard (Mega Y) w/ Charizardite Y
Drought
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid
- Focus Blast
- Roost
- Fire Blast
- SolarBeam

Raikou @ Assault Vest / Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Bisharp @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Low Kick
- Iron Head

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Memento
- Defog
- Psyshock

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 16 HP / 252 Atk / 240 SpD
Serious Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off / Superpower

Gliscor (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 192 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Roost / Protect
- Stealth Rock

Some of your movesets are not that good. Gliscor functions much better in a Toxic stall capacity then in an offensive capacity.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Substitute
- Toxic

A set like this takes better advantage of Gliscor's awesome self-recovery. Cloyster also functions better as a Shell Smasher as that is his most notable OU worthy trait.

Cloyster @ Focus Sash
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Razor Shell
- Icicle Spear/Ice Shard
- Rock Blast
- Shell Smash

This allows you to reach it's full sweeping potential. Icicle Spear vs Ice Shard comes down to whether you feel like you need priority or not. Salamence has had some struggles in OU, so you may want to go with MixMence, one of his more effective sets.

Salamence @ Lum Berry
Ability: Intimidate/Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Lonely Nature
- Outrage/Dragon Claw (Dragon Rush is not that good)
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Dance

This gives his strong Dragon STAB, and Earthquake and Fire Blast compliment Dragon attacking very well. Those overage moves allow you to get by things like Heatran, Skarmory and Ferrothorn. Ampharos isn't really useful without it's Mega stone, and Klinklang really isn't useful in OU at all. Quaggster also made good suggestions for switching teammates out completely.

Quaggster Thanks for the feedback, i'll definitely take it on board. However, I'm not going to take on Latios. Nothing against it, but I try to limit myself to 1 legendary per team, and I think Raikou would be more useful. Also I think I'll replace Klinklang with Ferrothorn instead-Klinklangs main reason for being on was to wall some hits and maybe deal out some decent damage. Bisharp is good but all he really adds is some offensive potential, and I already have a lot of that on my team. I like that Gliscor set though-I'll definitely use it.
SketchUp Thanks for the Heads Up, know I know that was a waste :P
Celticpride034 I like your salamence and your Cloyster sets especially - I'll definitely put them on, and I know it means I'll still have that 4x weakness but that doesn't bother me that much, as loads of things on my team can take out ice types.

BTW guys, since I'm gonna put on Ferrrothorn, do any of you have some good sets for it?
Thanks!

good set for ferrothorn
ferrothorn.gif

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Impish Nature
- Curse
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed

Unsure about having a water-type attack and a sun setter in the same team. I know Cloyster needs coverage, but yeah.
Ferrothorn getting killed more easily because of your sun setter is also problematic...

also ampharos iron ball wut, not to mention earthquake bait

At the lowest possible speed Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball already has its max BP by an opponents speed of 240. I do agree Curse may work, but the speed drop isn't even needed. Boosting you defense stat for more bulk and attack stats for higher hits with Gyro Ball (Gyro Ball at +1 OHKOs not invested Latios and does big damage on things like Landorus-T and Mew) However, I do never use it because Ferrothorn has better moves imo like Stealth Rock, Leech Seed, T-Wave, Protect, Gyro Ball, Power Whip, Spikes and Toxic, so there is no room for Curse

Ok now I can get this done carry 4 def evs on your mega-zardy so that it can switch into rocks twice I know this as I have my own zardy team. You need a defogger of a rapid spinner the ones I suggest are
Excadrill @ Life Orb/Assault Vest/Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide/Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Draco Meteor
- Defog
- Surf

Latias (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Surf
- Dragon Pulse
- Defog
- Healing Wish

If you use any of these replace raikou, mence, or cloyster. Also replace rocks on gliscor with sub, and give rocks to ferrothorn over spikes. Also take aerial ace off ferrothorn give it protect for scouting,or leech seed to cause switches and get health back. But also raikou should maybe be replaced with thundurus as it checks bird spam better.

Pikachu42 + Quaggster : A RMT is not a place where you start a debate on a set, especially if all you do is flooding the forum. You got a PM feature on Smogon, try to make a better use of it if you really want to compare the size of your Ds.

XtremeEmboar : Your RMT doesn't respect the rules, and the layout is actually atrocious, it's a wall of text and by watching it I have the impression that your team has 124526 members, plus you lack a real description under each set. Change it asap, I'll check again tommorow and if its not solved, I'll lock.

EDIT : you had your chance
