Mege Team!

Alright gentlemen, I've been following smogon for quite some time now and just today decided to join the community!

I've only joined competitive battling since gen 4, but back then I was too focused on good looking teams rather than good ones.

Well, recently I finally came up with a more balanced team (tho, I'm still a lot into good looking pokèmons...).

Well here it is, hope it doesn't look too lame. :) (I'm using your "layout" Diablix, pardon ;P )

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Abilty: Pressure
Evs: 4HP / 252Atk / 252Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk -SAtk)

Stone Edge
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Taunt

So let's get started. Aerodactly is my lead. He's pretty fast already that's why I went for an adamant nature. His job is to either taunt to avoid opponent setup or to setup Stealth Rock on his own.
Also thanks to focus sash I'm sure Aeordactly is going to last at least one turn. After doing what he must, he can either try to sweep (stone+quake is always good for coverage) or switch, and come back to finish off opponent pokèmons later, thanks to his speed.

Haxorus @ Life Orb
Abilty: Mold Breaker
Evs: 4HP / 252Atk / 252Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk -SAtk)

Outrage
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Dragon Dance

Here's my main sweeper. He literally tears holes in any unprepared team (well, lately lot of poeple are prepared to Haxy tho lol). If it manages to kick in at least one dragon dance then the opponent really is in trouble, since Outrage becomes incredibly powerful.
He hates priority attacks tho, such as mach punch conkeldurr.
I was thinking about switching Dragon Claw to either Sword Dance or X Scissor for better coverage.

Hydreigon@ Draco Jewel
Abilty: Levitate
Evs: 4HP / 252SAtk / 252Spe
Nature: Modest (+SAtk -Atk)

Dark Pulse
Draco meteor
Flamethrower
Focus Blast

Hydreigon is my second sweeper. Altho he shares the dragon type with Haxy he plays a different role. He's a special and more bulk sweeper, wich I can attempt to switch in sometimes (on ground moves also, thanks to levitate). Also, his flamethrower helps a lot the team with coverage (but scarfed Scizors are a problem). Draco meteor + draco jewel destroys everything wich is getting the team in trouble.

282_gardevoir_front_norm.png

Gardevoir@ Spec Lens
Abilty: Trace
Evs: 4HP / 252SAtk / 252SDef
Nature: Modest (+SAtk -Atk)

Psychic
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Calm Mind (lol yeah, I need to change this one for the Spec Lens set but i still couldn't find a good move)

There she is, my favourite pokèmon! (I know, mine and another thousand's one..)
I've had this Gardevoir since ruby. Funny is, I found out she had a 31iv in Spa only later!
She's some kind of support for the team, hitting most pokemon with at least neutral damage. Her real purpouse is to switch in on Sp attackers (mostly those dragon threatening ice beams) and hit back.
She can also handle bulky water types very well since they're usually specially based.

ferrothorn_display.png

Ferrothorn@ Rocky Helmet
Abilty: Iron Barbs
Evs: 252HP / 48Def / 208SDef
Nature: Relaxed (+Def -Spe)

Power Whip
Gyro Ball
Leech Seed
Spikes

This is the standard set from Smogon, a mixed wall wich gives a lot of coverage and may end an opponent sweep. Again tho, I have trouble with powerful fight type pokemon, such as Conkeldurr.
I love to save this guy for later and switch it in on low health opponent's attack, so that they get killed by iron barbs rather than having to predict wether i can outspeed them or not.

350.png

Milotic@ Leftovers
Abilty: Marvel Scale
Evs: 252HP / 252Def / 4 SAtk
Nature: Bold (+Def -Atk)

Scald
Ice Beam
Recover
Light Screen

Another set from Smogon, with the add of lightscreen. Nothing much to say, Scald is really nice with a 30% burning rate and Milotic can switch in easily on attacks that would hurt either the dragons or ferrothorn. If the opponent stays in after the switch I can just set light screen up and then recover til I'm at full life again. Tho it usually doesn't happen, I tend to just set light screen up on their switch and then switch back to a sweeper wich thanks to LS can resist some hits better.

Alright this is it, hope there aren't too many mistakes, sorry for my english if that's the case. :)

On hydreigon, I recommend life orb instead of the dragon gem to cause more consitent damage over the battle. If you feel it wears it down too fast, you can opt for leftovers instead.

Thanks for the replies everyone. :)

I will think about Life Orb, tho that would force me to give something else to haxorus (isn't there this "no double item" clause somewhere?)

And that's great about Gardevoir, I just didn't know she could learn Ice Beam! o.o

EDIT: Wich she can't, sadly, just checked. Is psyshock useful anyway?

This is a nice team but I would recommend using a standard slowbro set over milotic as it can take a +2 eq from excadrill which many of your team wouldn't be too happy taking, also I can see that a skarm could be a particular problem if hydreigon was taken down early so I'd recommend mayby using expert belt on hydreigon so you can bluff the scarf/specs. Also rain teams may give you a lot of trouble if your ferrothorn is out of the way other than that its a nice team :)

expand your descriptions a bit, a couple are really lacking

Thanks everybody again! :)

You're giving me really nice ideas wich I'm looking forward to try out. I'll let you know! ;)

EDIT: Alright, I'll try to expand the description a little.

With your Hydreigon Use ExpertBelt or Life Orb and a Timid nature so you can Outspeed banded Haxorus. You could use fireBlast for the extra power but there is a low acc. With your FerroThorn Protect > GyroBall, you can scout the oppents team and stall out with leechseed other then that goodjob.
