Melmetal @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Double Iron Bash
- Earthquake / Superpower
- Thunder Punch
- Thunder Wave

Melmetal is popular in National Dex thanks to it luring in and crippling foes like defensive Landorus-T, Corviknight, and physically defensive Tangrowth while also supporting teammates such as Hydreigon and Mega Latios with Thunder Wave. Melmetal benefits greatly from aggressive play, as clever double switches into foes like Weavile and Tapu Lele allow for prime opportunities to wreak havoc on the opposing team. Earthquake is the preferred coverage option, as it allows Melmetal to hit Steel-types and Toxapex super effectively; however, Superpower can be used instead to hit Ferrothorn. It invests in Special Defense to better handle foes such as Clefable and Tapu Lele. 16 EVs in Speed let it outpace Toxapex so it can hit it with Earthquake before it strikes back. However, it doesn't come without flaws, as Melmetal is incredibly susceptible to getting worn down by repeated hits and entry hazards. It also gets OHKOed by super effective from Mega Medicham and Kartana.

Melmetal has seen a spike in usage recently not rlly recent is popular in National Dex thanks to it luring in and crippling foes in foes like defensive Landorus-T, Corviknight, and Physically Defensive Tangrowth, while also supporting teammates such as Nasty Plot Hydreigon and Mega Latios with Thunder Wave. Slightly nitpicky but i think mentioning teammates here that are hindered by the mons you previously mentioned would be better. Melmetal benefits greatly from aggressive play, as clever double switches into foes like Weavile or Tapu Lele allow for prime opportunities to wreak havoc on the opposing team. Earthquake is the preferred coverage option as it allows Melmetal to hit Steel-types while also being able to hit Toxapex super effectively, however, Superpower can be used to hit Ferrothorn. Due to its naturally high Health and Physical Defense stats iIt invests in Special Defense to better handle foes such as Clefable, and Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini. With 16 EVs in Speed, it outpaces Toxapex and can hit it with Earthquake before it strikes back.while also outspeeding foes like Galarian Slowking and Gastrodon who all soft-check Melmetal in one way or another. This allows it to fire off an Earthquake, or a powerful Double Iron Bash to overwhelm them before they can recover and strike back. However, all these positives come with a set of flaws, namely how it is forced out by common offensive powerhouses like Ash Greninja and Tapu Koko, worn down by entry hazards and how it often cannot handle repeated hits from the foes it is supposed to answer. However, it doesnt come without flaws, as Melmetal is incredibly susceptible to getting worn down by repeated hits and entry hazards. And its ohkoed by supereffective hits from Mega Medicham and Kartana .
almost felt like qc rejecting this because of the lack of fmabh references but ill let it slide this once, should be just under 1000 characters once properly implemented; most of whats been cut is due to the excessive amount of characters.
