ORAS UU Memento + Salamence

Hi guys!

My first RMT. Actually not the first one, but the first inside the right rules from here.

So let me introduce you to my team:

Whimsicott@ Focus Sash
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Def
- Taunt
- Encore
- U-turn
- Memento

I was wondering why everybody keep saying the Aerodactyl is the best suicide lead of the tier. Ok, i agree, but in front of Prankster+Taunt+Memento what he can do? Anyway, most people already predict my lead and send a offensive poke, that´s why memento is there and my first and main strategy. With memento i can open a huge space for the next star of this team.

Salamence @ Lum Berry
Ability: Moxie
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Iron Tail

Nowadays a lot of mons in UU run the Scarfed version, but why being locked in a move and be a setup bait? No problem with the open of memento. Just switch in and use Dragon Dance to havok the other team. The moves are for coverage, but i must say i hate Iron Tail and his poor accuracy, but it is the only way to deal against Fairy.

Jolteon@ Focus Sash
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 HP / 252 Spe
- Baton Pass
- Agility
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Grass

So my first strategy was screw up? No problem, my second strategy coming in my help. Jolteon + Agility+Focus Sash+Baton Pass is my response for scarfed mons, and my chance to pass a +2 speed of my other pokes. Jolteon was chose because of his high speed and with agility no scarfed mon can outspeed. Hidden power grass is for Swampert, even with rindo berry i can 2HKO and survive enought to baton pass agility.

Slurpuff@ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Unburden
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP/ 252 Spe
- Belly Drum
- Drain Punch
- Play Rough
- Return

Here there is no secret. This thing is a monter for unprepared teams. Belly Drum+Sitrus Berry+Unburden is a incredible combo for late sweep. Even neutral damage from this thing is a real danger. If my first and second strategy didn´t work until the end of other team, this thing just come and finish everyhting.

Swampert@ Swampertite
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP/ 252 Spe
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
- Power - Up Punch

Most people just dont realize this strategy when is too late. Baton pass agility to Swampert and Power-Up Punch is something that open holes in a team faster can you can say Swampert. Power - Up punch is a must for sweep potential, and just after one is a huge treat for opposite team. Earthquake and Waterfall for stab, ice punch to coverage against any grass in front of.

Metagross@ Weakness Policy
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP/ 252 Spe
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Meteor Mash
- Agility

I am not goint to lie, Metagross wasn´t my first chose from this last slot. I put him most of another option for my baton pass+agility and my own affection toward this mon. The strategy is simple, baton pass+agility to him or just send him and agility and sweep. But i must say i am not happy with the synergy with the rest of team. I need more to be satisfied with this mon in my team.

Yo Aegismax,

I'm gonna be honest. It's a weird team. That doesn't mean it's bad, in fact most of the times a weird team is good. I'm gonna try to do some rating, but if you don't agree, I can fully understand.

- Mega Swampert with Agility support is a neat idea, but I feel like you're losing a lot of fire power when you make it Jolly. I would go Adamant > Jolly, because you already get the speed via Jolteon. I do get the idea with Power-Up Punch, but I feel like a nice Rain Dance would fit a bit better.

- Jolteon is nice as a semi-setup check, but I feel like Timid > Modest. I know that Agility can make you a bit faster, but when you're running Timid, you don't outspeed Crobat or +1 Adamant Gyarados for example. This would be a shame, especially when hazards are up on your side of the field.

- This second last one is kind of a....semi idea. Maybe, since you already have a Speed passer, you can switch out Agility for Bullet Punch or Stealth Rock on your Metagross. ''Double Dance'' Metagross is awesome as well, don't get me wrong, but it might be a good idea.

- Just a tiny tiny tiny little last thing. Salamence shouldn't have 4 HP. This is because of the fact that Salamence is weak to Stealth Rock, what gives it a smaller amount of switch-ins. I would put the EV's in Special Defense, so that Porygons don't get a Special Attack raise of it.

I hope I helped you a bit, although I think this team doesn't fit me, I might have given you some good ideas. Anyways, glhf with your battles and have a good day :]
