MenceNape Combo!!!(OU RMT)

I have been playing with this team lately and lost 6 matches out of 25 matches.
This team has a weakness to ground( Metagross and Infernape) BUT I can take care of it. Also I am really proud of this team but want to make it better. The main stratergy is to take care of threats that danger my sweepers then unleash my sweepers.

TEAM:

metagross.png

Metagross@ Occa Berry
Adamant nature
Ability: Clear Body
EV 252 HP/ 236 ATK/ 12 DEF/ 8 Speed
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Meteor Mash
Bullet Punch

Yeah, I like this Lead a lot so use it a lot. Stealth Rock then sweep. He helps me take care of physic pokes like Alakazam and ghost pokes like Gengar. He is also my late game sweeper. He is one of the most vital member of my team as he takes care of fast pokemons that are problems to my team.

swampert.png

Swampert@ Leftovers
Relaxed nature
Ablility: Torrent
EV 240 HP/ 216 DEF/ 52 SpATK
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Surf
Roar

My very reliable tank. After Metagross stealth rocks then he faints or switched, Swampert comes in. He can be really annoying when he keep doing roars and hurts pokes with stealth rock. He is also used to take care of lot of threats on its own Salamence and Flygon and Tyranitar and Jolteon and more.

vaporeon.png

Vaporeon@ Leftovers
Bold nature
Ablility Water Absorb
EV 188 HP/ 252 DEF/ 68 Speed
Wish
Protect
Surf
Toxic/ Ice Beam

My wish support to keep my sweepers alive. It is very helpful against at water types with its amazing ablility Water Absorb. It is also a vital member because it keeps my sweepers healthy.

snorlax.bmp

Snorlax@ Leftovers
Careful nature
Ability: Thick Fat
EV 168 HP/ 120 ATK/ 220 SpDEF
Body Slam
Fire Punch
Crunch
Self Destruct

My Special Tank. I did not put EQ beacause I already used it all!!!!!!! Takes out many threats like Alakazam and Heatran. If it is in trouble and have no way out it self destructs sacraficing and taking care of the pokemon. Also if it has trouble with fighting types, Salamence and Infernape are backing him up. He is the last poke before I unleash my sweepers so he usually finishes off everything that blocks infernap e and Salamence way.
infernape.png

Infernape@ Life Orb
Naive nature
Ability: Blaze
EV 64 ATK/ 252 SpATK/ 192 Speed
Close Combat
Flamethrower
Grass Knot
Mach Punch/ Vaccum Wave

One of the Star of my team. HP Ice is not there since most dragons are taken care of before Infernape comes in. It is pretty standard except for the last slot. Last slot is quickly take care of pokemons that have low HP. It is my one of most important member since it finishes the game with Salamence.

salamence.png

Salamence@ Choice Specs
Timid nature
Ability Intimidate
EV 4 DEF/ 252 SpATK/ 252 Speed
Draco Meteor
Dragon Pulse
Flamethrower
Hydro Pump

My special and one of the star of my team. As this set is 100% walled by Blissey but is no problem since Infernape takes care of it. It is usually comes very last to take care of everything. I am still thinking turning it to a choice scarf set.

So that is my team. It is just a standard platinum team but it is strong.
so please give me suggestions.
Happy RMT

Hello! =)

I would suggest changing your Salamence set. While SpecsMence is no doubt effective, I think that a Dragon Dance set would be a better fit on your team. You currently have no true "sweeper", and Dragon Dance Salamence is a magnificent set up sweeper. Here is the set:

Salamence @ Life Orb / Yache Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk / 24 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive nature (+Speed, -Special Defense)
~ Dragon Dance
~ Outrage / Dragon Claw
~ Earthquake
~ Fire Blast

Dragon Dance Salamence is without a doubt one of the most prominent threats in the OU metagame, capable of 2HKOing every Pokemon in the game after a Dragon Dance. The set is fairly straightforward: Dragon Dance is a necessity, Earthquake is a great move for hitting what your STAB doesnt, and Fire Blast lets you nail Bronzong for a 2HKO (with the given EVs). The choice between Outrage and Dragon Claw is up to you. Outrage is a disgustingly powerful move, but if a steel type such as Metagross or Scizor switches in on you, you are pretty much screwed. Also, no one likes being confused. Dragon Claw has a significantly less amount of power, but it gives you the ability to switch attacks (and switch out, for that matter).

The item choice is another toss-up. While Life Orb is no doubt a very important item for getting the jump on other pokemon and scoring KOes that would be otherwise unachieveable (see: Bronzong), it can significanly lower the length of your sweep, and can screw you over like you wouldnt believe. Yache Berry is a wonderful option to give Salamence more longevity be getting rid of that god-awful x4 weakness to Ice. I think that the item that you go with generally depends on your play style, and what you are willing to give away.

Anyway, I hope I helped, and good luck! =)

As it stands Blissey can just keep switching in on Salamence and force it out every time while it racks up Stealth Rock damage (you have no Rapid Spinner either). You should go with either a Mixmence with Roost or a DD sweeper that's brought in once its counters are cleared.

With the addition to a change to a DD Mence, you could also make Vaporeon a Sub-passer.. which would give Mence an easier time to Dance up and sweep, possibly even getting two DD's in. A Vaporeon vs Blissey could easily turn into a subbed up Salamence vs a Blissey.
