My first team just got into competitive this year. So far having a blast but i feel I'm lacking alot with this current team.


Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Pursuit
- X-Scissor

So not much else to say but my all around physical sweeper.

Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Protect

Mawile I was hesitant but i'm starting to love how unsuspecting people can be especially when set up against lucarios and talonflames.

Meowstic (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Light Screen
- Quick Guard
- Reflect

He's my main support really loving Quick Guard and Fake out.

Tyranitar @ Soft Sand
Ability: Sand Stream
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Rock Slide

Tyranitar right now is my answer to Talonflame cause that bird usually devastates me. He's one of the few only counters I know.

Kingdra @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Focus Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Flash Cannon

I really love Crit kingdra set up with meowstic for gaurding can usually OHKO most pokemon

Noivern @ Leftovers
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Roost
- Boomburst
- Dragon Pulse
- U-turn

He's my all around scout mainly there but i feel scizor is alot better at it.
 
I would remove Noivern, but i wouldn't use Aromatisse or trick room!!! I would instead use a greninja or something similar. My only other note is that jolly is AWFUL on Kingdra so use timid or modest instead!
 
Timid or Modest, Timid makes him faster, modest makes him hit really hard. For an item on Greninja Life Orb is usual, but if you don't want to do that, use the choice specs and timid nature!
 
been trying greninja protean makes him ridiculously crazy if i go with life orb on him what should i replace scizor with i had metal plate originally but thinking choice item
 
See I wasnt sure about x-scissor and bug bite is illegal in VGC.Doesn't leave me many options besides struggle bug. Thank you for that and I was wondering what to take out for meowstic cause i find timeswhere I don't need quickgaurd and I have Reflect, light screen up I was thinking of getting rid of Fake out cause it's very situational
 
I replaced noivern with greninja and it's helped alot with Hidden power fire, ice beam, hydro, u-turn. I do use/get focus energy alot with crit kingdra I find on scizor he is usually getting OHKO so unless i use bullet I usually don't get a second round.
 
MAT BLOCK IS BEYOND TERRIBLE NEVER EVER USE IT

I'm sure Pinoy Pwnage will get to this eventually, but for now you should probably expand the descriptions you've written for your Pokemon - if they're all under three lines you run the risk of an RMT moderator locking your thread.

Ability: Technician

My main physical sweeper. Usually OHKO pokemon with low def. Seems to get owned by ghost and fire types. So far I can't find anything else useful besides Bullet punch and pursuit.

Mawile-Mega @ Mawilite

Personally a favorite pokemon. Can be pretty tanky and has a good round of moves to help against most types. Seem extremely weak to gound and fire. She seems to have good potential in the right setups.

Meowstic (M) @ Light Clay

- Light Screen
- Quick Guard
- Reflect

Meowstic is my main support. I have light screen and reflect to ease the damage of spatk and regular attacks. Psychic for a STAB, and Quick Guard for the likes of Lucarios and Talonflames cause of the Prankster +1.

He's my main "tank" or wall if you will. He's got rock and dark type moves able to usually survive fire pokemon hits but suffers to extreme fighting weakness. I feel like now that I have meowstic I don't have to worry about Talonflames as much cause before he would one shot almost everything i have.

Kingdra @ Scope Lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 6 Spd
Timid Nature
- Focus Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam

I chose kingdra for my OHKO almost anything pokemon. If i can get Meowstic's Quick Gaurd and set up for focus energy kingdra has a near 100% crit chance with ice beam and draco meteor. I chose Draco cause even due to it's drawback it really only becomes ineffective after 3 or 4 uses cause of the crit damage. Thinking of Scald over hydro just to have that burn chance.


Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Timid Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- U-turn

Greninja was suggested so I picked him up and so far i really like him. I love that he's one of the top speed with Timid nature. Love Protean can basically make him any type of pokemon. Only downside i have is shadow sneak for a different ghost move and or u-turn for a different. move. I like have U-turn cause it fills the grass type void I don't really have and love shadow sneak for the +1 kill and to make him a ghost type which gives him a huge advantage over alot of pokemon


All in all I think I'm getting a well rounded team just trying to find a way to cover what seems to be a strong weakness to fire/fighting types!!! I am fairly new to this and so far have been using toying with all the advice. I greatly appreciate it.
