Hey, guys! I've seen the resounding success of many OMs here on the forums. I am hoping to have another successful OM created - Mergemons.

The concept for this metagame is simple. It is similar to regular OU. All stats are the same, all types are the same, all abilities are the same, and all movepools are the same – except for one difference. Every fully evolved Pokemon is grouped up with two other Pokemon. The boldened Pokemon in the group can now use every move that any of the group members can use.

NFEs get the moves of their full evos. That means Chansey gets Miltank's moves and Raikou's moves (like Blissey), for example.
Plus, all move illegalities are fixed as long as the moves are acquirable from R/S/E onward. (No Lovely Kiss Nidoking.)
Meloetta-P and Darmanitan-Z are now legal as standalone Pokemon in Mergemons. However, Meloetta-P cannot use the merged moves Swords Dance or Shift Gear.

Where can you play this metagame? Simple. You can play it anywhere on Showdown with the Custom Game option. I usually hang out in the OMs room on the main server to play it, however.

Aggron looks stellar here. Recover, Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Sucker Punch, Bullet Punch and Knock Off all give it opportunities to make a big impact. Bulky offense and Stall will both love this thing.

Pangoro is basically the definition of a bulky pivot now. Between Thunder Wave, Parting Shot, Sucker Punch, U-turn and Recover, Pangoro can really make a name for itself in this metagame. Choiced sets are no longer as desirable now, however, with none of the new movepool additions really appreciating them aside from U-turn.

Goodra's looking really solid and versatile with Calm Mind, Stealth Rock and Spikes alone. It could run nice sets with Defense EV investment to use as either a hazard setter or Calm Mind user. It could also find success in Trick Room, but other mons may have that covered.

Chesnaught will be an excellent Wish setter in combination with Spiky Shield and gets nice defensive and offensive options as a whole. I'm going to try a Shift Gear set with it an see how it goes. :)

Delphox looks like it could function as a fast, strong stallbreaker thanks to Taunt, Focus Blast and Energy Ball. Nice!

Greninja's nearly as monstrous as he was in Mergemons 1.0 with Swords Dance and ALL OF THAT PHYSICAL AND SPECIAL COVERAGE MY LORD. This will be fun. >:)

Volcanion is looking solid. Giga Drain, Thunderbolt and Fire Blast threaten Water Absorb and Dry Skin users and Taunt and Knock Off threaten stally special walls.

Just looking at this metagame, it looks great! Basing the moves by dex order also makes it easier to know what moves the opponent has without having to do research in battle. Hopefully this change can attract a bigger crowd than Mergemons 1.0 did.

My baby cm Kyu-B is back, Talonflame still has Eq but no more Power whip for Rotom, also no recover for him, a bunch more QDancers, to troll Zygarde even more Garchomp got Esped and Bulk up (even if it isn't Coil), this seems much more offensive than Mergemons 1.0 since you don't have the master utility counter or even Heart Swap Mandi but it seems to be more diverse? Might try it later. Also are hidden abilities alowed? Because holy gods Serperior

Defiant raises the user's Attack stat by two stages for each stat lowered by an opponent, including the Attack stat, even if reduced by Abilities, like Intimidate. A couple more things I noticed when teambuilding:
Machamp can be used as a somewhat better version of Assault Vest Conkeldurr thanks to Sucker Punch, higher Special bulk and new access to Drain Punch. Pretty nice answer to Heatran.

Great bulk, Sap Sipper and hazards make Goodra a great lead immune to Spore and with pretty good coverage. I made a physically defensive variant with SR, Draco Meteor, EQ and Thunderbolt with a Relaxed nature.

Greninja is so versatile! Psyshock is great for it to hit special walls on Sp. Attacking sets and going mixed or physical is very plausible. Hopefully its coverage will allow it to force enough switches to get a Swords Dance or Calm Mind up.

Being a spinner with U-turn is pretty useful for Flygon, since it can just switch out and get chip damage on spinblockers. It has Crunch and Dark Pulse to beat Ghosts if it desires to as well.

EDIT: I just made this really cool-looking Crobat set since I needed a fast Fairy resistance and hazard clearer. Pretty neat!

Foul Play + Super Fang is a great combination that can wear down any Pokemon. Toxic and U-turn look to be a bit more useful against Stall, but I'm going to try FP and SF first.

Landorus-Incarnate is now being suspected. From my experiences it tears apart stall and basically requires it to run Rotom-Wash. It also hurts offense a lot with its Rock Polish set. It may be hurt by priority, but that doesn't stop him from tearing apart stall, offense, bulky offense, whatever.
It has a ton of ways to get around its "checks".
Chansey? Knock Off / Close Combat / Secret Sword.
Bulky Fairies? Sludge Wave.
Goodra? Ice Beam.
Mega Venusaur? Psychic.
Bulky Waters? Thunderbolt.
Skarmory? Thunderbolt / Fusion Flare.
Almost everything else? Earth Power.
