My first RMT on these forums. Anyone who's played me on the Smogon ladder (a while ago, I don't ladder much while the CAP project is going on) knows this team.
It's retired as of now. It's old (the core of the team has been around since before event moves were banned) and it's gotten somewhat lost in the tiny metagame changes, dispite my best efforts.
THE LINEUP-
Just wear stuff down and either sweep with Chomp, CMTomb, or let them die from passive damage.

Hippowdon @Leftovers
Sandstream [Ability]
Impish [Nature]
240 HP/28 Atk/240 Def
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Roar
~Covers a lot. Phazing helps the team out immensly, or else I would be mega fucked over against Chomp (should Toxic Spikes not be down) or DDMence or something. Lays Rocks down since I dislike having all of the options on Forry.~
---
---
Forretress @Leftovers
Sturdy [Ability]
Impish [Nature]
252 HP/96 Atk/160 Def
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
~Earthquake I've found is a much better move on Forry than Gyro Ball. Toxic Spikes is crucial to the team. Spinning is even more so, as I've found myself fucked over too many times by Toxic Spikes after Forry has died. So I try not to let that happen anymore.~
---
---
Vaporeon @Leftovers
Water Absorb [Ability]
Bold [Nature]
192 HP/252 Def/56 Spd/8 SpDef
- Surf
- HP [Electric]
- Wish
- Protect
~Evil Hampster gave me this spread. HP [Elec] allows it to deal with Gyarados, who would assrape me otherwise. Wish support helps the team. Vappy stops me from being troubled my MixApe and Heatran (to an extent) as well.~
---
---
Spiritomb @Leftovers
Pressure [Ability]
Bold [Nature]
252 HP/232 Def/24 SpDef
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Dark Pulse
- Calm Mind
~Love this Tomb set. Every other one I've used is an annoyance to me. Stops me from losing to most CMers (except Cune, who Vaporeon can take care of). My sleep absorber.
---
---
Blissey @Leftovers
Natural Cure [Ability]
Calm [Nature]
24 HP/252 Def/56 SpAtk/176 SpDef
- Icy Wind
- Flamethrower
- Softboiled
- Toxic
~This team is old. Softboiled+Icy Wind was my adaptation to Wish being removed. I never changed it back because I threw Vappy in. Icy Wind works suprisingly well for the team. It helps me from losing say, a Chomp speed tie, should they switch in after Hippo has died.~
---
---
Garchomp @Yache Berry
Sand Veil [Ability]
Jolly [Nature]
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang
- Swords Dance
~You should know what this does.~
---
Changes
- Celebi was swapped for Vaporeon
- SubSalac Chomp was replaced with SDYache Chomp
- Small changes to EVs
Uhh, as you noticed (hopefully), there are some problems. Hard to deal with pokemon would be Breloom, Mamoswine, and Gallade. And obligatory CMClefable. Heatran isn't too fun to play around with either, even with Vaporeon. Lack of a single Ground resist now that Celebi is gone hurts the team, but it's never been too much of a problem as I've always been able to deal with most threats that pack Earthquake/Earth Power.
But I'm a lazy team builder. When there's a problem, I play around it instead of fixing it directly. However, Breloom will fuck me over if it's in the hands of someone who has actuaclly played the game for longer than a month.
So comment and fix or whatever. I may drag this guy out of retirement sometime.
