The scenario isn't too complex: I have a Cloyster with the Skill Link ability, making Spike Cannon and Icicle Spear hit 5 times apiece. I also have the item Metronome, which is said to boost a move used consecutively.
The big question is, does the boost obtained by metronome increase after each single hit of multi-hit moves or does it only apply to the multi-hit move as a whole?
This may have interesting implications, if it is the former. For instance, the total damage of Spike Cannon would be 20+22+24+26+28=120 after one usage, and 30+32+34+36+38=170 after the second usage, and consistently 200 with subsequent usages since Metronome is said to stop working after the move has doubled in power.
Is this how the scenario works? Or does Metronome only offer a 10% boost after all 5 strikes, leaving the first 5 hits to be only 100 total power, then 110 for the second 5 hits?
