Hey guys, welcome to my first ever RMT. Today I have for you a Mega Slowbro HO Team. The reason I decided to build around mega slowbro is that it's gives you the best of both worlds, a reliable switch into some of the biggest threats in the OU metagame such as Mega Lopunny, Azumarill, Landorus-T, and Mega Medicham . Also it a great late game sweeper, when you have defeated your opponents checks/counters.

Fetty Wap
(Alakazam) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Focus Blast
- Taunt/Hidden Power Ice
- Psychic

Alakazam's job on this team is to prevent hazards early game, cripple threats to the team with Thunder Wave, and blow holes into your opponent's defensive cores, so your other team members such as Landorus-T and Azumarill have easier times sweep. This may not happen every game but keep in mind that Alakazam is an important part of this team so do not just sack this mon because I'm sure we all know how Thunder Wave can turn a game around.

Rocks?
(Landorus-Therian) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
As you can tell by this Landorus set, it's not your cookie cutter Landorus that you see copy and pasted on every team. This Landorus Set is suppose to take advantage of that. Sub Salac Lando can be used as another sweeper on this team, or to break holes in defensive cores. After an intimidate the ever so present Tank Chomp can not break your sub (calc will be provided below), and this so call check now becomes setup fodder for Lando.

Mic Was Dropped
(Weavile) @ Life Orb

By Now I Hope we all know what weaviles job is on offense teams, but just is can you don't I'm going to go over it here. Weavile jobs on this team is to check the pokemon that give this team trouble, Tornadus-T the Lati twins Serperior fast psychic types such as Alakazam and Starmie. Weavile also gives you a mon that can OHKO Defensive mons like Garchomp, Gliscor, and Landorus-T. But Weaviles most important job on this team, is that it gives the team a reliable way of dealing with fast electrics such as Thundurus, Magnezone, and Raikou.

Trap Queen
(Magnezone) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
The reason I put magnezone on this team is for one reason,Trapping, magnezone does its job by trapping Pokemons such as skarmory, ferrothorn, and scizor. With those 3 gone, the door is wide open for the Azumarill, Landorus-T, and Mega Slowbro to do what they do best. Magnezone also provides me with a check to Serperior and Thundurus which can give this team a lot of trouble if not handled quickly.

TheyCallMeDamage
(Azumarill) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Belly Drum
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough/Return

As the nickname entails, Azumarill is giving out huge amounts of damage. I know you must be wondering why is this man running max speed azumarill, I will tell you why, its to lure those non 44 speed rotom-wash, and to outspeed mega venusaur and proceed to kill with return. Also with max speed you don't have to worry about those terrible azu speed ties that plague the ou ladder.

Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off
As you can tell by the mons above, this guy right here is the MVP, he is here to take the souls of the unsuspected ladder plebs. YES you are looking at that right, this slowbro is max s.def, you wanna know why? Because max s.def mega slowbro is at plus 1 is able to take on mega manectric, and raikou. While at plus 2 u are able to take on Life Orb thundurus, and Gengar. This spread can bite u in the butt though. You will not be able to take on anything at plus 2 atk such as excadrill, pinsir, lando, or Garchomp. But other than that, this thing is a monster to deal with.

Hey dude! nice rmt, here's my suggestions:

First of all Landorus-T Salac Berry is a pretty nice set but a bit hard to setup so I suggest another spread 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spe Jolly nature, I made this spread because you don't really need to play your Landorus-T full speed at the beginning I consulted the ORAS Speed Tiers to see who Lando-t can outspeed with the Salac Berry and without, so this spread allows it to outspeed Hydreigon LO and also it allows to outspeed Alakazam-Mega, Aerodactyl-Mega and Hydreigon Scarf after the Salac Berry's boost,
I put the 48 EVs remaining in HP for some extra bulk

For Azumarill, such as you said you want to outspeed Venusaur-Mega so I made this spread 60 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Spe Jolly nature with 203 Speed you can outspeed it, HP's EVs activate the Sitrus Berry if you use Belly Drum don't worry

Alakazam Sash ain't bad yes but in your team the LO will be better, also remove Thunder Wave on Zam because the threats of your teams are immune to TWave, bar serperior, I suggest the LO Alakazam set because it can help you for some pokemon who with you have difficult like Venusaur-Mega.
Alakazam @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Encore/Taunt/Recover/Calm Mind

Finally Slowbro-Mega, if you want to be able to take a tbolt from Manectric-Mega and Raikou at +1 and Thundurus's Thunderbolt/Gengar's Shadow Ball at +2, you can use this spread252 HP / 28 Def / 228 SpD that one with 228 EVs Speed is alsmost the same that 252 EVs on the calc. the remaining EVs in Def for more bulk.

252 SpA Mega Manectric Thunderbolt vs. +1 252 HP / 228+ SpD Slowbro: 170-204 (43.1 - 51.7%) -- 7.4% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Raikou Thunderbolt vs. +1 252 HP / 228+ SpD Slowbro: 152-182 (38.5 - 46.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Raikou Thunderbolt vs. +2 252 HP / 228+ SpD Slowbro: 174-206 (44.1 - 52.2%) -- 16% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. +1 252 HP / 228+ SpD Slowbro: 195-229 (49.4 - 58.1%) -- 95.3% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. +2 252 HP / 228+ SpD Slowbro: 148-174 (37.5 - 44.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. +2 252 HP / 228+ SpD Slowbro: 159-190 (40.3 - 48.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Hope I helped and good luck with your team. :p

Your team haven't a setter that is more important in the team. I think that Landorus-Defensive SR>your Landorus This lando give you a good support vs Zard X and physical sweeper, give you the hazard and the Momentum for the team. Use the 8 Evs in SpD for 2HKO by Manectric.

Change the spread of Azumarill in 92 HP / 252 HP / 164 Spe the HP number is even to ensure that its Sitrus Berry is activated after the Belly Drum and the EVS in Spread are sufficient for ouspeed uninvested base 70 Speed. The Evs in Atk and Adamant is very suggest because are necessary for more kill. But if you use Jolly Azumarill change the spread in 60 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Speed for active the Sitrus Berry after Belly Drum

Why you don't try Scarf Excadrill>Weavile? Excadrill give you the Rapid Spin support and help you vs Rotom that is really annoying for this team. Also check Manectric, Raikou and Thundurus that are a big weakness for the team. Ahhhh and check Torna-T :)
Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Thx for the suggestions, but for the azu spread that is jolly am i able to outspeed rotom-wash that do not have the 44 speed investment, and also like I said in the rmt the salac lando is suppose to catch players off guard, and zard-x has never been an issue with this team. Also for ur spread on slowbro, i think that you didnt read rmt because, there was a reason for me running max s.def and no def

thx for the reply, I have a question though for your slowbro spread, you failed to show any calcs to why the 28 def is needed. Am i able to take plus 2 hits with this 28 def, if not why am i running it?

The 28 EVs are just here for some extra bulk, they sould be useless on SpA or in another stat.

I like the team, pretty good stuff.

First off, you do need rocks if you're running powerful set up sweepers like BD Azumarill and SD Lando - as you're only a Skarmory Sturdy Whirlwind away from being phazed, ruining your efforts. Due to this, Rocks > Sub on Lando - probably switching your Salac for an Earth Plate/Lum Berry or similar, maybe also running Adamant.

For Azu, kudos on the normal coverage which I think is better than Play Rough. First off Frustration > Return for the Dittos, secondly I'd go for Super Power over Knock Off in terms of coverage. Jolly +6 Super Power guarantees the OHKO on Skarmory so long as it's after rocks (hence, the rocks I mentioned before) and allows you to breeze through things like Ferrothorn who would threaten it out otherwise - many dark weak mons without much bulk already get the OHKO from AJ (i.e. Gengar). AJ also fairs much better after Rocks in terms of cleaning mid to late game. In terms of the spread, 28 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 224 Spe with Jolly allows you to speed creep 8 Spe Rotom and and gives you even HP for Sitrus Berry while maintaining a little bulk. I actually tried the exact set with these changes on a HO team I was trying to build and it's pretty damn good at luring stuff in, albeit making Azu a little harder to set up as you lack the bulk.

Hey I'm The Batgirl,

Nice HO squad you've got there. I use dazzling gleam over hp ice since HP ice is to situational for me to use. I think it's just up to personal preference tho.
Another change I played around with is specs > scarf on zone since it helps KO ferro which is annoying bc it can set up hazards.
Also, I changed return into frustration since it helps with the Ditto match up, which isn't that common. Let me know what you think about these suggestions.

+6 252 Atk Huge Power Azumarill Return vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Slowbro: 337-397 (85.5 - 100.7%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO this is why im running knock off over superpower, plus superpower ruins the little bulk i have, plus i really dont think 7 more points of hp and 1 more point of def is going to make any difference. plus i added return as an option for the ohko on venu, i personally like play rough so i can hit things like sableye.

Specs magnezone is terrible since I can no longer check things like thundurus. Also Hp Ice finds a lot more usage than dazzling gleam, since lando, and tank chomp are on almost every team.

If you like Play Rough to for Sableye then okay, that's perfectly good reasoning.

However what I'm seeing in your Slowbro OHKO chance is a 2HKO, particularly with the rocks you aren't currently running. Taking dicey burn chances around Slowbro due to scald sucks (from experience), so why not at least run rocks? Better yet run rocks and get the OHKO with Frustration.

I have played similar sets and optimised them, trust me when I say I know what I'm talking about. At least should consider running the alt set and SR on an alt account on the ladder before you needlessly nay-say it - in any case good luck on the ladder.

You are running 4 speed evs on mega slowbro. Why? It doesn't help outspeeding anything, just put it into defense. Also, your threatlist shows a HUGE weakness to mons like serperior, and fast electrics, with your counter being sash on zam. Mega Manectric in general along with thundy are huge threats to your team. I'd suggest using Spdef heatran with chople > Magnezone as this gives you a solid steel switch in still, a stealth rock setter and an electric switch in. In general I'd suggest using Chople Berry for dealing with thundurus a lot better and mega alakazam.
Heatran @ Chople Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpD / 68 Spe
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Toxic
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
Since this beats mega Venusaur, you could just run Play Rough > Return on Azu.

Nice peak and I hope you find success with the team. I especially like the Lando-T set originality

I'm The Batgirl there's no need to get so defensive. You posted your team here presumably wanting feedback. If you don't like the suggestions, fine, but don't jump on the people providing them when they're only trying to help you out. None of them are trying to "completely change the team" either, from what I can see there's only a few EV spreads and moveset changes being mentioned and a single Pokemon change in a couple of posts. I deleted a bunch of your replies that were completely dismissing other people's opinions. Chill out and at least consider the suggestions. If you don't like them, then respectfully decline them. Just don't be a dick about it please.

i face you and this team several times over a few months and here are the holes i found when beating it:

a) You have no hazard setters or removers, I would suggest SD/lum Garchomp or if you want to be 'innovative' try this:

Garchomp @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

This will lure out opposing mons like quagsire and sableye (who otherwise can 2v6 you) and clean them out for other team-members. Hazard removal i guess isnt really 100% necessary for your team as only weavile really suffers from SR but i feel like rocks are pretty important for any team

b) Specs Zone > Scarf Zone, the difference in power is incredibly notable and you're not really short on speed with azu priority/weavile/zam floating around.

252 SpA Magnezone Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 204-240 (57.9 - 68.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Magnezone Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 332-392 (94.3 - 111.3%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Why is that important? If a ferro leech seeds on your switchin and you have taken a bit of prior damage between lefties/leech/protect you can actually lose to it in a 1v1

Anyway good luck with the climb
