MANAGER SIGN UP THREAD​

Welcome to the inaugural MFPL! This tournament is nearly identical to MPL, except it gives some lesser known or up and coming talent of the Monotype Community a chance to play in a team tournament alongside more veteran players. Nobody is prevented from signing up, as the goal is to expand participation beyond seasoned vets.

If you are interested in signing up to be a manager, post here using the following format:

You are REQUIRED to have a co-manager, though you can edit it in later or choose one from the draft. The manager selection process is mostly subjective. The hosts alongside the rest of the moderation team will select the managers we feel are most strongly suited for the tournament.

Pricing for self-buys will be determined later.

Some basic rules:
  • Current managers (or co-managers) in MPL are not allowed to manage in MFPL
  • Current managers in MPL can, however, sign up as players in MFPL
  • Nobody is prevented from signing up for MFPL and we encourage all rookies and vets alike to partake. However:
  • Players already in MPL can only sign up for and play SV Mono in MFPL if they have not started in SV Mono in MPL prior to Week 4 (if they were subbed in, that means they can still sign up here-only starters for the first 3 weeks cannot play it).
  • Additionally, players in MPL cannot play a tier in MFPL for which they have played at least one game for in MPL by close of MPL Week 3 (MPL Weeks 4+ do not matter for this).
  • There are no exceptions.

Speaking of tiers, here are the tiers for MFPL:

What qualifies you to be a manager?: Won MWP as manager (with Adjustments as my player), won MWCOP going undefeated, have managed MPL8, and am in MPL currently. Adjustments has been a mainstay in Monotype tournaments for a long time now and went far in SV CUP which will balance us out as a manager pair as I'm not as savvy with SV compared to old gens (though I can prep it just fine). We're also both in Monotype Cup playoffs for an extra accolade there. I know there's probably going to be some sort of hesitance due to my dissapearance of last MPL, but I've clarified the situation with forum mods and I'm currently managing RUGL, PUPL, signed up for UUBD manager, and have been active in all team tours I'm currently in, so there's no risk of it happening again. We're both super motivated to manage this tour!

What qualifies you to be a manager? That's a great question. I'm SO glad you asked. I have managed tours such as MPL, MWP, MWCOP, NDMPL, and Monotype BLT (with my comanager Seo). As everyone knows, I have done exceedingly well in all of these tours, NEVER finishing last place and ALWAYS creating a kind, warm, and welcoming environment for my players. I have always made an effort to give new players chances on my teams, resulting in now-Monotype staples such as roxie, jojo, ashbala, juleo, fadedcharm, clean, sapphire, tieracid, and azick. Even if my teams do not always win, I'm always happy to be a launching pad for my players' future success. Seo is another user who has managed tours such as Monotype BLT and MWP and has also participated playing old gens in MPL. With our combined tour experience and passion for finding new talent, I'm CONFIDENT we could create a team that FARMS the rest of the farm league.

What qualifies you to be a manager?: Roxie has been manging tours such as NUPL, MWP and other tournaments in the past. While I have been apart of a bunch different team tours across my year of smogon activity. Highly motivated and dedicated to fostering a great experience if selected to be a manger. I'm active in ever single tour i'm apart of right now and the grind doesn't stop.

I've been an active part of the Monotype community since 2021 and I've participated in the last 3 MPLs consecutively, also having won the previous edition of MWP. Furthermore, I'm a member of the Monotype QC team. RoyalReloaded (or Royal) is an avid member of the community with multiple contributions overtime, who also won the previous edition of MPL. We both have enough tier knowledge to be able to satisfiabily support teams and grant insight into plays, with solid records in Monotype across the board. I'd also like to add the fact that we're on the same team for the current edition of MPL, which helps us collaborate together with much more ease and gives us more opportunity to build solid teams for our would-be players. Managing for this tour will give us the opportunity to showcase both our skills as managers and our tier knowledge across the various generations, and it'll allow us to integrate unfamiliar players with our community in a more efficient way.

What qualifies you to be a manager? 2 times manager in NatDex Wcop for Europe and once in Monotype Wcop. Top 4 Mono Circuit in 2022, NDMPL champion last year and finalist twice in Mono Open. About Leaf nothing to say, they are a nice user (and also Top 8 circuit playoffs 2021, won MPL VII and MWP IV, current #1 SV in the team tour sheet, #2 seed of cup playoffs, managed Brazil team in Mono Wcop III)

I have been more active monotype community this year.I am an Event Host for monotype and have hosted tour nights.I have observed and carefully analyzed the playstyle of the top mono players and have sufficient knowledge of meta game. Furthermore, my homie Shone whom Rhik and I trained for this year pspl(he will like the post for proof), He along with the others have reached semi finals (welp are now against monotype). As I am active, I can also spend time training with new talents and motivating them.I will do my best as a manager if i get selected and will dedicate myself to my work. As for Novax , he has also been pretty active, but in solo tournaments and also has respectable knowledge of the tier. He reached top 24 in mono cup sv. Also did 30+ ladder before mlt. He has also done management in user-hosted tours.We also have been actively part of another community common between us and are close. Thus, we can communicate better with each other and collaborate easily.

What qualifies you to be a manager? frol1 has managed MWP (half of his team got infracted) and MOMPL. I have managed MPL, MWCOP and BLT. All our teams reached playoff in these tours, what has a 3.7% chance to happen. This can only be due to the fact we are super nice people motivating their teammates to do their best :heart:

What qualifies you to be a manager? Me? Well, I managed in the last MWP (won the tour as a first-time manager btw) and am a relatively active member of the community. I'd rather not flex my NUMEROUS accolades to remain humble and not intimidate other potential managers. On the other hand, we have DugZa. There is nothing particularly outstanding about this individual so yeah. Watch Vincenzo guys!!

I am playing in the current mpl+ played last mwp and 2022 mono blt, so I think I have a decent idea of the playerbase, I also shadow managed hpl to semis and a side discord tour to semis. Also had a decent run in sv cup.
