Guys I fucking love ZAMAZENTA, I made a team for ZAMAZENTA but I haven’t been able to get past like 1500


HOLY SHIT ITS ZAMA (Zamazenta) @ Leftovers
Ability: Dauntless Shield
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 Spe
Jolly Nature

The goat himself, very standard set. Sets up ID, Body Presses, Tera Dark crunch against ghost and psychic types. Outspeeds Darkrai and Weavile, you’ve all seen it before.

Zama Support 1 (Rillaboom) @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Wood Hammer
- U-turn
- Drain Punch

Sets Grassy Terrain to give additional support to ZAMAZENTA sweeps, helps with EQ into Glowking, and absolutely nukes anything neutral. Outspeeds Ghold, Speed Ties Hamurott, and makes Great Tusk wet the bed. Just generally very hard to switch into without a good defensive resist. Drain punch for Kingambit and other fighting weak mons I want to catch off guard like Heatran.

Zama Support 2 (Darkrai) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Bad Dreams
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Will-O-Wisp
- Dark Pulse
- Sludge Bomb

NP2AWisp Darkrai, nothing too special. Gives poison as an offensive option, works well as a Tera against Valiant, Enamorus, Meowscarada, and Serperior. Wisps everything for good effect, and scares Ghold off.

Zama Support 3 (Slowking-Galar) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Chilly Reception
- Thunder Wave
- Psyshock
- Flamethrower

Pretty standard Glowking. Slow pivot into sweepers(preferably ZAMAZENTA), Tera Dark to help with Darkrai and Roaring Moon, psyshock whacks Glimmora and Clodsire nicely, and just generally takes those special hits. Had a battle where Tera water specs keldeo ran a number on it, but that’s kinda it in terms of consistency.


Zama Support 4 (Gholdengo) @ Leftovers
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Recover

I’ve really been loving shadow ball dazzling gleam ghold recently, works really well and helps against dark threats and other zamazenta!
Tera fairy goes crazy

Zama Support 5 (Mandibuzz) @ Heavy-Duty Boots

Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature

- Foul Play

I wanted a defogger that gave me another ghost resist, so here we are! Foul play has done me incredibly well, I generally tank most neutral physical hits with it, and has a very impressive showing against DD gouging fire! Extra pivot never hurt anyone, and Tera poison pairs well defensively with grassy terrain!

Strengths: pairs well against teams without a good grass resist or a good fighting resist

weaknesses: stall, well put together teams

Gave it 300 attack to really burst through any ghost and gave it 393 speed to speed creep opposing Zamas if you happen to already have set up so you can body press before they set up since a lot like to speed creep you to get a roar off if you were running roar over sub but still helps with hitting them hard if they try to set up vs you and hit first.

No reason for drain punch the standard set is fine since you have really want knock remove annoying items like rocky helmet or left overs and coverage vs gholdengo and gking, also always go adamant you want max damage, I understand for wanting to hit opposing Heatran, but you would rather u turn to keep the pressure and momentum and switch into your great tusk I’ll be suggesting later in this.

Standard kingambit set, loves terrain to help vs eq n free lefties n can help break stall with Tera dark black glasses you’ll hit hard as hell and can get funny end game clicks and this also gives you a ghost resist as well and always nice to have a second late game cleaner, felt like you want it over darkrai when you have two special attackers already.

Future sight is mandatory on glowking as he can pressure Pokémon is a weird situation where they need to swap to avoid the hit by going a special wall or a dark type which can allow you to let another teammate follow up. T spikes can make progress over time over force them to go into a poison type which allows great tusk to threaten them or force something to get poison, toxic can help vs set up sweepers and sludge bomb for fairies. T wave can be used as well, Tera water is nice vs sun if you need something to pivot and change weather and the def evs allows you to tank two crunches from Zama and get off a toxic or future sight and chilly out or switch in once. You also want to be as slow as possible to get the slower pivot vs other glowkings.

You have no ground immunity and fat dengo is pretty good overall and I am also a huge fan of shadow ball d gleam Tera fairy, I gave enough evs to outspeed jolly kingambit, (even though you have terrain headlong rush ignores it so good to always have as a back up) another option is grassy seed dengo becomes INCREDIBLY FAT and eats hits for days and can be your back up sweeper.

Utility for Zama (Great Tusk) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: fire/ steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Stealth Rock/ temper flare
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner

Standard utility tusk, helps vs raging bolt and gliscor and if you want rapid spin or headlong rush miss you get 140 base power move also great vs skarm and corv, stealth rock if you want some hazards, and boots to always to go into hazards and try to spin. Also always great to have a ground move in teams and tusk loves terrain.

252 Atk Great Tusk Temper Flare vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gholdengo: 320-378 (101.5 - 120%) -- guaranteed OHKO (this is if you miss rapid spin or headlong rush)
