Hi, I've been hovering around 1600s-1700s while laddering with this hazard stack team. I saw oldspicemike's SCL match vs SupaGmoney and my team was heavily inspired by his, but tweaked slightly to my preferences.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 244 HP / 64 Def / 192 SpD / 8 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Facade
- Protect
Swords Dance Gliscor set. I experimented with Fire Fang for a bit, but it's pretty useless, and doesn't even hit the iron birds for much, even at +2. 192 SpD survives a 2HKO from
after stealth rock, which can help with encore mind games. Extra SpD also allows it to tank hits better from other SpA mons like
hex
and
. 8 speed + Jolly allows Gliscor mainly to speed creep
but can also revenge kill
when necessary. Tera normal gives facade STAB boost, as well as giving immunity to hex from
and
as well as avoiding super effective attacks from
and
. Gliscor can also help pressure
and curse
Ting-Lu @ Leftovers
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ruination
- Whirlwind
Standard Ting-Lu set. 8 speed is supposed to surprise speed creep slow mons EV'd for Ting-Lu, though there probably aren't any common scenarios of this. However, it does guarantee you win every speed tie vs opposing Ting-Lus, which came in handy in one of my matches. Ting-Lu's main job is to set up rocks, and to tank hits from strong special attackers like
,
,
and
. Whirlwind can phase out booster energy mons such as
, which allows Meowscarada and Dragapult to deal with them better late game. Ruination can make tons of progress vs pretty much anything.
Meowscarada @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Protean
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flower Trick
- Knock Off
- Triple Axel
- U-turn
Standard Meow. Knock off gets rid of Rocky Helmet/Leftovers from
and
, or Heavy-Duty Boots from
and
, though you risk getting statused. Triple Axel hits Flying/Dragons like
,
,
, or
, in which Meow is a great revenge killer for, thanks to it's partial grass typing. Meow is also a great offensive check to threats such as
,
, and non-scarf
. U-turn allows it to pivot out of
and
. Tera fire allows it to avoid burn, or stay in to attack
Dragapult @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Hex
- U-turn
- Will-O-Wisp
Fast Will-O-Wisps are very helpful in this metagame, allowing you to cripple mons such as
before they spiral out of control. Burns are also very useful on fat mons such as
,
and especially the metal birds
and
, allowing Hex to do significant amounts of damage. U-turn combined with pult's great speed allows it to pivot out of dark types such as non-scarf
,
while chunking them for large amounts of damage. Tera Fairy helps resist Dark/Dragon attacks in a pinch, which can be useful in speed ties vs opposing pults.
Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Roost
The physical wall of the team. Can absorb knocks from mons that threaten Gliscor, such as
or
. Iron Defense allows it to comfortably beat
, non Encore
, Swords Dance
, and non Roar Bulk-Up
. Tera Dragon is supposed to be for
, but I have never clicked it yet. Skarm can sit on the tier's ground types and set up Spikes, though it may want to be careful for Taunt from
or Ruination from
Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Psychic Noise
- Toxic
- Slack Off
- Chilly Reception
Secondary special wall. Slow Chilly Receptions allow pult and meow to get into the field safely, or for Gliscor's Poison Heal to activate. I figured Future Sight support wasn't necessary for the team, and Psychic Noise can easily deal with substitute
. Slowking is tasked with dealing with strong special attackers such as
,
, and
. Toxic's residual damage is useful against common switch-ins such as
, against
and
trying to heal on it, or set-up attackers such as
that can't KO without boosts. Tera Water + Chilly Reception helps alleviate strong weather attackers such as
or Choice Specs
Weaknesses

- Ice type attackers such as Dragon dance
(side note this is the only ice type mon in OU which feels weird) can absolutely destroy this team. You can Toxic the Kyurem with Slowking, but it will still take time for the damage to rack up. Sub + Tect sets are also one crit/freeze away from getting rid of Slowking, which is more likely to happen in the long run. Choice specs sets are more uncommon now, but it will absolutely destroy this time. Swords Dance
is also one Icicle Crash flinch away from having a field day with this team.
- Calm Mind
and
with substitute, tera steel, or even Grassy Seed in
's case can turn Slowking into set-up fodder. If tera is committed, Gliscor can come in and Earthquake, but sometimes it isn't enough.
- Swords Dance
can set up on every defensive mon, or even tera out of the weakness to pult/meow.
- Depending on the set,
and
can cause tons of damage. In
's case, Swords Dance sets can spiral out of control easily. Skarmory can also be a lousy check to
as it can tera water or encore. Pult and meow also don't want to switch into
because Play Rough is super common nowadays.
