Mienfoo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
Level: 5
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 Spe
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- U-turn
The Martial Arts Pokemon fights its way through LC as an excellent revenge killer and sweeper thanks to its strong STAB moves, high Attack stat, and ability to be a surprise revenge killer! High Jump Kick and Close Combat are both used as STAB moves. High Jump Kick is boosted with Reckless, while Close Combat can be used when both its stat drops and the extra Base Power from High Jump Kick are irrelevant; it also allows Mienfoo to reliably revenge kill Pokemon that use Protect like Shellder. Knock Off punishes switch-ins like Foongus and Mareanie, while U-turn allows Mienfoo to pivot out of awkward matchups like the aforementioned Foongus and Mareanie as well as Snubbull. Tera Fighting boosts Mienfoo's STAB attacks, OHKOing opposing Mienfoo and Vullaby after Stealth Rock damage. Mienfoo can struggle to reliably break through Poison-types, so checks to them like Alolan Diglett and Hisuian Growlithe make excellent partners. Other pivots like Vullaby and Hisuian Voltorb can create a powerful VoltTurn core with Mienfoo.
