Mimikyu @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak
- Play Rough

Mimikyu's main role on Fairy teams is a Swords Dance sweeper that performs exceptionally well against Psychic teams, are common in tournaments and can be hard to overcome because of Pokemon such as Celebi and Metagross. A well-played Mimikyu can sweep Psychic teams with ease due to its ability to get up a free Swords Dance using Disguise along with its Ghost STAB. Apart from in the Psychic matchup, it's also a decent setup sweeper against other types such as Dark and Electric that it can sweep if its checks and counters are weakened. Shadow Sneak is particularly useful for sweeping late-game by picking off faster threats. Disguise also allows it to serve as an emergency check to setup sweepers such as Mega Charizard X and Volcarona. Mimikyu synergizes with Fairy teams well; Tapu Koko beats Flying-types such as Celesteela and Skarmory while Tapu Bulu takes on Water-types such as Toxapex and Swampert.

Mimikyu's main role on Fairy teams is a Swords Dance sweeper thats able to perform exceptionally well in the Psychic matchup, which can sometimes be hard for Fairy teams to overcome because of Pokemon such as Celebi and Metagross combined with Psychic's overall high usage in tournament play.
- this is way to much detail and fluff, just cut this section down to the part about sd sweeper that does well vs psychic. keeping the metagross and celebi mention is fine.

Apart from excelling in the Psychic matchup, it's also a decent setup sweeper in other matchups such as Normal and Electric that can aim to sweep if its checks and counters can be weakened, while Disguise also allows it to serve as an emergency check to setup sweepers such as Mega Charizard X and Volcarona for the Fairy team.

* talk about its ability to clean late-game with boosted Shadow Sneak

Mimikyu synergizes with the rest of the Fairy team well; Tapu Koko is able to beat Pokemon such as Celesteela that Mimikyu may have trouble against as well as bringing Mimikyu in with its pivoting moves, Tapu Bulu being another strong wallbreaker that can take on types such as Poison, Ground and Water, while Mimikyu, in return, is able to break past bulky Psychic-type Pokemon such as Celebi and Jirachi that the Fairy team may have trouble against. Mega Diancie, Clefable, and Klefki are all able to support Mimikyu using their hazards, which are useful for whittling down Mimikyu's checks while paving the way for it to sweep.
- this focuses too much on teammates as well. I would cut this down a lot, just mention how tapu koko can beat Flying-types like steela/skarm for mimikyu and bulu can break bulky waters like pex and swampert for it.
