Mimikyu is a niche setup sweeper whose viability stems from its ability Disguise, which guarantees it a free turn of setup against any foe and can even let it revenge kill faster foes like Hydreigon, Terrakion, and Keldeo. Unfortunately, Mimikyu is not very strong even after a Swords Dance boost, failing to adequately deal with walls like Corviknight, Hippowdon, and Toxapex. A Jolly nature is preferred for allowing Mimikyu to outspeed foes such as Obstagoon, Kyurem, and Excadrill, although Adamant can be used instead to potentially 2HKO Corviknight and Hippowdon at +2.

Mimikyu is best suited on very offensive teams that can rapidly overwhelm its checks through sheer firepower. Mew is an essentially mandatory partner for its Spikes support, which helps weaken Pokemon like Hippowdon and Toxapex and put them in 2HKO range. Pairing Mimikyu with strong Ghost-types like Dragon Dance Dragapult and Swords Dance Aegislash is an effective way to wear down shared checks. Similarly, other setup sweepers like Bisharp, Necrozma, and Hawlucha can help overwhelm Mimikyu checks like Toxapex and Hippowdon.

A Jolly nature is preferred for allowing Mimikyu to outspeed foes such as Obstagoon, Kyurem, and Excadrill, although Adamant can be used instead for the increase in power. What's the increase in power useful for? I think you should note the chance to 2HKO physically defensive Corviknight and Hippowdon at +2.

Mimikyu is best suited on very offensive teams that can rapidly overwhelm its checks through sheer firepower. If you're using Mimikyu, you have to use Spikes in some capacity, typically through Mew, as it won't apply any pressure otherwise. Pairing Mimikyu with strong Ghost-types like Dragapult and Aegislash is an effective way to wear down shared checks. You may want to specify Dragon Dance Dragapult and Swords Dance Aegislash, as they're really the only sets that fit on the same teams as Mimikyu. Similarly, other setup sweepers like Bisharp, Necrozma, and Hawlucha can help overwhelm Mimikyu checks like Toxapex and Hippowdon.
