[OVERVIEW]

Gourgeist-XL does everything Gourgeist-L does except better, as its higher bulk lets it wall threats such as Kangaskhan and Shiftry more effectively. Aside from its better Speed tier, which is useful to burn targets before being KOed, there is really no reason to use Gourgeist-L at all.

Gourgeist-L does have a small niche over its larger cousin in its ability to outspeed Jellicent, Aggron, and Aurorus, among others. Unfortunately, it sacrifices quite a bit of bulk in order to do so, making it much easier to wear down with attacks. As such, you'll want to use Gourgeist-XL for its higher bulk.

Please keep in mind the quality control tag is for analyses that are ready to be checked, this should be marked as WIP. Regardless, someone decided we could actually make the set better in an obvious way so please change the EV spread to EVs: 72 HP / 252 Def / 184 Spe. The one relevant thing this has over XL is the speed so we might as well have it creep jellicent, aggron, aurorus, etc.

Completely outclassed by its larger cousin. Gourgeist-XL does everything Gourgeist-L does except better. Use that instead. (ngl you need to improve this. Why is gourgeist-xl the better choice over Gourgeist-L. And what does xl do better than gourgeist l you need to elaborate more, like 2 sentences ending it off with "use that instead" isn't good enough imo)

(you explain this in detail afterward so this sentence seems completely unneeded) Gourgeist-XL does everything Gourgeist-L does except better, due to its higher bulk letting it wall threats such as Stoutland and Scyther more effectively (please include better examples here. stoutland beats it with facade if it comes in on wisp and cb scyther straight 2-taps it) Aside from its better speed tier, there is really no reason to use Gourgeist-L at all.

As such, rather than using this cheap imitation, you'll want to use the real Gourgeist-XL for its higher bulk. (I know these changes seem nitpicky but i feel like it fits the analysis better since it's essentially gourg-xl with worse hp and a better speed tier, and as such should more concise)

Aside from its better speed tier which is useful why?, there is really no reason to use Gourgeist-L at all.

It's surprisingly hard to find good examples of things Gourgeist-XL walls that Gourgeist-L doesn't. I think Shiftry is an alright example: even Swords Dance variants can't consistently 3HKO Gourgeist-XL with an unboosted Knock Off due to Colbur Berry, whereas they consistently 3HKO Large with the berry and 2-tap it without it.
