Overview
########

  • Fast with access to Taunt and Destiny Bond
  • some nice immunity and resists let it take on most entry hazard setters
  • can pull off both offensive and bulkier set easily
  • one of the best spinblocker
  • Stallbreaker
  • Immunity to Sticky Web, Spikes and Toxic Spikes
  • isn't really bulky on the physical side

Offensive
########
name: Offensive
move 1: Taunt
move 2: Shadow Ball
move 3: Dazzling Gleam
move 4: Nasty Plot / Destiny Bond
ability: Levitate
item: Colbur Berry / Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========

  • Taunt to prevent entry hazards and threats from setting up
  • Shadow Ball, STAB
  • Dazzling Gleam, good neutral coverage with Shadow Ball
  • Nasty Plot to boost and punch bigger holes in the opponent's team.
  • Destiny Bond is amazing to take down a threat, and works well along with Taunt.

Set Details
========

  • Max Speed.
  • Colbur Berry allows Mismagius to survive Sucker Punch, Knock Off, and Pursuit more easily. Mismagius is still not the most physically bulky Pokemon ever, so don't expect it to survive every STAB Dark-type moves with a Colbur Berry.
  • Life Orb for more power.

Usage Tips
========

  • anti-lead
  • Use Taunt to prevent sweepers from setting up, or entry hazards users from setting up hazards. Also stops walls from phazing Mismagius out or crippling it with Toxic, etc.
  • Shadow Ball is the move Mismagius will use the most as it has nice neutral coverage in NU.
  • Click Dazzling Gleam to hit incoming Dark-types or to weaken Normal-types a bit.
  • If Mismagius is using Nasty Plot, use it when you know it can take a hit or two from the opponent or if you predict the opponent to switch out. This will allow Mismagius to punch bigger holes in the opponent's team.
  • If Mismagius is using Destiny Bond, use it when you know Mismagius is about to faint to remove a threat, which can potentially open up the way for its teammates.

Team Options
========

  • *insert leads* Crustle, Lead Rampardos, Qwilfish.
  • *insert HO teammates* Kangaskhan, Feraligatr, Lilligant, Sceptile, Pawniard, Slurpuff, etc.
ik there's not a lot in team options, but idt there's a lot to talk about lol

Stallbreaker
########
name: Stallbreaker
move 1: Taunt
move 2: Will-O-Wisp
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Pain Split
ability: Levitate
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========

  • Taunt to prevent entry hazards and threats from setting up
  • Will-O-Wisp to cripple stuff, weaken physical attackers, etc.
  • Shadow Ball for STAB.
  • Pain Split is used for recovery.

Set Details
========

  • Outspeeds Max Speed base 100s (its mainly for Typhlosion and Ninetales so that they can't just switch on Mismagius on a Will-O-Wisp and force it out. Outspeeding Typhlosion and Ninetales along with entry hazards will let Mismagius potentially beat them if its worn down) and maximise bulk.

Usage Tips
========

  • Use Taunt to prevent entry hazards, recovery, Defog, status, or set ups.
  • Will-O-Wisp threats (physical attackers, or just to cripple a wall or a special attacker to wear them down).
  • Pain Split when low on health.
  • Use Shadow Ball if the opponent can be OHKOed or 2HKOed by it, or to hit incoming Fire-types. Can be used if Mismagius just needs to do some damage on a threat to allow its teammates to beat it.
  • Make sure to not switch on a Toxic or Thunder Wave as it will cripple Mismagius (Toxic puts it on a timer, and Thunder Wave makes it slower, which stops it from preventing entry hazards / set ups / Defog)

Team Options
========

  • *insert balance teams teammates that sets up entry hazards* Seismitoad, Garbodor, Roselia, Rhydon, Qwilfish.
  • *insert stuff like thats this set's support* Gurdurr can set up on most Dark-types, Klinklang likes to set up on physical attackers that Mismagius will most likely burn with Will-O-Wisp, SubCM Uxie can set up more easily if Mismagius burned the opponent's Dark-type, etc.

Other Options
########

  • Choice Specs with Trick and Nasty Plot
  • Calm Mind.
  • Perish Song can be a nice option on the Stallbreaker set if you wish to use it on a Stall team as it will give your team a win condition and a way to beat last Pokemon CM Xatu or Uxie.
  • Hex on the Stallbreaker set as it works well along with Will-O-Wisp.
  • Thunderbolt, Hidden Power Fighting (makes Mismagius use an imperfect Speed IVs, so it won't be able to speed tie with other base 105s), and Energy Ball can be used to hit specific targets (Hidden Power Fighting can OHKO Pawniard, and with a Nasty Plot boost and Life Orb it can 2HKO Audino. Thunderbolt along with Shadow Ball gives good neutral coverage, but doesn't hit Dark-types, Fighting-types, and Dragon-types like Altaria as hard as Dazzling Gleam. Energy Ball hits Seismitoad, Rhydon, does more to Feraligatr, Lanturn, Sandslash, and Kabutops).
  • Choice Scarf faces competition from other Choice Scarf Ghost-types such as Haunter and Rotom. It's also weak, but is an option over Choice Specs for a Trick + Nasty Plot set since it let you use Mismagius to revenge kill stuff instead of having more power.

Checks & Counters
########
  • Keep in mind that if Mismagius carry Destiny Bond, it can easily take down these checks or counters by using it before fainting to support its team, so play safe around it.
  • PYROAR
  • Other Fire-types with good special bulk can check Stallbreaker Mismagius since it isn't as powerful as the offensive set.
  • Liepard, Choice Scarf Pangoro, Pawniard, and Cacturne (note that Cacturne, Pangoro, and Liepard takes a ton from Dazzling Gleam) are good checks. Sneasel can trap it with Pursuit, and has 75% chance to OHKO Colbur Berry Mismagius with Knock Off (Jolly Life Orb Sneasel).
  • Choice Scarf users such as Rotom, Jynx, and Mesprit can revenge kill it if Mismagius got worn down a bit if they switch on it safely.
  • Strong physical attackers that can take a hit from Mismagius such as Choice Band Torterra, Feraligatr, Kangaskhan, and Hariyama can easily OHKO (or close to) Mismagius, but be aware that they won't enjoy taking a burn against the Stallbreaker set.
  • Faster Pokemon such as Sceptile and Archeops can check it

u horse

maybe you could explain why specs deserves it and give me the whole set instead of calling me a horse smh, i will need to test it a bit. i guess its sball trick dgleam coverage? or do i go cased innovation and run NP+trick

and the main use of specs seems to be to cripple audino and have strong Shadow Ball, but TauntDbond LO Mismagius can do that too =/, Stallbreaker can beat it, etc. Does this analyse need another set that can cripple or beat Audino? heck I think Audino still wins against Specs Mismagius, while other sets either faint with it or beats it with Taunt + Wisp + Pain Split / Teammates. like sure specs is good, ence why i have it in OO, but I really don't think its on the same level as the other sets. I will test it tho

ye ima change it to 100s for typh and stuff, as for np vs dbond idk. i will make np first for now both i will def talk about how both are really good options and that it all depends on what you need mismagius to beat/do

it cripples its counters without being weak like the stall breaker set

as for dbond its ok but it conflicts with the idea of colbur so np should be listed before it

I think perhaps Colbur should be slashed on the second set as well to take knock off's better

e; correct me if im wrong.

thats not really the point of the Stall Breaker set, it needs the extra recovery from lefties and can already take a knock off from Audino. Anything else that could kill it with Knock Off gets burned and then pain splited

The only Specs Magius set I see working is a Nasty Plot + Trick set; Magius's only good / spammable move is Shadow Ball, meaning it either hits traditional switch-ins with weak coverage that leaves it heavily prone to being setup on (other Magius sets aren't as easy to be taken advantage of), or is inclined to Trick its Specs immediately. If Magius has Nasty Plot, it gets to keep its power and not be outclassed by Haunter, which is stronger and has additional STAB (meaning 'not easy Pyroar switch-in' :P).

Just watch a Simisear setup on the Second Set xD
I wish you would let me bash your sets more :I 2gud for me
The only OOs I can think of ATM are Focus Sash and HP Ice. Really not wurf lol, but I honestly think HP Fighting deserves to be slashed after Dazzling Gleam to better deal with Pawniards, Probopass, and Ferroseeds, but hey that's me.
Hex slashed on the second set after Shadow Ball seems good.

I will be working on this tonight. I talked with some people and I am gonna keep Choice Specs in OO (with a good mention) as it isn't as threatening as the two other set and Mismagius wants to be able to switch up moves.

cellgoondude Hidden Power Fighting does similar damage as Shadow Ball against Ferroseed (60x2 = 120, 80x1.5 = 120), Probopass can't really touch Mismagius, and Pawniard isn't really something you want to stay in on and +2 Dazzling Gleam or Shadow Ball 2HKO Pawniard anyway iirc. It does have its uses with Life Orb to 2HKO Audino (need to double check with calcs) and to hit Pyroar, which is why I have it in OO. What do you need HP Ice for? and Mismagius won't always lead turn 1 and will often be switching on stuff, so I can't see Focus Sash being useful.

  • Destiny Bond is amazing to take down a threat, and works well along with Taunt.
  • Nasty Plot to boost and punch bigger holes in the opponent's team .
Switch this around according to your set order.

Maybe mention some special attackers in Team Options for offensive Mismagius, since they can weaken special walls for each other. Dark- and Ghost-resistant Pokemon can make good teammates too.

Calm Mind in OO. Mention that HP Fighting requires an imperfect Speed IV. Scarf is weak as hell, I'd probably remove it.

Mention that Colbur Berry also weakens Pursuit, and likewise list Pursuit users in C&C (such as Sneasel).

Stallbreaker's Usage Tips needs to mention that Taunt also prevents recovery (which is what makes it a stallbreaker in the first place lol).

QC 1/3

will do

im also gonna add scarf back in oo and will make sure to explain that it faces lots of competition (it has uses and can surprise some opponents)

In OO when you talk about attacks like energy ball, hp fighting, and thunderbolt, Make sure you mention that these arent gimmicky like most things mentioned in OO are. Otherwise, 3/3
