Hey guys, I know some of you play Halo 3. I have been on a break from it, but I used to be really into MLG and H3. I got a DVD recorder and an Editing program and decided to make a Montage. Its my own editing and gameplay and took a long time to get it the way I wanted because I had never edited before. Additionally the gameplay spans about a year and a half. Its not super flashy, but I hope its entertaining.

If you guys would check it out, I'd be grateful as its nice to get feedback and suggestions, should I make another.

If you guys like it, hate it, think I need to have more sick overkills, appreciate the "smart" or "clever" plays that aren't as flashy, Or have any editing comments or suggestions, post em here and/or on the video.

I shouldn't have to load what is seriously a minute-long intro just to get to the actual video. Put that shit at the end.
 
I've seen a quite a few halo montages, this had some highlights, and it should have been kept to them. It really was too long and I lost interest quickly, there were some clips in there that were not all that amazing and could have been cut, but otherwise it was a good effort.
 
I appreciate the constructive criticism.

I know some of the clips weren't the greatest I was a bit strapped for clips as I don't play a very aggressive play style.

Any clips in particular you liked, any you didnt like?
 
A single player Montage shouldn't be that long, as you said you were strapped for clips, then should've put it to 4 minutes tops. Quality is always better than Quantity

Not the best, but not bad for a first attempt :D
 
I don't like how the majority of the clips were team slayer matches. For being such an avid MLG follower, you yourself know how incredibly easy it is to rack up overkills with shotguns on Epilogue or wherever it was. As an MLG fan and playlist player myself, I didn't find a large majority of those clips montage material, although there were certainly a few decent ones. The beginning was a tad extreme, but I otherwise liked the editing.

As a pretty awesome sidenote, you killed my girlfriend's sister ("AnNaMolllY) in the isolation clip at 6:35 (yes, she actually plays Halo 3).
 
That is a pritty awesome side note!!! She must have been playing against my Brother, an my brothers friend. I don't remember much about that game haha.

TBH I don't think the playlist matters to much, as long as the clip isn't completely lackluster. For example, the double No-scope bulltrue was one of my fav clips, and it was on LW, which I don't play that often. But the play itself wasn't any less impressive. As long as I'm not just running circles around people using assault rifles in the lower level playlist, It doesn't detract as much.

Also I don't have as many MLG clips, because I take it more seriously, so I don't play as aggressively.

The Shotgun Killtac/rocket only made it, because, well it was a killtac.

In addition, most of the Slayer Clips we're on Teams of 4, in the 45 range on the playlist.

Anyways, we're there any particular clips, or editing pieces you guys enjoyed? My personal favorites are the triple kill with the sword onwhat was basically a Beta version of "MLG Blackout" when it was first released. It was the first time I had ever done that jump backwards with such ease, and It was in a custom with people much better than me at the time. I think the kills themselves weren't the main focus but rather the fact that I used the jump so well and also my teammates indicator (which was flashing orange) to determine there was a player above me. My other favorite clip is where I jumped off my teammates head got the double, and I just got that feeling I could get a no-scope for a triple so I rush my ass of to get the sniper. Pick it up and get a flawless no-scope, LITERALLY 4.1 seconds after the double so its just a kill, I know from my brothers callout there was a dude on open and get a perfect quick scope. What you don't know is, I was so upset I got bullshitted out of the triple I missed what would have been a killtrocity (6 kills) which could have been a double headshot had I been patient enough and possibly a killamanjaro. It would have been the sickest clip I'd ever seen.
