Ok so I'm entering a "Theme" Tournament and I was wondering if this time is any good with the limits placed upon it.
1: NO weather of any sorts
2: NO more than 3 pokes per tier.
3: NO Trick Room or Gravity
4: The theme CANNOT be Monotype, Monocolor, Rainbow, Weather, Trick Room, Gravity, Region, Tier, Eeveelution, or any other in game mechanic/Pokemon related theme (Gary's team, Cynthia's team, etc)
I chose my Theme as Batman and I was wondering if there were any glaring weaknesses.
Just FYI, this won't be an amazingly perfect team, just something that fits under the guidelines of the certain "theme".
Bane (Conkeldurr) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Guts
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Payback
Thinking of making him Choice Band just to make him be more like Bane's character, but Conkeldurr after 1 Bulk Up can reach 624 Attack, and if I bring him in on a Will-o-Wisp it skyrockets to over 900(0)! Mach Punch works great at revenge killing and Drain Punch is a solid form of Recovery. Payback can hit hard on Psychic types that are expected to come in.
Batman (Gliscor) (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Ice Fang
An AMAZING physical wall/staller with Protect. I can usually take at least 1-2 Pokes per match with him after a boost or two. +2 Ice Fang can easily mow down opposing Gliscors and Earthquake gets the ever handy STAB.
Clayface (Claydol) @ Leftovers

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
My hazard setup and my spinner. Can take physical hits very well, but I'm probably going to make it a Special Wall as Gliscor is a much better Physical Wall in my opinion. Earthquake gets STAB and Ice Beam for other Ground types. But I'm thinking of getting Toxic as I have Ice Fang on Gliscor.
KillerCroc (Feraligatr) (M) @ Life Orb

EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
I chose Jolly over Adamant for that extra speed boost to revenge kill slower Pokes. A boost from Dragon Dance puts his speed up pretty high. Earthquake takes down almost all Electric types in one hit, Ice Punch is for Grass types and Waterfall for his strongest STAB.
Penguin (Empoleon) (M) @ Choice Specs

EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Seems like I have a lot of Dual types on this team... Anyways, most people have expected Agility and try to phase me out, so when they get hit by a Specs Hydro Pump for example, it will take them down pretty far. Hidden Power Fire is to hit Skarm and other steel types. Grass not hits other Bulky waters pretty damn hard, and Ice beam is for flying/dragon/grass. Hydro Pump over Surf cuz I like the epic damage.
Scarecrow (Cacturne) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 28 Def / 28 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Substitute
Substitute on a predicted switch, Swords Dance, then Sucker Punch. If the hit is un-resisted then it will do a LOT of damage. If I can stay behind a Sub for a couple turns to get an extra boost I can pull of a mini sweep at the very least.
Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!
