Slowking-Galar @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 92 SpA / 164 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Sludge Bomb
My SpDef Wall. Future Sight is always great combined with Regenerator to set up and switch out if needed. Right now my biggest issue is Heatran if Nidoking can't handle it before fainting, and I can't figure out another way to try to deal it. Ice beam is for dragons and ground like Hydreigon. Scald as just a water type for Heatran/ground and Sludge Bomb for stab. Open to suggestions if you have a build w/o assault vest, but I really like the tankiness it provides. Also my EVs are a bit arbitrary. Also debating switching out for Tentacruel, but I already have Toxapex and the neutrality to Psychic is nice.
Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Baneful Bunker
- Haze
- Ice Beam
- Scald
My Defensive wall. Although I wish it could deal more damage, its great at taking hits. My only issue is usually steel types, specifically Excadrill. If it's fast and has Earthquake it can almost sweep my team and I feel like Toxapex should be the solution to that, so please lmk. Crobat at least has immunity to ground and Heat Wave, but one rock or two rock moves and I have to come back to Toxapex.
Nidoking (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Sucker Punch
- Earth Power
My medium speed glass cannon. I really have debating replacing Nidoking because it just dies a lot. I used to use Life Orb, but Focus sash has at least let it finish off a few more mons from what I've experienced. The problem is there are so many hazards and I don't have a way to deal with them right now, so let me know if theres a good way to bulk up or make faster that I'm not thinking off. I've also tried Scarfing, but I lose way more often since Nidoking's strength is it's coverage letting me predict switch ins. I typically rely on Nidoking for Steel teams with Earth Power and Flamethrower and then Thunderbolt for Celesteela or Corviknight. Sucker punch can be weirdly handy, but only because I don't think I have any other mon that can learn a priority move. I did have Toxicroak on at one point and loved it with sucker punch so lmk if you think you know a suitable replacement on my team for it to come back.
Drapion @ Leftovers
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Brick Break
- Knock Off
- Whirlwind
- Toxic Spikes
Really like this guy. Immunity to Psychic is key and he can bust screens, knock off items and set up spikes. He's a bulky guy who can almost always take two hits. I wish he was a little bulkier, and please me know if I should be allocation EVs better for this guy, becuase I just made him to take hits in general and fuck up other people's leads. Dark type is also great for pranksters so he's a great lead if I see one.
Roserade @ Wide Lens
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Sleep Powder
- Toxic Spikes
- Leech Seed
My typical lead. Roserade throws out some sleep powder and set up tox spikes or switches out. Also like the Neutral ground coverage. This could be replaced by Amoongus, but I like Roserade's speed so most mons don't get a move in. It's main weakness from leads seems to be Psychic moves, but I can usually predict that and switch in Dropion which also works as a lead so it's very nice in that regard.
Crobat @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Dark Pulse
- Nasty Plot
- Heat Wave
My favorite pokemon luckily has a lot of use. It's ground immunity and myriad of 4x resistances is fantastic, but I'm debating switching it back to a physical mon with no item, Acrobatics, Taunt, Defog, and U-turn, but I wish it knew swords dance or a priority move or had better coverage. I am also debaitng switching dark pulse for defog, but dark pulse has been handy with it being 100 accurate while the rest of the moves aren't.
