ORAS OU Mixed OU TEAM with Mega Lopunny and Heatmor!!!

Hi everyone!! This was a team I made a few days ago after I breed my first Masuda Method shiny in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Heatmor!! I realized that with Heatmor's large movepool but slow speed he may be a decent wall-breaker. So this is the team I built around him...

Heatmor / Gastrodon / Forretress / Mega Lopunny / Jolteon / Landorus-Therian

I am all prepared to start breeding this team in ORAS, but I wanted to see what the Smogon community thought first. I have battled 10 times with this team on Showdown going 7-3. Any kind and constructive criticism would be really appreciated as I really like this team, find it super fun to use and want to see if function at its full potential. This is also the first real team that I have built so expect and excuse any noob mistakes you find. Thanks for reading this and helping me out!!

And now to the Team.......

Heatmor
Nickname: Grandfather
Item: Life Orb
Ability Flash Fire
Rash Nature
252 Sp. Attack / 56 Attack / 200 Speed Evs
Moveset:
Fire Blast / Giga Drain / Sucker Punch / Superpower

As I said before the purpose of Heatmor is to wallbreak. He doesn't have enough Special Attack to sweep but as long as he breaks down walls, it alllows my team's sweepers more freedom. Flash fire provides safe and free switches into fire types that otherwise threaten my Forretress. Fire Blast is Heatmor's strongest Stab move and is worth the lowered accuracy in order for him to hit harder. Giga Drain and Superpower provide nice type coverage to Heatmor's weaknesses and allow him to recover some HP too. Sucker Punch is a nice move for Heatmor becasue it allows him to knock out sweepers that are a a low HP and people don't expect the priority. The most amazing thing about Heatmor is that most people have no idea what this thing is going to do and I think that is why it works pretty well.

Gastrodon
Nickname: Illluminatiii
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sticky Hold
Calm Nature
252 Sp. Defense / 252 HP / 4 Sp. Attack EVs
Moveset:
Scald / Recover / Toxic / Protect

Gastrodon is on this team as a Special wall because of it's amazing typing. With only a grass weakness I have to safe switches to either Forretress or even Heatmor. This is a pretty standard Toxic stall set and I chose this set because my team otherwise lacked status inflicting ability. In my battles on Showdown I noticed that Gastrodon was always being switched into a Knock Off, so to fight this I gave Gastrodon Sticky Hold so that its longevity increases and so I always have a safe switch into Knock Off.

Forretress
Nickname: Castle
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
Impish Nature
252 Defense / 252 HP / 4 Attack EVs
Moveset:
Stealth Rock / Spikes / Rapid Spin / Gyro Ball

Forretress is my designated Hazard Setter. He was chosen over the OU Ferrothorn because he can Rapid Spin. Having Forretress on my team baits my opponent to lead with a Pokemon that either has Taunt/Magic Bounce or can put immediate pressure on Forretress. What this allows me to do is predict what my opponent will lead with and counter him, as I will never lead with Forretress. Stealth Rocks and Spikes are necessary for Heatmor to effectively wall break and my sweepers to pick up easy knockouts. I also felt that Foretress fit right into my core because his and Gastrodon's quad weaknesses are counteracted.

lopunny-mega.gif

Mega Loppuny
Nickname: Kisses
Item: Lopunnite
Ability: Limber / Scrappy
Adamant Nature
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 Sp. Defense EVs
Moveset:
Fake Out / Ice Punch / Drain Punch / High Jump Kick

Mega Loppuny is the biggest Physical hitter on this team and is one of my primary sweepers. Lopunny is one of the fastest Megas in the game and will only get out sped by scarfers and Mega Aerodactyl, Mega Alakazam, Mega Beedril, and Mega Sceptile. The reason I chose Lopunny is that he is the bulkiest Mega of the ones listed above. So most of the time he will be able to take a neutral hit, and KO back. This is a pretty standard moveset with Drain Punch for reliable recovery and Ice Punch for Garchomp and Dragonite/ any other Dragon types out there.

135.gif

Jolteon
Nickname: Mayhem
Item: Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
Modest Nature
252 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP EVs
Moveset:
Volt Switch / Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball / Signal Beam

The next speedy sweeper on the team is Jolteon. Jolteon is very fast and outspeeds most of the tier. Because of this I gave him Choice Specs and made his nature Modest so he could hit everything as hard as possibe. Other than that this is a very common set, with Shadow ball and Signal Beam for coverage. Volt Switch allows me to pivot and combined with Landorus-Therian I have a Volt-Turn combo that allows me to punish everytime my opponent switches.

645-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian
Nickname: Clout
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
Naughty Nature
252 Attack / 24 Sp. Attack / 232 Speed EVs
Moveset:
U-turn / Earthquake / Stone Edge / Psychic

The last member of the team is Landorus-Therian. This Landorus is usually who I lead with and mostly acts as a pivot. Because of this I gave him a pretty standard moveset with one minor altercation. I gave him Psychic to catch Fighting types like Conkeldurr and other Mega Lopunny's on the switch. It is also helpful to handling defensive Mega Venusaur. I really felt I had nothing to handle fighting type Pokemon so this was the best solution I could think of.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that is my team. Again please feel free to offer some constructive criticism and any other helpful tips and tricks. I really am interested in getting better at competitive battling and I want to become really good with this team. Thank you in advance for all of your help!! And have Fun!!

Seconding what KidMagic already said and along with that, a lot of the things you are using are honestly just not that good. For example, heatmor is basically directly outclassed by TONS of stuff. Typhlosion is just a straight up better version in basically every possible way, heatrans even better and gets steel typing, houndour is as good or better in everything except physical bulk and it's SLIGHTLY weaker on the physical side (but gets stab sucker punch), etc.. No offense, it's just that they are super outclassed.

One thing I don't agree with is subCM raikou, as I don't find it to be that great of a wincon. I would run your standard specs or AV set. but other than that, I think that sounds good. You could instead run sub PuP loppuny as your wincon. Good luck, Hope this helps!

Your teams creative, but a few flaws. First your lando is fine but psychic isnt very good, so knock off? Theres no need for spa. Jolteon isnt that good but can be so Jolteon>Zapdos>Thunderus.
Foretress needs custap berry. Mabey gastrodos for Keldeo either Specs or Scarf. Heatmore is ass, so something else like heatran or bisharp. One more thing Lopunny needs Return of Frustration. Your weak against well played stall and Diance and Bisharp answell as Sableye. Gl with laddering.

Thank you KidMagic, MaestroDeSWAG, and Searing Victory for all the suggestions. One this I forgot to mention in the post was that this team was inspired by a tournament the GBA is hosting on Sunday. The challenge was all teams in the tournament had to have a Pokemon from each tier, which is why most of my team member can be outclassed. But I want to make this team competitive for just OU so here are the changes I've made based on you guy's suggestions.

Lopunny in now Jolly and has Return and Power Up Punch replacing Drain punch and Ice punch

Loppuny (Kisses)
Jolly
Limber / Scrappy
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP EVs
Moveset
Fake Out / Return / Power-Up-Punch / High Jump Kick

I changed Forretress with Defog Scizor to add a revenge killer to act as a faster Forretress. I like this suggestion because Scizor is not as predicable as Forretress is.

Scizor (Red Ranger)
Careful
Technician
248 HP / 60 Defense / 200 Sp. Defense EVs
Moveset
Defog / U-Turn / Roost / Bullet Punch

I also changed Landorus to Jirachi, because it indeed does help with my fighting and fairy type weaknesses.

Jirachi (Miracle)
Jolly
Serene Grace
252 Attack / 4 Sp. Defense / 252 Speed EVs
Moveset
Iron Head / U-turn / Zen Headbutt / Ice Punch

Last but not least Gastrodon was replaced by a faster and overall more bulky Seismitoad.

Seismitoad (Coach)
Bold
Water Absorb
248 HP / 140 Def / 92 Sp. Defense / 28 Speed EVs
Moveset
Knock Off / Stealth Rock / Earth Power / Scald

I'v decided to Keep Jolteon because I feel it can switch into Rotom better because of Volt Absorb and can still sweep and I'v wall broke my opponents team.

I'm very torn about the Mixed Infernape replacing my beloved Heatmor. Yes it is better, but the surprise of an NU pokemon Sucker Punching and one shotting an Espeon is just so amusing to me. For laddering purposes I definately will switch to Mixed Infernape

Infernape (Hideyoshi)
Rash
Blaze
156 Attack / 100 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed
Moveset
Grass Knot / Gunk Shot / Fire Blast / Close Combat

Team in full:

Infernape (Hideyoshi)
Rash
Blaze
156 Attack / 100 Sp. Attack / 252 Speed
Moveset
Grass Knot / Gunk Shot / Fire Blast / Close Combat

Loppuny (Kisses)

Limber / Scrappy
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP EVs
Moveset
Fake Out / Return / Power-Up-Punch / High Jump Kick

Scizor (Red Ranger)
Careful
Technician
248 HP / 60 Defense / 200 Sp. Defense EVs
Moveset
Defog / U-Turn / Roost / Bullet Punch

Jirachi (Miracle)

Serene Grace
252 Attack / 4 Sp. Defense / 252 Speed EVs
Moveset
Iron Head / U-turn / Zen Headbutt / Ice Punch

Jolteon (Mayhem)

Moveset

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just want to thank everyone again for their suggestions and if you have anymore please tell me!! Thanks again and Have Fun!!!!

Also, just for formatting purposes, when writing your sets, they should be posted like this:

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind

Slashes for moves means it's an alternative option, so using it to represent your actual set, not just other options, looks really weird.
