Mixed Team

Hey this is the first team I've had a good win streak with, but I can't consistently get wins. I'm wondering if you guys have any tips on tweaking my team for more consistency.

Drapion

Item: Leftovers
Ability: Battle Armour
Nature: Careful

I'm using Drapion mostly just to lay down Toxic Spikes, but Drapion is infact a great baton pass chain breaker, due to whirlwind. I find Drapion really effective because of it's bulk, but it doesn't have many other strengths apart from Toxic Spikes, Whirlwind, and bulk.

Conkeldurr

Item: Leftovers
Ability: Guts
Nature: Brave

EV's: 120 HP, 252 Atk, 136 SpD

I used to use Lucario, but he wasn't really an effective asset to my team, he was easily killed by any pokemon with Earthquake. Now that I have Conkeldurr on my team I can easily KO pokemon after using Bulk up, and if I use it more than once the opponent almost has no chance of breaking down my Conkeldurr, of course a strong special attacking pokemon could destroy my Conkeldurr, but my team is now a lot more stable.

Metagross

Item: Air Balloon
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Jolly
Moveset:
Agility
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
ThunderPunch
EV's: 52 Hp, 252 Atk, 204 Spe

Metagross is my physical bulk, and my second physical attacker. Not much to say about Metagross, it's been doing fairly well, maybe a few things I need to change to make Metagross a more effective attacker, but I've been doing alright defending with Metagross, I just need to watch out for ground type moves.

Latios

Item: Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid

EV's: 252 SpA, 4 SpD, 252 Spe

I switched Gengar with Latios, I am now finding it a lot easier to counter other dragons, and with such a versitile moveset I can use him to KO other pokemon. Latios>Gengar because of better all round stats, and all round stats. I can counter many pokemon with Latios, and out speed many, I don't get KO'd as easily as with Gengar.

Umbreon

I would almost not consider changing a thing about my Umbreon, it's working perfectly. Part of the reason Umbreon is so successful is Drapion's Toxic Spikes. Umbreon has not only been amazing for resisting special attacks, but also physical attacks. I have definitely used Umbreon to it's maximum potential.

I changed Mew with Azelf, Azelf's speed helps me utilize the varieties of special attacks, and with Nasty plot it Azelf becomes a really threatening special attacker.

I am aware that my team has some flaws like; most players with a ground pokemon could devastate my team, and to counter those pokemon I would need at least one grass type move, but I'm not sure where to incorporate it.
Anyway please leave some suggestions, anything will be muchly appreciated.

(Edited) Replaced Lucario with Conkeldurr. Replaced Gengar with Latios. Replaced Mew with Azelf.
 
Hi, your team lacks many resistances water fire elec. I also see that Scizor after a SD will nail most of your team bar Metagross. Your weakest links seem to Umbreon and Drapion. Close combat over high jump kick on Lucario and Extremespeed would be nice for some priority.
 
Hey nice team. I noticed that a Scrafty can take care of most of your team using stab moves. For Lucario, I would recommend the standard Bulk Up Conkeldurr. It has insane power and can wreck with Guts. For Gengar I would recommend Latios. The set I would use is HP Fire(For Scizor and pokemon like Ferrothorn) Psyshock(Can rape those Blisseys and special walls) Dragon Pulse/ Draco Meteor and Surf. This set can work really well and helps your weakness'.
Summary:
Lucario->Standard Bulk Up Conkeldurr
Gengar->Latios with Choice Specs
Timid 252 evs Sp Atk/Spd 4 Hp
- HP Fire
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor

I have to agree with pokemasta you do have a nice team one thing that i have noticed success with is instead of using mew try azelf, if you are going for that kind of nasty plot set and he has a very nice special attack and speed and with a timid nature its hard to out speed and take out heres my azelf just so you can kind of see a popular set

mew-->azelf
timid with 252 speed and special attack evs and 4 hp

-psyshock/psychic
-flamethrower
-nasty plot
-grass knot


i personally have found success with azelf and i really hope this helps you =)
 
How do you like azelf? One thing that might just be an opinion but instead of flamethrower I use fire blast, try it out it really can do some damage especially with nasty plot!
 
Ok first why do you give Latios Outrage on a Choiced specs set rather give it Draco Meteor. I also suggest using Skarmory over Drapion it gets Spikes, Stealth Rock and Whirlwind and Amazing DEF stat.
 
Thank you, I'll change Latios. As for Drapion, it may be a stupid reason but I use Drapion over pokemon like Skarmory because Drapion is my favourite :P

But Drapion works because Drapion has repectable all round stats.
