I haven't posted on Smogon at all since making this account. I'm just not a forum person. But I've been using teams, and I think I should post one team. I don't use many sets on Smogon, and the ones I do are generally because the Pokemon works for me only that way. I don't have pictures like other RMTs, but I figure everyone knows the Pokemon well enough.
This is my most successful OU team but I think it could use some revisions.
Ambipom @ Life Orb (SUPERMONKEY)
Ability: Technician
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed
Fake Out
Fire Punch
Low Kick
U-Turn
Ambipom's been one of my favorite leads to use. Fake Out generally is more for damage than it is for flinching. Fire Punch is just to catch some Pokemon offguard, especially Forretress and Scizor. Low Kick takes care of Tyranitars and surprisingly an occasional Weavile despite the lighter weight (I know Weavile's x4 weak, but as light as it is...). U-Turn lets me not only KO some Pokemon that may be weak to Bug but switch to something that can handle the current opponent. It also lets me switch in my Stealth Rock weak Pokemon before Stealth Rock comes in (since I for some reason can't adapt to using a single Rapid Spinner or Taunt lead).
Alakazam @ Choice Scarf (UNOIT)
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed
Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Psychic
Signal Beam
My favorite revenger. Although it usually only gets one kill, it has pulled off two kills because the opponent didn't expect the Scarf. I honestly don't know what these moves are for except Psychic and Focus Blast, I couldn't decide what moves. Guessing by my original way of thinking, I'd say Energy Ball was for some Water types like Suicune, so I could put a dent or even 2HKO before it sets Calm Minds. Focus Blast was for Heatrans and if I didn't want to switch, take a chunk from Max Defense Blisseys. Psychic is obviously for STAB, and it's powerful, even on some resisted hits. Signal Beam I guess is for Psychic types instead of Shadow Ball, and I prefer it to KO Celebis quicker. It also takes care of Dark types better than Focus Blast because of the higher accuracy.
Celebi @ Focus Sash (SomethingNew?)
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed
Seed Bomb
Swords Dance
U-Turn
Zen Headbutt
Celebi's been one of my favorites to use. Unlike most, it's physical. Because of that, it stops a lot of people with the unexpected Swords Dance. I gave a Focus Sash to ensure SD and hit against non-priority. Seed Bomb and Zen Headbutt are just basic STAB and flinch on Zen Headbutt is useful sometimes. These should probably change a little, but I prefer physical set, I still like the surprise factor. U-Turn is mostly for damage and switch, and it's nice to counter other Celebis and save mine for later. This one however has least coverage I believe, being walled by Steel types entirely, but I don't think that can change since it's physical.
Cradily @ Leftovers (NoneofThatNow)
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Attack
Curse
Rest
Rock Slide
Seed Bomb
One of my favorite things to do is use some NU in OU matches. Cradily's been one of my favorites. Although the set had to be revised after testing several times, I think this works best, except for being walled by Skarmory no matter what. The only thing it does to Skarmory is stay in from Suction Cups. Cradily generally comes in on special attackers lacking the strength to kill Cradily. While they hit, I Curse and then Rest and once I get enough boosts or they send in something physical, I start attacking. Cradily actually has decent STAB coverage, hitting a lot of OU Pokemon neutrally. Its type is decent defensively too. The only walling I've ever experienced was Skarmory, which resists Rock Slide after Roost.
Zapdos @ Leftovers (SQUAWK)
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP, 116 Defense, 140 Sp. Defense
Agility
Heat Wave
Roost
Thunderbolt
Zapdos has been one of my favorites. Unlike most sweeper sets, this one is built defensively. I sacrificed some power for bulk and gave it Agility, which after one boost, it outspeeds a lot of scarfed Pokemon. Speed and bulk is great, considering this thing can tank Ice Beams even when not Roosting. It even took Flygon's Outrages (They may not be THAT strong, but it's healing more than it's losing, which is amazing to me). The only problem is if the opponent still has something with Toxic or starts switching between one move and a ground move. Then it's just a guessing game.
Gyarados @ Leftovers (Rouge)
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP, 104 Defense, 152 Sp. Defense
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Waterfall
Bulky DD, essentially. I like this thing for tanking hits, but unfortunately it takes a few DDs to outspeed threats like Jolteons due to not having speed investment. Best meant for late game, like the Zapdos. I gave Adamant nature for some Attack at least. Earthquake is pretty much just power and for taking down Electric types that fortunately are slower. Stone Edge is for coverage and taking down Flying types, which I don't trust Ice Fang for, due to low power. Waterfall is basic STAB, and that rare flinch is great to have.
Well, this is my best OU team (hardly OU in my opinion), kind of unbalanced but it works for me. Feel free to edit it how you want, I'm open to suggestions.
NOTE: I don't use extra 4 EVs on some sets because I don't see the point in putting 1 extra point in HP. If it's divisible by 4 then if I have to switch a lot it won't be fun getting killed by Stealth Rocks.
