Hey guys, AceSat here. I have created this RMT because I feel like I really need help. Lately I've been playing OU with great success (1700 and still rising). However, as I returned to Ubers I find myself utterly destroyed at times with moderate success. So I have created this team in order to get my edge back. I have run many Hyper Offensive teams in Ubers before, but I feel like I need help from the community to rejuvinate myself. As a result, I give to you my Ubers team that is hyper offensive based on controlling the momentum in my favor and hope that you community members can help me with this. Please point out all of the weaknesses and be as scathing as possible lol. Thank you so much!
Zekrom @ Choice Band
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Bolt Strike
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Volt Switch
I used to have Giratina-O in this spot. The ever-presence of Xerneas on all teams and a weakness to Ho-Oh prompted this change. If played at the right time, it can KO these threats without problem. It hits like a truck with a Choice Band; gets 2 Hit KOs easily on resists. Volt Switch allows me to gain momentum on predicted switches to give me the advantage. Continuing on as a threat from last generation, the electric dragon shows why it is superior to its Kyurem form.
Arceus @ Life Orb
Ability: Multitype
Shiny: Yes
EVs:252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- ExtremeSpeed
- Shadow Claw
- Earthquake
Arceus my set up sweeper. This thing is able to clean teams after it has set up a sword dance. It is able to deal with many pokemon in the uber metagame and should not be discounted. In my use of him, the god of pokemon has been able to take out offensive threats such as choice Palkia variants. It also helps me mitigate any Xerneas issues by getting off 2 ExtremeSpeeds for significant damage. Earthquake is used here over recover to cover Arceus-Steel which usually switches into Arceus-Normal.
Xerneas @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 108 HP / 28 Def / 252 SAtk / 120 Spd
Modest Nature
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Thunder
Xerneas, the new uber of this generation. The standard set that sets up a geomancy and proceeds to completely destroy the opposition's team. It takes most hits naturally well do to its stats and is then able to be the destruction pokemon that was supposed to be in Y version. Its moves are pretty standard with good neutral coverage created. With its counters taken care of, it becomes the most capable late game sweepers in the uber tier.
Dialga @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 56 SAtk / 200 SDef
Modest Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Thunder
Dialga, one of the most versatile pokemon in ubers able to run support and an offensive set due to its typing and stats. Here the lord of time plays the support role in my team setting up stealth rocks and is able to take hits even with steel's nerf this generation. With thunder and fire blast, it is able to take advantage of weather set up by opposing Kyogre and Groudon while rounding out its coverage. It's utility is to be unquestioned and has won some games against threats such as Kyogre.
Blaziken @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Protect
- Hi Jump Kick
- Flare Blitz
Blaziken the first starter to be banished to ubers makes a return this generation with a mega evolution. Though it misses out on raw power from life orb, it gains higher speed and other base stats allowing more bulk to be added thus increasing its longevity. Correctly using a Swords Dance allows me to sufficiently dent the opponent's team. As such, these gains warrant it a spot in this team while also being the mega evolution of my team.
Genesect @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Download
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- U-turn
- Ice Beam
- Explosion
- Iron Head
The standard physical Genesect choice scarf set from last generation. With its high offensive stats, near-perfect movepool, and it's ability download, you get a monster of a pokemon. It is able to scout and force switches which allows me to send out the best matchup in my party. It allows me to gain momentum through U-turn and creates switch advantages. It also takes care of pesky darkrai, mewtwo, and deoxys while dealing significant damage to everything else.
- Note: I've done this through my phone so if there are any formatting errors on my part please don't hesitate to point them out.
