Team Dump
With the end of MOMPL, we invite you all to share the teams you used during the tournament. this is to help the devlopment of the Metagames and for newer players to see what is used in tournament play. Feel free to leave explanations to your teams.
Thanks already for everyone sharing their teams here in advance.

Hey everyone, with MOMPL II wrapped up here are the teams that I used in Mono UU.

Before I start, I want to give a huge thanks to the rest of the Turtwigs for an incredibly fun tour, I enjoyed playing and teambuilding alongside everyone!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Week 1:
This was my first time playing Mono UU ever, and the last time I ever got to use this busted rain team that Twinkay passed which was really fun.
It punches things until those things aren't in front of the team anymore, then Peli got cancelled which saddens me because I can't abuse it anymore.
Week 2:
This psychic that Seo passed was really fun too, banded Meta with twave support from Slowbro helps secure a lot of kills, and the deo-s helps take out the bulky waters that Meta can't handle. The team has a rough time vs hazard stack types like steel and ground, and can struggle to break through normal, however it is consistent into water, flying, dragon and fairy.
Week 3:
Gmolt is incredibly scary with tspikes, in unfavorable matchups it can still whittle things down for a late game hoopa clean. I opted for a specially inclined scarf hoopa, but you can go physical with hyperspace fury, drain punch, gunk shot. This team was built before Enamorus-I was freed, so I think this build has taken quite the hit overall since then. You can probably run something like spdef Overqwil with protect over crunch for chip healing, or AV Incineroar to not immediately die.
Week 4:
This is a pretty standard poison build, opted for air balloon moth over choice specs to apply pressure vs ground a bit easier without immediately fearing death. You still need to watch out for Flying and Dark, as this team doesn't have much of a way to handle Gmolt.
Semifinals:
This is my favorite team out of the tour, with Wellspring banned at the time of building this, NP Rotom-Wash helps win the water mirror match and gives you an EQ switch-in, and most types struggle to outright kill Suicune with tspikes support. Alomomola healing Tentacruel, Rotom and Suicune gives the team much more longevity. Double knock off helps vs the normal, dark and flying matchups by removing HDB from the field. You can alternatively run flip turn over knock off on Tenta for momentum.
Finals:
This team does lose to ice and fairy, but has good matchups across the board overall. I was vibing building this team until I got vibe checked.
Dark can be an issue with Weavile, however double intimidate from Lando + Gyara helps slow it down. Bulky DD Gyarados lets it still switch in on physical threats without it being too passive, and healing wish from Enamorus means that it can be brought back without needing to dedicate a moveslot to rest. You can still run the defensive set with thunder wave and roar on Gyarados, but the team has a ton of bulk as it is. There isn't a defogger on the team since we already handle rocks decently with Thundy and Arti having boots, and Gmolt doesn't mind the rock damage since rocks brings it closer to Berserk range.
Sup fam here are the LC teams AM use throughout MOMPL
WK1: Normal :doduo: :porygon: :meowth: :zorua-hisui: :shroodle: :munchlax:
Pretty straight forward normal, not really much to say. the thought process going into week 1 was to just abuse the busted type in lc lol so we went with normal. Meowth fake out + feint combination has little counterplay and makes a shit ton of progress.
WK2: Water :dewpider: :tentacool: :horsea: :wooper: :corphish: :wingull:
Faded's take on water LC with a lil spice to it; Webs Water ft. Focus Energy Horsea haha.
WK3: Dark :Scraggy: :vullaby: :inkay: :grimer-alola: :sandile: :stunky:
Inkay is the goat especially running it via Trick Room. It's a nice jumpscare / breathing room for speed control thats not choice lock and hits hard as hell. sweeping away the late game via superpower + psycho cut.
WK4: Poison :mareanie: :koffing: :grimer-alola: :glimmet: :salandit: :wooper-paldea:
Behind this i was predicting rarre to use Fighting or Water this week, so i suggested poison with Knock Off Choice Scarf Salandit to be annoying / catch swap ins that wall it. Poison overall is a solid type but he went Normal against us, we won but it was a close game, Normal op lmao.
WK5: Ground :Hippopotas: :Drilbur: :Toedscool: :Trapinch: :Wooper-Paldea: :Diglett-Alola:
literally the prep lmao. Trapnich did trapnich things haha.
Semis: Dragon :Frigibax: :Gible: :Axew: :Deino: :Bagon: :Dratini:
AM told me ho is the only way to play mons so i gave him a HO Dragon team but sadly once again Normal being normal lmao and meowth just clicking fake out, deleting all of our mons health is insane.
Finals: Steel :bronzor: :magnemite: :pawniard: :diglett-alola: :tinkatink: :sandshrew-alola:
Me and Faded both sat down and said enough is enough with busted ass Normal and we came to a conclusion, if your team beats Normal then its a good team. We decided to bring steel with ways to check its common weaknesses as well. Meowth cant spam fake out on us haha. Bronzor was the ultimate gamechanger running ID + CM but we almost got hit by a Curse Brick Break Munchlax haha. At the end this prove to be the Normal killer team and got us the DUB.
Overall, I had fun managing; Lastly, ban Meowth, its actually too much for Mono LC and hopefully see a ban on Meowth. Like always happy gaming!!
