Other Metagames Mono-Bug RMT

This is the second RMT I've created. I hope it goes better than the last one. It's a monotype bug team, so there isn't much wiggle room. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Lasagna (Crustle) (M) @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Shell Smash

One of my favorite Pokemon, Crustle is a great shell smasher. He was the first mon on this team, and hopefully he'll stay on it. His role is pretty self explanatory, he's my set up physical sweeper. X-Scissor and Stone Edge for STAB, Earthquake is coverage. I gave him Liechi Berry because it goes well with Sturdy, and boosts his attack without the need to shell smash.

armaldo.gif

Delta (Armaldo) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Battle Armor
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Rock Blast
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

My main hazard setter / rapid spinner, since most bugs are pretty allergic to rocks. I gave her Rock Blast because for a while, my team was getting annihilated by flying types. Earthquake for coverage, and leftovers because I need a spinner to stay alive longer than 2 rounds.

volcarona.gif

Freep (Volcarona) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 52 Spe
Bold Nature
- Fiery Dance
- Quiver Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Roost

Volcarona is one of the best special sweepers, despite it's 4x weakness to rock, and it's great in monotype. This is a pretty common moveset, Flame Body saves my butt a lot. Quiver Dance to set up, Roost because 4x rock weakness, Bug Buzz and Fiery Dance for STAB. The only problem with him is that he's slow without Quiver Dance, which is why I use...

galvantula.gif

Spitsy (Galvantula) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder
- Sticky Web
- Bug Buzz
- Energy Ball

Spitsy. I know, it's pretty common to have a Galvantula, but it's for good reason. Having Sticky Web and Thunder really benefits a bug team which is usually wrecked by fast flying types. She has Bug Buzz for stab, and Energy Ball for coverage against ground types.

yanmega.gif

Skip (Yanmega) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Giga Drain
- U-turn

Yanmega is probably my favorite bug/flying type, and there are a lot out there. I picked Yanmega because it has tinted lens, which is incredible on a bug team, seeing all the resistances. It has the choice specs because it's usually just a revenge killer or a hit-and-run style attacker. Bug Buzz and Air Slash for STAB, Giga Drain for coverage and healing purposes, and U-Turn because, as I mentioned before, hit-and-run.

scizor-mega.gif

Protobug (Scizor) (M) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Bug Bite

Scizor is the mega I chose, because it provided better coverage than Mega Pinsir. This is a pretty standard moveset, it allows Scizor to Swords Dance to it's full potential. Bullet Punch because priority + STAB, Bug Bite because this beast takes care of Azumarills pretty easily, and Superpower because after a Swords Dance, this thing can kick ass and take names.

Thanks for reading, and as I said before, any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Hi dude! Nice team, I love bug monotype myself :D.I have some changes I think would benefit the overall team.

On Volcarona I would run Hidden Power Ground>Bug Buzz, due to the fact that you are able to deal with steel teams a lot easier, being able to 2HKO Heatran, and deal with steel teams much easier. Also I would change the HP EV's on Volcarona to 248 HP, so that you are able to switch into Stealth Rocks Twice.

On Yanmega I would go Hidden Power Ice> U turn on Yanmega. With tinted lens, you don't really need to pivot out of anything, since you are hitting everything hard. Also, HP Ice is great since it hits things for heavy damage, like on Garchomp, Landorus, And Gliscor, getting a 1HKO on all of them. Also to take advantage of the raw power, you should go Timid Nature over Modest. This way you get the full speed out of Yanmega, and you're still able to hit hard.

This 1 is really optional, but you could also run Focus Sash over Life orb on Galvantula. This just ensures you get Sticky Webs up every time, but it's not really needed.

Spitsy (Galvantula) (F) @ Focus Sash
