Tournament Rules and Protocol:
- General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
- For each battle, you will only be allowed to use only one species of Pokémon, which will change for each game. Bringing the wrong species results in a loss by forfeit, no excuses.
- Best of five, single elimination.
- Battles must take place on main server or smogtours under Gen 8 1v1, Ubers or Anything Goes or National Dex, depending on which tier the Pokémon is in for the most recent game it is available in. 1v1 RULES STILL APPLY WHEN USING THESE FORMATS
- Build teams using 1 Pokémon, not 3 versions of the same Pokémon
- If you don't get your match done, we will give the activity win to someone or coinflip it. If both users are consistently making contact but can't set up a specific time, we will give an extension for 3 days. Do not rely on this because I might just flip your game if minimal effort was put in.
- Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
- Mono-x means only a specific species of Pokémon is allowed (Mono Moltres is a battle where only Moltres is allowed)
- If a species has multiple forms, any form is allowed (Mono Moltres would allow both Kantonian and Galarian forms)
- Battles are to be done in the lowest format that allows it (in order from regular 1v1, Ubers, National Dex, Anything Goes, to National Dex Anything Goes) that the Pokémon is allowed in (Mono Moltres would be in Gen 8, Mono Empoleon would be in National Dex, but would follow 1v1 clauses)
- Monopoke battles conducted in National Dex formats allow Z-Moves and Mega-Evolution (Mono Ampharos would allow both Ampharos and Mega Ampharos, or a regular Ampharos holding a Z-Crystal).

If you play with the recommended Pokémon, DO NOT POST REPLAYS!!!!
Mewtwo will need to be played in [Gen 8] Ubers, 1v1 clauses will still apply! Everything else is playable in [Gen 8] 1v1!
